EMI1.1
et
E23= Rg H # Dm (V/km) (3)
#k sachant que
H rc D, (4)

X =2 1. (Lg+ Lo) partie inductive de l'impédance de l'armure (S2,
km)
Lg=inductance de l'armure (H/km)
(=2 mH!km)
H =champ magnétique (A/m) = facteur de réduction
J =courant perturbateur dans l'armure (A)
'SFe = section magnétique effective de l'armure (m2)
AL = aluminium
PE = polyé.hylène
long (aluminium, fer, cuivre, etc.),
CC = deux feuillards d'acier appliqués avec déjoint de 10 à 30%
The present invention relates to a telecommunications cable comprising an armor comprising at least one conductive sheath. a magnetic sheath, and traction means. Telecommunications earth should be understood in its most general sense and includes telephone transmission cables as well. cables for signaling, remote control or data transmission.
The armor, term by which we usually designate the lensemt1le of the components placed on the strand, is one of the means used to attenuate the tensions induced in the strand by magnetic fields emitted by disturbing sources such as high voltage Åa lines, thyristor locomotives, etc.
The attenuation of the disturbance voltages induced is given by the reduction factor of the armor defined as the ratio between the longitudinal voltage induced on a protected conductor (El2 in V km) and the longitudinal voltage induced on an unprotected conductor (E: 3 in V / km).
The type of cable considered further comprises traction means. generally formed by metal flats wound in a helix, intended to allow the laying of the cable.
In cables of this type known to date, the traction flats have been considered as essentially mechanical aux.liaires and as such placed outside the magnetic layer.
The object of the invention is to optimize, that is to say to obtain a cable of this type, the performance of which is the best possible for the cost as low as possible.
The calculation and the measurements carried out show that it is possible to keep the reduction factor rk within very narrow limits, the calculation and the measurement showing the existence of a fixed line of the curve rk (f. E23) where f represents the disturbing frequency and E23 the longitudinal disturbance voltage induced in an unprotected conductor.
However if one considers the elementary relations, valid for a cable of simple structure of the type strand / conductive sheath / magnetic sheath:
EMI1.1
and
E23 = Rg H # Dm (V / km) (3)
#k knowing that
H rc D, (4)

and 'SFe
L, = (5) with R = DC resistance of the armor (Q / km)
X = 2 1. (Lg + Lo) inductive part of the armor impedance (S2,
km)
Lg = armor inductance (H / km)
Lo = inductance of the earth current return circuit
(= 2 mH! Km)
H = magnetic field (A / m) = reduction factor
J = disturbance current in the armor (A)
'SFe = effective magnetic section of the armor (m2)
Dm = diameter of retention of the magnetic sheath of the armor (m)
, uO = absolute permeability of vacuum (H / m) Pr = relative permeability (y)
we see that Lg passes through a maximum for a value of
ltr (H) depending only on the magnetic material. As
The armor has a fixed structure, this maximum of L2 takes place for a fixed current J.
To this maximum of Lg corresponds the minimum of the reduction factor (r} mf) for the frequency considered.
The existence of this minimum allows the optimal construction, a priori, of the cable if one fixes (rkmf, E23, f) and takes into account the variations of rkmf as a function of R g and Lg.
Using the general reduction factor equation which takes into account conductive layers applied to the magnetic layer of the armor, it can be shown that the most favorable armor structure is where all of the conductive part is under the layer. magnetic.
On the basis of these considerations, the conventional structure of the armor has been modified and the telecommunications cable according to the invention is characterized by the fact that said traction means are located under the magnetic layer.
The traction means may consist, for example, of flats or traction wires. As for the magnetic sheath itself, it can consist, for example, of steel tapes.
The traction means can thus form an integral part, as components, of the conductive sheath, which makes it possible to reduce the quantity of conductive material used for the manufacture of the armor, and hence to lower the cost of the cable.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the cable according to the invention.
The only figure in the drawing represents a view of the cable showing the different layers constituting it.
Starting from the center, one distinguishes successively the strand 1, a first conductive sheath, commonly called sealing sheath, consisting of a layer of aluminum 2, an insulating layer of polyethylene 3, a second conductive sheath consisting of a first layer traction 4 consisting of Aluman (registered trademark) flats wound helically, on the right or left, and of a second traction layer 5 consisting of Aluman flats helically wound on the left or on the right, an insulating layer of fabric 6, a magnetic sheath consisting of four successive layers of steel strips 7, 8, 9 and 10 and finally an insulating outer sheath 11 of polyethylene. The traction flats are therefore located under the magnetic sheath, unlike what is the case in previous executions.
The armor is therefore of the ALPE FFAluman 1.2 CCT type where, conventionally,
AL = aluminum
PE = polyethylene
F = flat metal wire applied without joint in a helical pitch
long (aluminum, iron, copper, etc.),
1 strand or bundle of conductors, 2 = aluminum tape laid lengthwise with cover
ment, or copper tape, or lead sheath, for example,
CC = two steel strips applied with 10 to 30% gap
in two superimposed layers, the upper strap covers
checking the gap of the lower strip,
T = thermoplastic sheath; usually PE or PVC.
The reference diameter of the magnetic sheath Dm is
measured on the first steel strip 7. The sheath diameter, that is to say the diameter of the strand 1 is 25.8 mm. The calculation
predicted a reduction factor rkmf = 0.083 for a voltage
longitudinal 101 V / km at a frequency of 16% Hz.
measurements gave rkmf = 0.072 for E23 = 95 V / km, i.e. 13 and 6%
difference between calculation and measurement.
This new type of armor gives the same possibilities of
poses that the usual weaves such as Pb CF, or C and F have
the same meaning as above.
It should be emphasized that the armor could be, for example,
of the PE FF CCT type, the traction flats being in this case
in the first conductive sheath or sealing sheath.
