The invention relates to a device for moving a tool, with a support for the tool, which can be moved from an initial position into several working positions and back into the initial position.
In automatic machines with high long-term accuracy of their tools, there is a need to bring the working units carrying the tools not only precisely but also quickly into their respective working positions, with the control arrangements used for this purpose being of simple construction.
Such work units, which are arranged, for example, on table top machines, are u. a. Drilling, turning, reaming, milling, thread cutting units. Usually these working units have two working members. The first working member is used to drive the tool and has, for example, a gear transmission to drive a drilling tool at a predetermined speed, and the second working member is a z. B. controlled by a hydraulic feed gear hydraulic member that the longitudinal movement of the z. B. drilling tool controls, d. H. controls the advance of the tool, the drill hole depth and finally the retraction of the drilling tool in rapid traverse when drilling.
The stated aim is achieved according to the invention in that a fluid-operated actuating element with a mechanically limited stroke is present for each working position, each actuating element only moving the carrier from one position to the respective subsequent working position Displacement direction are each separated by a distance which is equal to the distance between the respective two working positions, and that a control device acts on the actuating members.
The subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, for example.
The figure shows a longitudinal section through a device for moving a tool.
In the drawing, a support frame is shown which has a first frame part 1 for connection to the machine frame. A second frame part 2 is connected to the first frame part 1 by means of screw bolts 3, 4. The second frame part 2 is connected to the first frame part 1 so as to be longitudinally displaceable, the displacement being able to be carried out precisely by means of a further screw bolt 5. The frame part 2 carries a cylinder block, which is designated generally by 6. An elongated, tubular carrier 7 is mounted in the cylinder block 6.
The carrier 7 is longitudinally displaceable and serves to carry and longitudinally displace the working unit, which can be, for example, a sawing unit, drilling unit, milling unit, thread-cutting unit, piercing unit, etc. For this purpose, the carrier has an annular face plate 8 which is provided with screw bolts 9 by means of which the respective working unit can be firmly connected to the carrier 7.
At the opposite end, the carrier 7 is connected to a plate 10 running perpendicular to its longitudinal axis. A plurality of holes 11 are formed in this plate, which holes 11 are arranged along a circular line.
A drive shaft 12 for the working unit is mounted in the carrier 7 by means of roller bearings, one being a ball bearing 13 and the other being a roller bearing 14. The end of the drive shaft 12 protruding from the carrier 7 has a bevel gear 14 which is intended for engagement with the drive gear of the respective working unit connected to the carrier 7.
The other end of the drive shaft 12 is designed as a splined shaft 15 which engages in a sleeve 16 which cannot be displaced in the axial direction and which is supported by roller bearings 17 and 18.
The drive shaft 12 is thus in engagement with the sleeve 16 that drives it in every position. This sleeve 16 carries a belt pulley 19. This belt pulley 19 is drive-connected by means of a belt 20 to a further belt pulley 21 which is connected to the drive shaft 22 of a motor 23 .
When the engine is rotating, the working unit is continuously driven via belt pulley 21, belt 20, belt pulley 19, sleeve 16, splined shaft 15, drive shaft 12 and bevel gear 14, regardless of the respective axial position of drive shaft 12, which is longitudinally displaceable with carrier 7.
The carrier 7 is firmly connected to an actuating piston 24 and is longitudinally displaceable by means of this. This adjusting piston 24 is surrounded by a cylinder 25 in which the carrier 7 is mounted via intermediate members. The cylinder 25 is supported by the cylinder block 6 or the second frame part 2. The cylinder block 6 for its part carries a cover plate 26 of a housing 127.
This plate 26 carries a plurality of hydraulic actuators, the longitudinal center axes 27 of which coincide with the center lines of the holes 11. The cylinder 28 of each actuator is welded to the plate 26. A single-acting piston 29 is arranged in the cylinder 28.
The cylinder 28 is also connected to a line 30 for supplying hydraulic fluid. Each piston 29 has a shoulder 30 which is intended to rest on and move the plate 10 connected to the carrier 7.
A peg 31 protrudes from the piston 29 at one end face and protrudes through the hole 11 in the plate 10.
Opposite each pin 31 is a stop which is part of a screw bolt 32. Each screw bolt 32 is connected to a second cover plate 33 of the housing.
Each screw bolt 32 is now designed in such a way that it has an end face 34, the end faces 34, viewed in the longitudinal direction of the carrier 7, each being separated from one another by a distance that corresponds exactly to the respective distance between two working positions of the working unit.
The operation now proceeds as follows.
The motor 23 is continuously in operation, so that the drive shaft 12 rotates continuously and therefore z. B. the drill of the working unit rotates continuously.
To reach the starting position from any position, pressure oil is controlled in the annular space 35 between the cylinder 25 and piston 24, all other pressure oil lines, in particular the lines 41 of the actuators 28, 29, being depressurized. The same oil pressure prevails in the annular space 36 between the piston 24 and cylinder 25 as in the annular space 35. However, because the control surface 38 of the piston 24 facing the annular space 35 has a larger surface than the control surface 39 facing the annular space 36, a leftward force acts on the piston 24 and therefore moves it to the left into an initial position. The piston 24 moves the carrier 7 connected to it and thus the working unit with the tool to the left into the starting position.
In this starting position, i. H. In the end position of the actuating piston 24, an oil pressure consequently builds up in its supply line. This oil pressure acts on a control piston (not shown) which is moved into a position in which the line 41 to the single-acting piston 29 is connected to the pressure oil source. Thus, an oil pressure is built up in the space 40 in front of the piston 29, which pushes the piston 29 to the right. The piston 29 rests with its shoulder 30 on the plate 10 of the carrier 7 and pushes the plate 10 and the carrier 7 to the right until the pin 31 strikes the end face 34 of the screw bolt 32. In this position, the carrier 7 and thus the working unit are in the first working position.
Because the piston 29 cannot be moved any further, an oil pressure builds up in the line 41 and therefore in the control piston mentioned, whereby the control piston is pushed into a further position in which it feeds pressure oil to a hydraulic feed gear.
The design of the hydraulic feed gear that controls the working unit as such is known and therefore it is not described in detail.
When the work to be performed by the working unit is completed, the hydraulic feed gear causes the single-acting piston assigned to the second working position to be acted upon with pressurized oil. This second, single-acting piston thus pushes the plate 10 of the carrier 7 further to the right. Because the first single-acting piston 29 now rests with its pin 31 on the end face 34, it cannot move any further to the right. The plate 10 thus slides along the pin 31 until the pin of the second single-acting piston rests on the end face of the stop assigned to it.
Because a separate actuating unit 28, 29 with separate stroke limits 32, 34 is now available for each working position, the various working positions can be set and reached with the greatest possible precision.
At the end of the last work step of the working unit, all hydraulic parts except the piston 24 are relieved. The carrier 7 and the plate 10 are displaced to the left by the oil pressure present on the piston surface 38. Thus, the plate 10 pushes all single-acting pistons 29 resting on it with the shoulder 30 back into their starting position, so that the next workpiece automatically presented to the working unit can be processed.
