Fig. 1 einen Längsschnitt durch einen Zünder in einer Transportstellung;
Fig. 2 einen Querschnitt nach Linie Il-II in Fig. 1;
The invention relates to a detonator for a Drallge shot with an electromagnetic ignition current generator and with an ignition chain for initiating an explosive charge of the twist projectile, the ignition current generator having a
Has coil armature.
In a known igniter of this type, the ignition chain is arranged in the axial direction adjacent to the ignition current generator. It is disadvantageous that the
The ignition chain and the generator take up a lot of space, which is then no longer available for further detonator parts or for the explosives.
The invention is based on the object of creating an igniter in which the ignition chain and the ignition current generator take up a smaller space.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that at least part of the ignition chain is arranged in a bore in the coil armature.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the igniter according to the invention is shown and described in more detail below. Show it:
1 shows a longitudinal section through an igniter in a transport position;
FIG. 2 shows a cross section along line II-II in FIG. 1;
3 shows a partial illustration of the detonator corresponding to FIG. 1 after it has been fired.
According to FIG. 1, the igniter has an igniter housing 1, which consists of a front housing part 2 and a rear housing part 3, which are connected to one another with screws 14, 26. The detonator is arranged in a blind hole 4 in a rear part 5 of a projectile and is supported on the bottom of the same. The blind hole 4 is concentric to the floor axis. In a central bore 6 of the rear housing part 3, two detonator elements indicated by dash-dotted lines in the drawing, a power storage unit 7 and control electronics 8 are arranged.
The housing part 3 has a cover 9 with a forwardly projecting, cylindrical extension 10, in which the front housing part 2 is centered. The front housing part 2 has a groove 11, in the center plane of which the igniter axis lies. In the groove 11, a two-pole armature 12 is arranged (see Fig. 2) and has a hollow cylindrical, central to keil 13 with a bottom 13a, which is supported on a recess in the housing cover 9 concentric to the fuse axis. The front housing part 2 is supported under the pressure of the screws 14, 26 on an end face of the armature part 13, whereby the armature 12 is non-positively connected to the igniter housing 1. Two arms 15 projecting outward from the central anchor part 13 are supported on the extension 10 of the rear housing part 3. Two windings 16 are arranged on the arms 15.
In a bore 13b in the armature part 13, an ignition element 17 is arranged as part of an ignition chain of the igniter. The ignition element 17 contained in a jacket comprises a further not provided, electrically ignitable, flame-generating ignition charge. A contact pin 18 of the ignition element 17 protrudes through a bore in the bottom 13 a of the armature part 13 into a plug part 19 which is arranged in the bore 6 of the rear housing 3 and engages in a bore in the housing cover 9. The plug 19 is connected to the power storage 7 in a manner not shown further.
The front end face of the front housing part 2 has a recess 20a in which a rotor 20 is rotatably mounted, the axis of the rotor 20 being parallel to the projectile axis. The rotor 20 has an eccentric bore 21 in which a detonator 22 forming part of the ignition chain is arranged. In a so-called focusing of the rotor 20, the axis of the bore 21 coincides with the igniter axis. The charge of the detonator can be initiated by the flame effect of the ignition element 17. The groove 11 is in spatial connection with the bore 21 containing the detonator 22 through bores 23, 24 in the housing 1 and in the rotor 20.
A cover 25 closes the detonator housing 1 towards the front. The detonator is retained therein by a plate 102 which is inserted into a threaded portion of the bore 4 of the projectile tail portion 5. A capsule 27 containing a booster charge, which is concentric to the fuse axis, forms the last link in the ignition chain of the fuse. The capsule 27 is fastened in a bore 101 of the plate 102 and protrudes forwards into an explosive charge 28 which is arranged in a projectile body part 29 screwed to the rear part 5.
An annular, two-pole field magnet 30 is arranged in an outer recess 31 of the igniter housing 1.
The magnet 30 is firmly connected to a first race 32 of a longitudinal ball bearing 40 and is supported by balls 33 on a second race 34. The balls 33 are not separated from one another by a cage, so that the correspondingly large number of balls can be arranged in order to achieve the necessary load-bearing capacity of the bearing. The support surface over which the magnet 30 or
the first race 32, which is firmly connected to it, is supported on the balls 33 and is denoted by 39. The second raceway 34 rests on protrusions 36 of a ring 35, which are directed forward and are arranged at regular angular distances from one another, which is supported on a rear flank 37 of the annular groove 31 directed perpendicular to the fuse axis. In FIG. 1, the magnet 30 is shown in the transport position, in which it is held pressed against a front flank 38 of the annular groove 31 with its end face under the pressure of the prestressed bulges 36 of the ring 35. In Fig. 3 the position of the field magnet is shown after the projectile has been fired, in which the bulges are compressed.
The structure described results in the following mode of operation: The fact that the field magnet 30 is pressed against the front flank in the transport position prevents the magnet 30 from rotating relative to the projectile before firing. When the projectile starts to accelerate when it is fired, the bulges 36 of the ring 35 are compressed under the effect of the inertial force acting on the magnet 30. As a result, the magnet 30, as shown in FIG. 3, is free so that it does not receive any rotary drive from the detonator housing 1, which is now rotating with the projectile. The inner and outer circumferential surfaces of the magnet 30 and the raceway 32 are also free, in that they are at a distance both from the wall of the bore 4 and from the base 31a of the annular groove 31.
As a result of its storage on balls, the magnet 30 automatically assumes the stable equilibrium position in which it is centered on the rear raceway 34 when fired under the action of the inertial force acting on it, and maintains this when passing through the tube. In this position, the magnet 30 touches neither the rear part 5 nor the igniter housing 1. Because of its arrangement in the annular groove 31 of the igniter housing 1, ie on the largest possible diameter, the magnet 30 has a large mass moment of inertia. Because of this large moment of inertia of the magnet 30 and its mounting on a roller bearing, a large relative speed of rotation occurs between it and the armature coil 12, 16 in the acceleration phase of the projectile in the weapon barrel.
The fact that the ignition capsule 17 is arranged in the interior of the bore 13b in the armature part 13 results in a significant saving in space which can be used for the arrangement of other detonator parts or the explosive.
