Abstract

The spine is formed from extruded aluminium sections (2), fitting together. A wide flat base (21a) has a vertical rib (19) towards the back and a downward pointing rib (25) underneath is used to locate into the section below. The top is flat (18) with a deep groove (27), towards the front, for the location rib (25). A central horizontal rib (17) has pointed teeth (28, i9) for holding the display board (30) and sample (31) onto the base (21a). At the rear, a T section rib (22) forms recesses (23, 24) into which are fitted, each side of the rib, flexible rubber strips (32) forming a hinge. Top and bottom ccaps are fitted, as well as end plugs.
