The invention relates to a device for testing and adjustment purposes, in particular for precision coordinatographs, with a natural stone plate with a highly precisely flat contact surface, and means for holding test objects by suction on the surface, which means several suction channel systems incorporated in the contact surface of the natural stone plate into which suction holes open , and means for selectively connecting the duct systems to a vacuum source.
It is known to produce adjusting plates as suction plates by machining from metal. Furthermore, it is already known to use natural stone plates as measuring, work and adjustment plates. However, the disadvantage of metal sheets is their limited service life and, in the case of formats from 1000x1000 mm2, the inadequate flatness deviation h150 µm. With natural stone slabs, on the other hand, it was difficult to introduce a suction system without causing any disadvantages in terms of evenness. The possibility of using flat glass worktops for vacuum holding devices is also not possible for economic or optical reasons.
In order to avoid the above-mentioned disadvantages, the invention is based on the object of creating a testing and adjusting device which has a highly precisely flat contact surface and means for holding test objects on the surface by suction. It combines the advantages of the known devices without taking over their shortcomings.
According to the invention, the object is achieved in that ceramic bushings which contain the suction holes are cemented into the holes in the plate that run perpendicular to the contact surface, which bushings have at least approximately the same material structure and hardness as the natural stone plate. Furthermore, it is advantageous to use threaded metal bushings in the suction holes on the underside of the natural stone plate for connecting the suction lines of the suction unit. What is particularly important with this solution is that with natural stone slabs only deviations in flatness of + 4um for formats up to 1200x1200 mm2 have to be expected. The service life compared to conventional gray cast iron plates can be increased three to five times by using natural stone.

The invention is explained in more detail below, for example, using two schematic sketches. Show it:
Fig. 1 the natural stone plate with suction system in plan view,
2 shows a part of the natural stone plate in cross section at a bore.
In FIG. 1, 1 represents a natural stone slab. Perpendicular to a suction surface 7, bores 3 are included which are connected in the suction surface 7 by suction channels 2.
In Fig. 2, 1 again denotes the natural stone plate and 3 again denotes one of the holes. In the upper part, the bore 3 is provided with a ceramic bushing 4 which terminates with the suction surface 7 and is provided with an opening 5. In the lower part of the bore 3, flush with the lower side of the natural stone slab 1, there is a threaded metal bushing 6.

A body, not shown, located on the suction surface 7, depending on its size, covers part or the entirety of the suction channels 2 with the associated suction bores 5. By means of corresponding line systems, not shown, which can be screwed into the threaded bushings 6, there is the possibility of air suction with the aid of a vacuum pump, not shown, from the interior of the bore and thus to empty the corresponding intake ducts 2 via the openings 5 in the ceramic bushings 4. This ensures that the body adheres firmly to the suction surface 7.
