Socket for resilient attachment of a post and method of making the socket
The present invention relates to a base for resilient fastening of a post, in particular for traffic signs, with a rigid hollow body consisting of side walls as well as ceiling plate and base plate, in which a deformable body is arranged, which is located on a movable clamping plate located above the base plate and which has one under an opening the top plate located on the top plate, to which the post is attached, presses against the top plate. It also relates to a method of making this base.
Such a base is very advantageous because, for. B.
when approaching a post attached to it, the top plate is tilted around an edge portion supported on the top plate, the deformable body being pressed together, which causes a rapid increase in the counterforce. This counterforce can be achieved through the choice of the deformable body, e.g. B. rubber, foam, spring, or only plastically deformable mass or body can be selected. Combinations of elastically and plastically deformable materials are also possible.
In order to prevent the post attached to the base from wobbling unnecessarily easily, or to give it the desired stability or resilience characteristics, it is sometimes necessary to adjust or readjust the tensioning force of the deformable body. In the case of the known base, this could only be done by pressing the hollow body, which was partially open on its base plate, into a pot, on the base of which inserts of different thicknesses could be provided, through which the clamping plate was lifted and the deformable body was pressed together.
According to another unpublished proposal, it is also possible to avoid this costly construction by making the ceiling plate of the hollow body unscrewable and now placing inserts under or over the deformable body, which when the ceiling plate is screwed onto the side walls again, the required for tensioning Put pressure on the deformable body.
But this embodiment is also complicated and expensive to manufacture. Both of these forms have the disadvantage that the choice of insert for readjustments can only be made on a trial basis, that is, time-consuming, often multiple replacements are necessary until the correct tension is achieved. Another disadvantage is that when the hollow body is removed from the pot or each time the cover plate is removed, the existing basic pre-tension must be canceled and restored when screwing back on, which necessitates very long screws or special presses that are difficult to handle on the mounting plate. In addition, these screw connections are exposed to the weather and can often no longer function properly after a short time.
The invention is based on the object of creating a base of the type mentioned at the outset which, despite the possibility of simple regulation of the tension of the deformable body during and after manufacture, is simple and inexpensive. It also has the task of creating a method for producing such a base.
A base according to the invention of the type mentioned at the outset is characterized in that a central clamping screw screwed into it and screwable through it is provided in the clamping plate, which can be supported on the base plate, with a central opening each leading through in the deformable body and in the top plate a tool for operating the clamping screw is provided.
Preferably the post is secured by releasable means, e.g. B.
Screws, especially those with a predetermined breaking point, are attached to the top plate in a manner known per se.
In a further preferred embodiment, an annular washer can be attached to the lower end of the hollow post in such a way that it has an external flange for passing the fastening screws through for the purpose of fastening to the top plate. This washer also preferably engages in the interior of the hollow post tube.
There is thus the possibility of using the said tool through the opening of the not only with the post removed
To get to the top plate and the opening in the deformable body to the clamping screw, but also to advance with a correspondingly long tool through the hollow post directly down to the screw.
Furthermore, the embodiment with the ring disc also reaching into the interior of the hollow post offers the possibility of inserting an anchoring body through the ring disc into the hollow post and through the hole in the top plate into the base, where these anchoring bodies can be self-locking toggle-like against being pulled out, and the two anchoring bodies by a flexible connection, e.g. B. steel cable or chain, can be connected so that a post that is unscrewed or loosened by breaking the predetermined breaking points of the post fastening screws cannot be thrown or carried away.
The method according to the invention for producing a base according to the invention is characterized in that the upper plate, the deformable body, the clamping plate provided with a clamping screw and the base plate are inserted into a hollow body having side walls and top plate and the base plate is pressed against the deformable body and then against the hollow body side walls fixed. A hollow body produced in this way now offers the possibility of lifting the tensioning plate from the base plate by screwing the tensioning screw through the tensioning plate and exposing the deformable body to further tension. This can serve both the purpose of setting the bases in stock to the desired voltage values before delivery, i.e. also the purpose of setting the base, i. H. to make readjustments where they are needed.
The invention will be described in more detail below with reference to the drawing, for example.
The single figure shows a vertical section through a largely schematic representation of a base with a broken post attached to it.
The rigid hollow body consists of a cylindrical tube forming the side walls 1 to which the top plate 2 with the opening 21 arranged therein is welded at the top, the bottom plate 3 being welded to the walls, i.e. H. the pipe 1 is connected. Inside the hollow body 1, 2, 3, the top plate 4 rests on the inside of the top plate 2, underneath a deformable body 5 (e.g. made of a rubber-like material) and the clamping plate 6 between it and the bottom plate 3. In the present case, the deformable body 5 is designed as a thick-walled hollow cylinder with an opening 51, the opening 51 also being a different z. B. could have a conical shape and the body 5 also laterally z. B. could be tapered spindle-shaped, for example, to have different suspension characteristics.
The post 7, which is welded to the washer 71, is fastened to the plate 4 by the washer 71 by means of screws 72 (with predetermined breaking points not designated). The annular disk 71 has a rim 71 reaching into the interior of the tube 7, and it has a hole 71 ″.
With the drawn mounted position of the post 7, a tool can now pass through posts 7, holes 71 "and 41 and opening 51 to the clamping screw 61, which is screwed into a thread going through the plate 6, and one can screw through it accordingly of the clamping screw 61 by means of the clamping plate 6 increase the distance between the clamping plate 6 and the base plate 3, which has already been drawn as a thin gap 63. As a result, the body 5 is pressed together more so that it also presses the top plate 4 more strongly against the ceiling plate 2, which causes a higher preload. So that the clamping plate 6 is not twisted when the screw 61 is screwed, it has extensions 62 which engage in the body 5. The extensions 42 on the top plate 4 can also serve the same purpose.
The base is produced by welding a pipe section for the walls 1 with an annular plate as a cover plate 2, inserting the top plate 4, pushing the body 5 in, partially screwing the screw 61 into the clamping plate 6 and then screwing it onto the body 5 in the manner shown and now introduces the base plate 3 and pretensions the body 5 with the desired pressure by pressing the base plate 3 in the direction of the cover plate 2 and welds the base plate 3 thereon. The tension can be readjusted in the manner described by turning the screw 61.
You can either attach the post 7 to the base in the manner already drawn or, beforehand, insert the toggle K1, shown in dash-dotted lines, which is connected to the wire rope S, through the hole 41 into the opening 51, so that it automatically moves across and can no longer be easily pulled out is. The second toggle K2 (also dashed and dotted) attached to the other end of the rope S is introduced analogously through hole 71 ″ in the post 7. Now the post 7 is attached to the top plate 4 with screws 72.
If the post 7 is now hit so hard that the screws 72 break at the predetermined breaking points, the post 7 will tip over. The anchoring with toggles K1, K2 and rope S prevents the post from flying away and thus reduces the risk of further accident damage. But it also serves to prevent the stolen post 7, which has not been damaged. You can now reassemble the post 7 with new screws 72.
