The invention relates to a pendulum aileron for aerodynamic control of aircraft.
The invention is based on the object of eliminating any flaps, enabling the rotation of two wing halves and overcoming the resulting forces. It must be possible to rotate the wing halves in the opposite direction and in the same direction.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the entire wings in the fuselage are rotatably mounted in a bearing device, and that an actuating device, into which pins protruding from the wings engage, transmits the movement from a control linkage directly to the wing.
The device for mounting and operating the pendulum aileron thus consists of two main groups. One main group - called the bearing device - creates the connection between the fuselage and the wings and enables the wings to rotate. The other main group is used to control the wings - called actuators.
The device is preferably made of metal, in particular anticorodal or steel, or of plastic.
An exemplary embodiment is described in more detail below with reference to a drawing. It shows: Positions 1 to 5 the continuously adjustable bearing device with its associated plug connection.
Position 6 to 10 the actuating device for controlling the wings and
Position 11 the wing lock.
The bearing sleeves 2 are pushed onto the bearing sleeve 1 and fixed to the desired size. The socket pins 3 protrude from the bearing surfaces into the bearing sleeves, in which they can also rotate.
Alternatively, a continuous support bolt can also be attached to the fuselage, on which a bearing sleeve 4 arranged in the support surface is rotatably mounted.
The actuating device with the parts 7 to 10 for controlling the wings can be arranged in front of or in the rear bearing device - 1 to 5 -. The rotation of the wings is performed by the engagement of the pin 6 protruding from the wing in the control lever 8 and its actuation by the pilot or a remote control.
The continuously possible adaptation of the bearing device and the arbitrarily possible arrangement of the actuating device make it possible to equip a large number of aircraft types with a pendulum aileron control and to control them aerodynamically without loss. Furthermore, since both control levers for the two wing halves can work independently of one another, a simultaneous rotation of the wings can also be achieved via a mixing lever mechanism, which extends the range of applications.
