Fig. 1 das Schaltschema des Ausführungsbeispiels und

The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for generating alternating voltages and bipolar voltage pulses from a direct voltage with a transformer which has at least one primary winding and at least one secondary winding and which can be conductively connected to at least one direct voltage source with at least one controllable switching element on the primary side.
The transformer is connected to a direct voltage source by controllable electrical or electronic switching elements (transistors, thyristors, electron tubes, relays, etc.) on the primary side in such a way that, viewed as a whole, the primary voltage is an alternating voltage.
Such circuits are known as so-called DC voltage AC voltage converters, for example as so-called push-pull converters, with one pole of the DC voltage source being connected to the tap of the primary winding of the transformer, while a controllable switching element is connected between the two end connections of the primary winding and the other pole of the battery will. By alternately switching the switching elements on and off, an alternating voltage is generated across the primary winding, which is transmitted to the secondary side and is available there for a consumer. This circuit requires two controllable switching elements and the associated control circuits for operation.
The invention is based on the object of saving at least one of the controllable switching elements and the associated control. This is achieved according to the invention by a transformer which, during the time in which the controllable switching element connects the transformer with the primary conductor to the DC voltage source, stores magnetic energy which, after the controllable switching element has been switched off, reverses the polarity of the transformer's primary voltage Automatically effected, and by at least one diode that maintains the uninterrupted flow of the magnetizing current
The transformer can advantageously be constructed in such a way that its core has at least one cavity through which at least a part of the magnetic flux passes,
and which is at least partially filled with a material whose permeability is lower than that of the actual core material.
Such a transformer core can expediently consist of particles of a material of higher permeability, which are connected with the aid of a binder of lower permeability, the particles of higher permeability being magnetically isolated by the binder of lower permeability.
The or one of the diodes can be a Zener diode.
An exemplary embodiment of the circuit arrangement according to the invention is described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing. Show it:
Fig. 1 shows the circuit diagram of the embodiment and
2 shows the variation over time of the secondary voltage in this circuit arrangement.
It is a push-pull converter. The transformer (TF) shown in Fig. 1 has an air gap in the core (K) which allows magnetic energy to be stored. The two primary windings (Pl and P2) have the same direction of winding and are connected to the negative pole of the battery - (B) via a controllable switching element, the transistor (T) and the diode (D). The positive pole of the battery is connected to connected to the tap (A) of the transformer. A control circuit (S) has the task of switching the transistor (T) on and off.
If the transistor (T) is switched on for a period of time T1, a positive voltage of + VB is applied to the winding (P1) during this time. A voltage + V1 therefore appears on the secondary side. During the time T1, magnetic energy is stored in the transformer core. When the transistor (T) is switched off, the flow of the magnetizing current is not interrupted, which is why the voltage across the winding (P2) becomes so negative that the diode (D) becomes conductive. Then there is a negative voltage of approximately VB across the winding (P2).
On the secondary side, therefore, a voltage V2 with the opposite sign now appears, which remains until the magnetic energy in the transformer has been dissipated, for which a time T2 is necessary. Then the diode (D) stops conducting and the voltage on the secondary side becomes zero.
The main advantage of the invention is that half of the normally required controllable switching elements and the associated controls can be saved, which results in a significant simplification of the overall structure and thus also a reduction in manufacturing costs.
The circuit arrangements which make use of the invention can be used as DC / AC converters. Since the first output voltage pulse is immediately followed by a pulse of the opposite sign, the circuit arrangement according to the invention is also ideally suited as a driver output stage for switching power transistors and other active switching elements on and off.
