Folding bollard, in particular to prevent access to a parking space
The present invention relates to a folding bollard which exhibits considerable stability in the raised position.
The bollard according to the invention is a folding bollard comprising a base fixed in the ground by means of sealing lugs, characterized in that it comprises two members in the form of a frame arranged so as to be able to be arranged in the raised position at a angle of approximately 9Oo with respect to each other, one of these members being movable in rotation and having arms fixed rigidly on a tubular member rotating around journals fixed to a spacer and to an upper horizontal branch of the second member respectively, and that the two members are arranged so as to be able to be brought into the folded position in which they are aligned and folded down on the ground by rotation around a lower horizontal part of the second member housed in the hollow base.
said members being able to be locked together in the raised position by a locking device.
The bollard can be folded down or folded up on ground having any inclination with respect to the vertical.
Bulle can, in particular, be used as a temporary signaling bollard or as a bollard intended to prevent a vehicle from accessing a specific place such as a private or public parking space.
Other advantages will emerge from the following text and the drawings relating thereto relating to an example of an embodiment.
Figs. 1 and show by way of example an embodiment of the terminal according to the invention.
Figs. 2, 3 and 4 relate to the operation of this terminal.
In fig. 1 and 1a, a base 3 is mounted fixed relative to the base B which, in the example shown in FIG. 1, consists of a slab or a tarmac track, etc., the fixing of the base 3 being effected by means of sealing tabs 4 and 4 '. This base 3 shows a longitudinal bore along the axis xx, in which can turn a shaft 2 "', part of a member 2 in the form of a frame. A spring R1 or any other suitable elastic means may be provided to hold the shaft. member 2 permanently in a predetermined position, for example by applying it against the base B. However, this spring is not essential, the member 2 being able to be folded onto the base by a command coming from the outside, by example a direct or indirect manual control.
At each end of the shaft 2 "'of the member 2 is fixed a branch 2', these two branches being rigidly connected to each other by an element 2" of any shape: for example semi-circular, annular or else right as shown in fig. 1. At their lower parts, the branches 2 'of the element 2 are rigidly connected to one another by a cross member 10 in the center of which is fixed a journal 6 along an axis y-y. Another journal 7 is fixed along y.y on part 2 "of the member 2 and in such a way that a tubular member 5 can rotate freely around the y-y axis.
A spring R. or any other elastic means can be provided to maintain the tube 5 (and therefore a second member 1) in a predetermined position. However, this elastic means R2. is not essential, the terminal can also operate without such elastic means being provided.
The tubular member 5 carries arms 8, 8 'and 9, 9' fixed rigidly to said member 5 on the one hand and to the vertical branches 1 'of a second frame-shaped member 1 on the other hand. These arms are fixed so as to allow rotation of the tubular member 5 (and therefore of the member 1) in the direction of arrow f only from the position shown in FIGS. 1 and 3.
A device 11 is provided which makes it possible to maintain the member 1 after rotation in a predetermined position relative to the member 2. This device may, for example, comprise a bolt 11 ′ for locking between the tubular member 5 (therefore the 'member 1) and the journal 7 (therefore the member 2). This device 11, the various embodiments of which are known, is shown schematically only; it can also include a cylinder lock for example. According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, the device 11 can be locked or opened by means of the ignition key and / or the key of the door of the motor vehicle, the terminal of which must protect the parking place or parking lot.
The materials used for the various components and parts of the bollard can be the most diverse: all metals, synthetic materials, etc., or their combinations.
In fig. 1, the members 1 and 2 are solid sections. I1 is obvious that they can be made of hollow profiles, tubular for example.
In particular, the horizontal parts 1 "and / or 2" can be produced so as to include light and / or sound signaling means with an autonomous source (by built-in battery for example) or connected to an external source of electrical energy by means of conduits passing inside the organs and elements 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 to the organs 1 and 2, for example.
The operation of the terminal described is as follows (fig. 2 to 4):
In the rest position (fig. 2), components 1 and 2 are in the same plane and folded towards the base B.
According to one of the possible embodiments, the members 1 and 2 are held in this position by the action of the elastic means R1.
To deploy the bollard, one acts against the elastic means Rt (if the latter is mounted) and all of the members 1 and 2 are raised in the direction of arrow f 'to a first position deployment which is vertical with respect to the base B (see fig. la).
Moreover, the action of the elastic means Ra (if fitted) can be done so as to keep the bollard deployed in this first position (fig. 3). In this case, the components 1 and 2 will be locked in the folded position (fig. 2) by appropriate means on the base B.
Fig. 3 shows, seen from above, schematically, the first position of deployment of the terminal (see also FIG. 1). The member 1 can be held in this position by the elastic means R2, if such means are used. It is also provided that the elastic means R i (if fitted) can act in the opposite direction and tend to rotate the member 1 in the direction of arrow f. To ensure that the members 1 and 2 are located substantially in the same plane for this intermediate position, the arms 8, 8 'and 9, 9' are arranged so as to abut against the member 1.
In fig. 4, the terminal is shown, schematically, seen from above, fully extended.
To reach this position, the member 1 has rotated in the direction of arrow f under the action (or against) of the elastic means RB, if the latter is mounted, until the locking 11 stops this rotation and blocks the member 2 at an angle of approximately 900 relative to the member 1.
The various components of the terminal, and in particular components 1 and 2, can be partially or totally painted with paints having luminous effects (phosphorescent, reflective, etc.).
It is also possible to accommodate the terminal in a recess of the base B so that in the folded position it merges substantially with the base B.
