Novel cpds. of formula (I): (where R1 is OH and R2 is H or R1 is H and R2 is OH; R3 and R4 are H or 1-5C alkyl gps; p and q are each 1 or p = 2 and q = 0; X is an alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl alkaryl or aralkyl gp. opt. OH-substd., m is 1 or 2 or may be 0 when q = 1, n is 0, 1 or 2; L is a ligand of formula (II): R5-N(R6)-R7 (II) (in which R5 is alkyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkylthioalkyl, aryl, aralkyl or cycloalkyl and R6 is H, alkyl, aralkyl or cycloalkyl or R5 and R6 together with the N-atom form a pyrrolidine, piperidine or morpholine ring opt. alkyl-substd. and R7 is H, alkyl or aralkyl gp.) Partic pref. is cpd.
