Cendrier
I1 est désagréable et parfois dangereux de déposer une cigarette non éteinte dans un cendrier, et dans les cendriers ordinaires il est nécessaire d'écraser la cigarette dans le cendrier pour L'éteinre et s'il s'agit d'un cendrier profond retenant bien les cendres, cette opération est malaisée. Pour cette raison on a conçu des cendriers présentant un double fond qu'il est possible d'abaisser en entraînant le fond supérieur en rotation en exerçant une pression sur un axe muni d'une hélice. Cette construction est toutefois relativement compliquée et nécessite une manoeuvre spéciale de l'utilisateur, l'actionnement de l'axe vertical. En outre, un tel cendrier se prête mal à un nettoyage rapide.
La présente invention a précisément pour objet un cendrier remédiant aux inconvénients susmentionnés. Ce cendrier est caractérisé par le fait qu'il comporte un boîtier ouvert dans lequel est disposée une grille alvéolaire amovible s'étendant sur au moins une partie de la hauteur du boîtier, la section des alvéoles permettant l'introduction d'une cigarette.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple. une forme d'exécution de l'invention.
Le cendrier représenté dans l'unique figure du dessin comprend un boîtier rectangulaire 1 dans lequel est engagée amoviblement une grille alvéolaire 2 en bristol composée de bandes orthogonales fendues à mi-largeur et emboitées les unes dans les autres. La grandeur d'une alvéole 3 est telle que l'on peut y introduire sans difficulté, mais avec un jeu minime, une cigarette. La cigarette allumée, introduite verticalement dans l'alvéole, s'éteint très rapidement par étouffement.
Lorsque la grille est sale, on l'enlève, la jette et la remplace par une nouvelle grille. Sous forme pliée ces grilles prennent peu de place.
On peut également poser la cigarette non éteinte horizontalement sur la grille. Des alvéoles présentent un côté flexible formé par les languettes découpées dans un des jeux de bandes de bristol découpées à mi-largeur.
Cette flexion peut être utilisée pour mieux retenir la cigarette. I1 est en outre possible de réserver une partie des alvéoles pour y déposer d'autres déchets, par exemple des déchets de papier ou autres.

The ashtray shown in the single figure of the drawing comprises a rectangular case 1 in which is removably engaged a honeycomb grid 2 made of bristol board composed of orthogonal bands split at mid-width and fitted into one another.
