Abstract

The cell is formed by stacking horizontal metal shrouds (87, 88, 89) each containing a breaker apparatus (18) and a set of horizontal busbars (26, 27, 28, 29) as well as connections (22) linking the breaker apparatus to the busbar set. The metal shrouds (87) can consist of perforated metal sheets bent and assembled together. Each shroud comprises a sheath (22) containing the busbar set, backing onto a sheath (33) containing the breaker apparatus, and a cable lead-out compartment (4). The unit is completed with a vertical cable sheath (41). The arrangement of the cell makes it possible to reduce the volume and complication of the totality of connections of the cell. <IMAGE>
