H. G. Lott in AEG Mitteilungen 1961, S. 45...).
Fig. 1 das Blockschema der elektrischen Anordnung;
Fig. 2 einen Signalflussplan für zwei Koordinaten.
1. Signal E12 = Signale für die Steuerung der Abfrage der jeweils auszuwertenden Koordinaten;
Circuit arrangement for the evaluation of the measurement signals of digital path or
Winkelmessvorricbtungen
The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for evaluating the measurement signals of digital path or
Angle measuring devices, the binary-coded, multiple code tracks of which can be scanned photoelectrically by means of photodiodes in the V-scan type and whose measurement signals formed in this way can be fed to a subsequent logic circuit via amplifiers and subsequent Schmitt triggers as square-wave pulses for decoding and generating binary powers.
It is known that so-called double or V-scanning is used to read binary-coded rulers with several tracks in order to avoid uncertainties in the reading.
In V-scanning, a light-sensitive scanner is used to read the first track, which has the finest graduation, and two scanners are provided for reading each additional track, which are offset ahead or behind with respect to the reading line. The imaginary connecting line of the scanners results in a <V>.
When reading a track, the leading or the trailing scanner is used, depending on whether the reading result of the track preceding this track was an O signal or an L signal. The respective scanner to be used for reading the next following track is determined by the signal (O, L) of a track. The correct reading results from the signals from the scanner, even at those points where a change from 0 to L or vice versa takes place simultaneously on several tracks when advancing to the next graduation unit (see e.g.
<Position measurement for position control with digital setpoint v. H. G. Lott in AEG Mitteilungen 1961, p. 45 ...).
A non-contact distance or angle measuring device is known which provides the measuring signals in binary-coded form, and e.g. can be used on machine tools for the absolute measurement of the position of the workpiece in relation to the tool. Such a known device is composed of a binary-coded rule, a probe and an electrical circuit downstream of the probe for processing the signals emitted by this.
The probe is the part of the measuring device through which character combinations are scanned by the binary-coded line rule using photodiodes, the signals of which are converted into a form suitable for further processing in the subsequent circuit, so that an absolute distance measurement can be carried out. The analog signal emanating from each photodiode of the probe is first raised in an amplifier to a level required for further processing and then digitized in a Schmitt trigger. According to this, a circuit is required in which these individual signals supplied by a probe head are further processed so that a binary-coded absolute displacement measurement value is produced.
In a known manner, binary-coded line ruler, probe and a circuit in which an amplifier and a Schmitt trigger are assigned to each photodiode of the probe are regarded as a self-contained unit. It follows from this that if two or more coordinates are not measured in parallel, a corresponding multiplication of the equipment-related expenditure is to be recorded not only with regard to the scale and probe, but also the circuit mentioned.
Furthermore, a closed design of the measuring device is not always advantageous and, on the contrary, the spatial installation of the measuring device z. B. when measuring several coordinates often difficulties. It is therefore obvious to separate the probes from the circuit for evaluating the measurement signals, and to make the latter more universal and at the same time simpler.
The purpose of the invention is to modify the overall structure of the measuring device in order to reduce the circuit element and manufacturing costs for the necessary electronic signal processing and at the same time save high-quality components.
The invention is based on the object of designing the spatial arrangement of the required components and circuit elements in such a way that they are related to one another, next to one another or partly at a distance from one another, so that for a number of m = 1.2 ...
Traces of each of a number n = 1,2 ... scales a decoding, linking and switching to each of the n scales necessary for the digital measurement value indication, i.e. H. is enabled on each of the coordinates assigned to these scales.
According to the invention, the object is achieved in that, according to a certain number of 1 to n scales to be queried, digital displacement or angle measuring devices 1 to n probe heads with 1 to m photodiodes each are provided for scanning the respective m code tracks of the individual scales and each of the first , second ...
m-th track of all scales assigned photodiodes are connected via shielded lines or directly to amplifiers arranged immediately next to them, which are followed by a logic circuit of AND gates, which are used both to combine the measurement signals formed in the V-scan type and to assign one of the coding the binary signal corresponding to the respective code track as well as for switching to one of the probes are provided, that an OR element for disjunctive linking of the output signals of the AND elements is then connected downstream and a Schmitt trigger is connected to the OR element for pulse shaping of its output signal, which is followed by an inverter for reversing the logical output signal of the Schmitt trigger.
In a special embodiment, the circuit parts required for evaluating a code track of several coordinates, such as amplifier, logic circuit, signal shaping and negation, can each be arranged on a plug-in printed circuit board.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the circuit arrangement according to the invention, specifically showing:
1 shows the block diagram of the electrical arrangement;
2 shows a signal flow diagram for two coordinates.
In Fig. 1, the block diagram for the evaluation of the measurement signals from n probe heads 1, i. H. thus shown for n> coordinates. The measurement signals formed by the photodiodes 1.m to n.m of the probe heads 1 are fed to the amplifiers 3 via shielded lines 2 for analog amplification. The amplifiers of the photodiodes of all n probes (all n coordinates) assigned to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd ... m-th track are each combined into a group. The first group accordingly comprises the photodiodes assigned to the first tracks of the n coordinates, the second group the photodiodes assigned to the second tracks of the n coordinates, etc.
Each group of amplifiers is connected to a logic circuit 4 in which the amplified signals are linked together with signals En and A 1 or Am l in such a way that the signals En enable switching to the coordinate to be evaluated in each case and the signals Am -1 and Am, which represent the output signals of the circuit part for the evaluation of the signals of the preceding amplifier group, the decryption takes place according to the selection rule applied in the V-scan. The output signals present in each case are subsequently converted to digital signals in a Schmitt trigger 5 and the respective logic signal is reversed in an inverter 6 connected downstream of this.
FIGS. 2a, b show the signal flow diagram of a measuring process for two coordinates (i.e. for two scanning heads), the measured value of each coordinate being represented by a 10-digit binary number. The metrological evaluation of the signals of one coordinate always follows. Each probe head 1 (see Fig. 1) of the digital distance or angle measuring device contains a 10-lane, binary-coded glass pane, corresponding to the V-scan one or
two photoelectric converters assigned to the binary-coded tracks of the disk, which are photodiodes 1.1 to 1.10 or 2.1 to 2.10 connected as a photoresistor (see FIGS. 2a, b) and an optical device (not shown) including a light source.
Each of the photodiodes 1.1 to 1.10 or 2.1 to 2.10 is connected via a shielded line 2 to an amplifier 3, in which the analog amplification of the signals takes place. In the downstream logic circuit 4, the amplified analog signals are linked conjunctively by AND elements 4.1 with the following signals:
1. Signal E12 = signals for controlling the query of the coordinates to be evaluated in each case;
2. Signals Am and Am (m = 1 to 10) = signals for controlling the query of the V-scan according to either leading or lagging photodiodes 1.2 to 1.10 or 2.2 to 2.10 of a code track of the respective coordinate.
Since these signals have a purely digital character, a clear formation of the conjunction in the AND gates 4.1 is possible, although the signals coming from the amplifiers 3 are still analog.
Due to the conjunctive link only bucket of AND elements 4.1 has an L signal at the output.
The output signals of the AND elements 4.1 are then linked disjunctively in OR elements 4.2. The output signal of the OR element 4.2 is subsequently converted into a digital signal by the Schmitt trigger 5. This signal is negated in negator 6. This is necessary because, as shown in Fig.
2a, b it can be seen that both signals are required for controlling the query of the leading or trailing photodiodes 1.1 in the encoder system.
The signals Am; Am are the output signals of the measuring device, which represent the absolute measured value in binary-coded form, which, corresponding to the code disks containing 10 code tracks, also contains 10 binary powers. From Fig. 2a, b it can be seen that the signals formed by the photodio scanning the 10 code tracks 1.1 to 1.10 and 2.1 to 2.10, for example, two coordinates in the 10 switching stages are processed in parallel with the output signals Ar and Aio.
The circuit used for evaluating the signals with respect to the binary power of equivalent code tracks of the two coordinates is arranged on the plug-in circuit board 7. The evaluation of all code tracks is carried out by connecting a number of circuit boards corresponding to the number of code tracks, as can be seen from FIGS. 2a, b.
