Abstract

The machine for coating the undersides of skis with an anti-friction coating of waxy material, which permits the surfaces to be coated while the user is still wearing the skis consists of an open topped box with rollers mounted across it, each roller consisting of a double roller mounted on a spindle with a gap between the two roller portions with a set of drive bolts located in the gaps between. Two double rollers are mounted in blocks supported by springs, so that when pushed down, they operate a heater to blow warm air into the skis. Under the rollers are mounted jets to direct the sprays of melted wax upwards, also operated by the movement of the rollers.
