Suitable dyes are dyes of the most varied classes commonly used in transfer printing; H. preferably those of the azo, anthraquinone, quinophtha lon and methine series, as z. B. in French patents 1,223,330, 1,575,069, 1,573,698, 1,585,119 and in Belgian patent 791,747.
Suitable binders are water-soluble (or natural or synthetic, physically drying products made water-soluble by conventional saponification processes), such as are normally used for the production of flex and screen printing inks. Examples include: shellac and homo- and copolymers based on vinyl acetate, vinyl alcohol, vinyl chloride, acrylic acid, acrylic esters, methacrylic acid, crotonic acid and / or maleic acid. Polymers such as those described in DOS 2,161,909 are particularly suitable.

The alkali and alkaline earth metals as well as aluminum and titanium, but also heavy metal sulfides and oxides into consideration. Examples include: magnesium, calcium and barium carbonate; Calcium and barium sulfate; Sodium (potassium) aluminum silicates; Aluminum, titanium, silicon, cadmium oxides; Zinc, tin, lead and cadmium sulfides and the like a. m. Fine, natural calcium-magnesium carbonates (dolomite) are particularly suitable. Mixtures of these compounds can also be used.
Suitable thickeners are swelling clays, vegetable kernel meal ethers (such as locust bean meal ether and guar meal derivatives, e.g. guaranate D) and alginates.
Suitable surface-active agents are nonionic compounds, such as alkyl polyglycol ethers and alkylphenol polyglycol ethers, and anionic compounds such as naphthalenesulfonic acid-formaldehyde condensates.

Rest: water
The percentages here mean percentages by weight which relate to the pure, undiluted solid or liquid components.
The auxiliary carriers according to the invention are in particular printed in one or more colors on rotary film printing (screen printing) machines of conventional design (80-100 mesh screens) at the printing speed customary in practice, preferably without any intermediate drying.
Particularly suitable substrates for the auxiliary carriers are those made of paper with preferably high absorbency (Cobb value> 80).
Suitable materials onto which the prints can be transferred from the auxiliary carrier are nonwovens, foils and, above all, woven fabrics made of preferably synthetic material, in particular those made of aromatic polyesters, cellulose triacetate (without so-called S-finish), super polyamides and acrylonitrile polymers; Polyester fiber materials are particularly suitable.
It is already known to use aqueous printing inks of sublimable dyes for the production of printed auxiliary carriers for transfer printing. However, the use of these inks is largely limited to printing in the gravure or flexographic printing process, which normally does not cause any particular problems, since in these processes the layers of printing ink are relatively thin, i.e. relatively small amounts of water are used, and on the other hand, those that are used in practice Printing machines are equipped with drying devices.
The gravure printing process, which allows the production of particularly fine screen motifs on the auxiliary carrier and thus on the printing material, has the disadvantage that the production of the etched or engraved gravure cylinders is very complex, which makes the transfer printing process economically viable, especially for those that frequently occur in the textile sector negatively influenced by smaller print runs.
On the other hand, the more efficient flexographic printing, which uses cheap rubber clichés, cannot meet the high requirements in terms of screen fineness.
The film or screen printing to be used according to the invention, which combines the advantages of the above-mentioned processes - namely screen resolution and inexpensive printing form, has not been able to fully establish itself using the printing inks that have been customary up to now, since relatively large amounts of printing ink ( and thus amounts of water) are applied and the lack of intermediate drying devices in the conventional film and screen printing machines cause considerable printing difficulties, which one tried to overcome, for example, by working with very absorbent and highly filled papers as an auxiliary carrier.
However, this method of operation has the disadvantage that relatively large amounts of the dye contained in the printing ink break into the paper together with the water (i.e. penetrate) and do not get onto the substrate during the subsequent transfer printing process, i.e. H. the dye yield is relatively low. In addition, highly filled papers are relatively expensive and have a low tear resistance.
The high-filler printing inks according to the invention are distinguished by the fact that only a small amount of dye penetrates the paper during printing and they are also suitable for printing low-ash papers.
Even papers with low absorbency (i.e. down to Cobb values of 30) can be printed with good success without intermediate drying.
When transfer printing the auxiliary carriers printed with the new inks, prints of strong color, sharp contours are obtained on the substrates with high dye yields.
The invention is illustrated by the following examples:
