Method for uninterrupted switching of a consumer from a power supply unit to a replacement unit The main patent relates to a method for uninterrupted switching of a consumer from a power supply unit to a replacement unit when faults occur in the power supply unit, for supply circuits in which between the power supply unit and the replacement unit and the consumer switching means are arranged, which consists in that the power supply unit is connected downstream of an energy store made of circuit elements, which maintains the consumer voltage for a certain time in the event of a fault in the unit,
and that the power supply unit is constantly kept in sync with the replacement unit in the case of alternating current supply by a synchronization device and, if a fault occurs, the switching of the monitoring units of the power supply unit is triggered and carried out in such a way that a first electronic switch, which is in the circuit of the replacement unit, is carried out Responding to one of the monitoring organs of the power supply unit switched on and a second electronic switch, which is in the supply circuit of the Stromversorgungsaggre gate, is opened with a delay within the duration of the memory.
As can be seen, with this switching process, either a standby network or a replacement unit for emergency power supply is provided. As a standby network z. B. a public network. As a substitute unit, however, a converter is used, which is constantly in operation even with normal supply of the consumer from the Stromversor supply unit, i. H. just like a standby network should be ready to supply. A replacement unit is generally preferred to a public network, which is known to be often subject to external interference.
The present invention therefore assumes that the alternative, standby network or Ersatzaggre gat, is not operationally satisfactory, and provides for the method described above to be improved by a combined use of a standby network and a spare unit, thereby ensuring the continuity of the power supply to a consumer can be secured even more.
The invention consists in that, in the event of a fault in the power supply unit, the consumer is switched automatically and without interruption to a standby network and then without interruption to the replacement unit with the help of an electronic switching device.
In detail, the method can be further developed, for example, by first switching the consumer to the standby network with the help of an electronic switch and a contactor, which are connected in series with the supply unit, as well as with the help of a standby network first electronic switch via a contactor that is closed when the power supply unit is synchronized with the standby network, it follows.
The switching of the consumer from the standby network to the replacement unit is then done by hand using an electronic switch and a contactor, which are connected in series with the replacement unit, and with the help of a second electronic switch's between the standby network and the electronic switch of the Replacement unit is arranged, via a further contactor, which is closed when the replacement unit is running synchronously with the standby network, and also with the help of a contactor arranged between the consumer outputs of the units.
When the consumer switches from the standby network to the replacement unit, the contactor between the consumer outputs is closed together with the contactor of the replacement unit. Then the second electronic switch of the standby network is closed and the first electronic switch of the standby network is opened. The replacement unit is then put into operation and its electronic switch is closed, and finally the second electronic switch of the standby network is opened again.
A variant of the method according to the invention is characterized in that the replacement unit is automatically put into operation in the event of a malfunction or failure of the power supply unit and the consumer is switched on with the aid of an electronic switch that is common to the power supply unit and: the replacement unit the standby network side arranged electronic switch is switched over automatically and without interruption to the standby network and then to the replacement unit via a contactor that is closed when the power supply unit and the standby network are synchronized.
If the standby network is disturbed or if it fails, it is in any case disconnected from the output of the power supply and the replacement unit with the help of a main contactor, which is connected upstream of the electronic switch (s) of the standby network automatically put into operation and brought into synchronization with the power supply unit.
The automatically started replacement unit is then switched through with the contactor open via the electronic switch to the contactor for the purpose of synchronism control. As soon as the normal power supply from the power supply unit is disrupted or fails when the standby network fails, the consumer is automatically and without interruption switched to the replacement unit with the help of the electronic switch (s) downstream of the supply units, and when the Units have separate consumer outputs, then these outputs are bridged by the contactor in between.
Instead of just one replacement unit, it is also possible to work with two or three replacement units. In the event of a fault or failure of the standby network, only a replacement unit then needs to be put into operation.
With the method according to the invention, different advantages are achieved compared to the original method: With normal power supply to the consumer from the power supply unit, the replacement unit or units are at rest, so that unnecessary idling losses in these units are avoided. After a malfunction or failure of the normal power supply, the consumer is only temporarily connected to the standby network. If the replacement unit (s) in replacement operation is faulty or has failed, it is possible to switch back to the standby network without interruption.
If, on the other hand, the standby network is disturbed during normal operation or if it fails, an automatic, uninterrupted switchover to the replacement unit is ensured in the event of a disturbance in normal operation. The function of the units can be changed by a simple switching operation without interrupting the supply operation. Finally, with a smaller amount of electronic switches, each switchover takes place automatically if the power supply unit and the replacement unit work on only one consumer output via a common electronic switch.
Embodiments of the invention are explained with reference to the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows the block diagram of a Schalteinrich device for performing the method with a power supply unit and a replacement unit, which work on separate consumer outputs.
Fig. 2 shows the block diagram of a correspond to the switching device in which the two units work on a common consumer output.
In both figures, the same elements and functions are numbered with the same reference symbols.
In the case of normal power supply, a Stromversor supply unit 1, for example a static inverter, which is followed by an energy store 4, feeds a consumer 3 via a closed contactor 8 and an electronic switch 9 that is also closed. As a replacement unit 1 'for the regular emergency power supply, a second static inverter is provided, the corresponding elements 4', 8 'and 9' are connected downstream (Fig. 1). This Ersatzaggre gat 1 'is at rest with normal power supply, and there are the contactor 8' and the electronic switch 9 'open.
The consumer outputs of the units 1 and 1 'can be interconnected by means of a contactor 15. An alternating current network N, which has two consumer outputs, each of which is preceded by a switching contactor 11, 11 'and an electronic switch 7, 7', is used as the standby network. The consumer outputs ge connected upstream is also a main contactor 13, which is only opened when the N standby network fails or malfunctions.
The contactors 11 and 11 'are closed per se and are opened by a monitoring element 10 or 10' if correspondingly assigned synchronization devices 5, 5 ', which keep the inverter 1 and 1' in sync with the standby network N, are disturbed are. The inverters 1 and 1 'each have a monitoring device 6 or 6', to which a common control device 14 is assigned. The control unit 14 controls the switching of the electronic switches 9, 9 ', 7, 7' and the contactors 8, 8 ', 15 and 13.
In the switching device according to FIG. 2, the power supply units 1 and 1 'are jointly followed by an electronic switch 9, and only one electronic switch 7 and one contactor 11 are located in the supply line on the mains side for the purpose of synchronization control by means of additional Licher contactors 17 and 16 with the output of the power supply unit 1 or the replacement unit tes 1 'are connected directly.
If the unit 1 fails in a power supply system with switching device according to FIG. 1, this process, like any fault in general, is detected by the monitoring element 6 as it occurs in a known manner, and the control unit 14 automatically switches over without interruption of the consumer to the standby network ge controls as follows: First the contactor 8 'and the contactor 15 are closed. The two consumer outputs are thus connected together. Then the electronic switch 7 'is closed and the electronic switch 9 is opened.
The consumer 3 is now switched to the standby network N. The replacement unit 1 'can then be put into operation by hand. This process is also recorded by the monitoring element 6 '. The control device 14 then first brings the synchronization device 5 'into operation, then closes the electronic switch 9' and opens the electronic switch 7 'again. This also ends the switchover of the consumer from the standby network to the replacement unit.
If the inverter unit 1 is operational again, then the consumer can be switched back from the inverter 1 'via the standby network N to the Stromversor supply inverter 1, which is not switched via the electronic switch T, but via the electronic switch 7 to the standby network . The inverter 1 'is put out of operation manually. This return switch can also be carried out automatically and without interruption, bypassing the standby network N; z. B. when the standby network has failed.
Here, too, the sequence of the individual switching steps is reversed with regard to the direct, uninterrupted switching of the consumer from the inverter 1 to the replacement inverter 1 'when the standby network has failed and the inverter 1 also fails. The relevant switching process is described below.
As soon as the standby network fails with normal power supply of the consumer from the inverter 1, the main contactor 13 is opened and the replacement inverter 1 'is automatically put into operation by means of the control device 14 and the contactor 8' is closed. With the help of the synchronization devices 5 and 5 ', the inverter 1 is then brought into synchronization with the inverter 1'. If the inverter 1 fails, the control unit 14 controls the electronic switch 9 'to the closed state. Finally, the contactor 15 is also closed and therewith the network-side electronic switches 7 and 7 'are bridged, and finally the electronic switch 9 and the contactor 8 are opened.
If the inverter 1 fails in a power supply system with switching device according to FIG. 2, the monitoring element 6 triggers a switching process which is controlled by the control device 14 in such a way that the electronic switch 7 is closed first and then the electronic switch 9 and the contactor 8 can be opened. The consumer 3 is thus switched to the standby network N. The inverter 1 'is now automatically put into operation and the contactor 8' is closed at the same time. Then the inverter 1 'with the help of the synchronization device 5' is brought into synchronization with the standby network and finally the electronic switch 7 is opened again and the electronic switch 9 is closed again. The switchover is now complete.
The switching back of the consumer from the inverter 1 'via the standby network to the inverter 1 is also released by the monitoring device 6 as soon as the inverter 1 is ready for operation again. While the inverter 1 is brought into synchronization with the standby network N with the aid of the synchronizing device 5, the control unit 14 first puts the inverter 1 'out of operation. Then the electronic switch 7 is closed and the electronic switch 9 and the contactor 8 'opened. After the consumer 3 has now been switched to the standby network, the contactor 8 is closed, the electronic switch 9 is closed again and, finally, the electronic switch 7 is opened again.
This switching back is of course not necessary if the operating and substitute operating functions of the inverters 1 and 1 'are interchanged, which can be specified with the aid of an operating mode selector in the control unit 14.
With the help of the additional contactors 16 and 17, an emergency switchover can be controlled in such a way that, if the standby network fails, when the contactor 13 is opened, the inverter 1 'is immediately put into operation and the contactor 16 is closed. The inverter 1 'thus takes on the function of the failed standby network and is brought into synchronization with the inverter 1 via the lines 11 and 11' with the aid of the synchronization device 5. If the inverter 1 then also fails, the electronic switch 7 is closed first, the electronic switch 9 and the contactor 8 are opened. Then who the contactor 8 'closed, the electronic switch 9 closed again and finally the electronic switch 7 opened again.
