Abstract

A packing tray for holding a number of yogurt cartons enables secure location of cartons and ease of stacking. The tray has main formers (1, 2), top and bottom joined together with ribs (8) and a series of hollow section legs (4) of a tapered form. The tapered legs (4) are joined together by inclined ribs (7) that form the necessary location for the square cross-section tapered cartons (6). The bottom of the tray directly under each carton has diagonal intersecting ribs (5). The tapered hollow section legs allow one empty tray to interlock with another to provide a saving in storage space. A plastic material insensitive to moisture and of low specific weight is used.

Description

Fig. 2 einen Schnitt nach der Linie II-II der Fig. 1.

The subject of the present invention is a harass which is used to hold cups, in particular yoghurt or quark cups. The aim of the invention is to create a reusable, lightweight and yet dimensionally stable Harass which can be stacked in the smallest possible space when not in use. According to the invention there are two spaced apart frames connected to one another by means of webs, the lower frame carrying a framework serving as a support for the cups, which has upwardly projecting intermediate webs through which the receiving space for the cups is divided into at least approximately square compartments.

An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing. Show it:
Fig. 1 is a view from above and partially seen from below,
FIG. 2 shows a section along the line II-II in FIG. 1.

The present Harass has two frames 1, 2 lying one above the other, which are connected to one another by webs 3 and 4. The lower frame carries a framework 5, which is intended to carry the inserted compartments 6. Upwardly projecting intermediate webs 7 are fastened to the framework, by means of which the receiving space is divided into at least approximately square compartments 8. In these compartments, the parts of the framework lie diagonally, which means that both square and round cup bases are safely supported. The intermediate webs 7 consist of relatively thin, obliquely upwardly projecting strips 7a, which are connected below with the framework and above unit plates 7b.

The webs 4 are hollow and protrude beyond the frame 1 at the bottom.

In the case of stacked empty crates, these protruding shoulders protrude into the cavities of the webs 4 of a crate below, which enables a larger number of empty crates to be stacked safely. At certain crossing points of the framework, round, preferably cup-shaped connecting elements 9 are arranged, which give the framework additional strength.

In the case of stacked, filled crates, the skeleton of the upper crate rests on the cup lids of the lower crate, while a connecting element 9 protrudes between the lids 10 of four underlying cups, which also enables stacked and filled crates to be secured. In FIG. 1, a cup lid 10 of a square-shaped cup is drawn in and it can be clearly seen that there is space for a connecting element 9 between four adjacent lids 10. Of course, round cups can also be placed in the compartments 8. However, a larger gap remains between the lids of four adjacent cups. The diameter of the connecting elements is therefore selected to be correspondingly larger for crates for holding round cups.

The Harass is made of a moisture-resistant material, in particular plastic, is very light in weight and very easy to stack when empty. Stacked crates only take up the space corresponding to their height.
