In der Formel bedeuten R und Ri Wasserstoff oder eine gegebenenfalls substituierte Alkylgruppe, Cycloalkylgruppe, Aralkylgruppe oder Arylgruppe und X die Gruppen )C=O, )C=NH oder > C=S, wobei der Perylenrest weitersubstituiert sein kann.
Die Reste R und Ri können dabei gleiche oder verschiedene Bedeutung besitzen.
Als Substituenten im Perylenrest kommen dabei beispielsweise Halogenatome, wie Chlor oder Brom, Alkoxygruppen, insbesondere solche mit 1-4 Kohlenstoffatomen, wie Methoxygruppen, Äthoxygruppen oder Butoxygruppen sowie Nitrogruppen oder Hydroxygruppen in Frage.
Als Alkylgruppen seien insbesondere solche mit 1-12 Kohlenstoffatomen genannt, die gegebenenfalls weitere Substituenten wie Alkoxygruppen, Alkoxycarbonylgruppen, Carbonamid- oder Sulfonamidgruppen aufweisen können. Alkylgruppen der genannten Art sind beispielsweise Methyl-, Äthyl-, Propyl-, Butyl-, Methoxyäthyl-, Äthoxyäthyl-, Methoxycarbonyläthyloder Athoxycarbonyläthylgruppen.
Als Cycloalkylgruppen seien insbesondere Cyclohexyl- und Cyclopentylgruppen genannt.
Als Aralkylgruppen seien insbesondere Benzylgruppen sowie die in der CH2-Gruppe durch Alkylgruppen substituierten Benzylgruppen genannt, wobei die Phenylreste gegebenenfalls weitere Substituenten wie Halogen, beispielsweise Fluor, Chlor oder Brom, Nitrogruppen, Alkoxygruppen, insbesondere solche mit 1-4 Kohlenstoffatomen, Carbonamidgruppen oder Sulfonamidgruppen, Alkoxycarbonylgruppen, insbesondere solche mit 1-4 Kohlenstoffatomen, sowie Alkylgruppen, insbesondere solche mit 1-4 Kohlenstoffatomen, aufweisen können.
Als Arylgruppen seien insbesondere Phenylgruppen und Naphthylgruppen genannt, wobei diese Reste Substituenten wie Halogen, beispielsweise Fluor, Chlor oder Brom, Nitrogruppen, Alkylgruppen, Alkoxygruppen, insbesondere solche mit 1-4 Kohlenstoffatomen, Alkoxycarbonylgruppen, insbesondere solche mit 1-4 Kohlenstoffatomen, Carbonamidgruppen oder Sulfonamidgruppen aufweisen können.
Die Herstellung der neuen Farbstoffe der Formel (I) erfolgt erfindungsgemäss durch Umsetzung gegebenenfalls substituierter Perylen-3.4.9.10-tetracarbonsäu- ren oder deren Säurederivaten mit Verbindungen der Formel

oder deren Salzen, in welcher R, Ri und X die oben genannte Bedeutung besitzen, im Molverhältnis von etwa 1:2.
Unter Säurederivaten werden dabei insbesondere Säureanhydride, Säurechloride und Ester verstanden.
Es können dabei auch selbstverständlich solche Perylenderivate verwendet werden, die gleichzeitig Carbonsäuregruppen und funktionelle Derivate von Carbonsäuregruppen, beispielsweise Anhydridgruppen, Estergruppen oder Säurechloridgruppen, aufweisen.
Für die Herstellung der Farbstoffe der Formel (I) geeignete Perylenverbindungen sind beispielsweise Perylen-3.4.9.10-tetracarbonsäure und Perylen-3.4.9.10tetracarbonsäuredianhydrid sowie Dichlor-perylen-3.4. 9.1 0-tetracarbonsäure, Tetrachlorperylen-3.4.9.10-tetracarbonsäure, Dichlor-perylen-3 .4.9. 10-tetracarbon- säuredianhydrid, Tetrachlor-perylen-3.4.9.10-tetracar- bonsäuredianhydrid, Dimethoxy-perylen-3.4.9.10-tetra- carbonsäuredianhydrid und Dimethoxy-perylen-3.4.9.

Für die Herstellung der erfindungsgemässen Farbstoffe der Formel (I) können selbstverständlich auch Gemische von Verbindungen der Formel (II) und Gemische gegebenenfalls substituierter Perylen-3.4.9.10tetracarbonsäuren bzw. deren Säurederivaten eingesetzt werden.
Die Umsetzung erfolgt bei gewöhnlichem oder erhöhtem Druck durch Erwärmen der Ausgangsmaterialien auf Temperaturen von 100-300 C, bevorzugt 150 240D C gegebenenfalls in Gegenwart von Lösungsmitteln undloder Verdünnungsmitteln wie chlorierten Kohlenwasserstoffen, beispielsweise Chlorbenzol, Dichlorbenzol, Trichlorbenzol, Chlortoluolen, Chlornaphthali- nen oder höhersiedenden heterocyclischen Basen wie Chinolin oder Pyridin. Als vorteilhaft erweist sich dabei der Zusatz von sauren Kondensationsmitteln wie Zink- oder Cadmiumsalzen, beispielsweise Zinkchlorid oder Zinkacetat und den entsprechenden Cadmiumsalzen sowie Salzsäure, Schwefelsäure, Phosphorsäure oder Polyphosphorsäure.
Die neuen roten bis violetten Farbstoffe sind wertvolle Pigmentfarbstoffe. Sie fallen bei dem oben beschriebenen Verfahren in hoher Ausbeute und kristalliner Form an. Sie zeichnen sich durch gute Hitzebe ständigkeit, Lösungsmittelechtheit, Migrationsechtheit, Überlackierechtheit und Lichtechtheit aus und eignen sich daher, gegebenenfalls nach Überführung in eine feinverteilte Form, zum Färben von Lacken, Kunststoffen sowie zur Herstellung von Druckfarben und Pigmentpasten, beispielsweise auch zum Spinnfärben von Kunstfasern.
Die in den folgenden Beispielen angegebenen Teile sind Gewichtsteile.
Beispiel 1
10 Teile Perylen-3.4.9.10-tetracarbonsäuredianhy- drid und 6.3 Teile Semicarbazid-hydrochlorid werden in 60 Teilen Chinolin 4 Stunden bei 170 C gerührt. Nach dem Erkalten wird abgesaugt, der Filterrückstand mit Äthanol ausgekocht, heiss abgesaugt und getrocknet.
Man erhält 12 Teile eines violettstichigroten Farbstoffs.
Eine Mischung aus 65 Teilen Polyvinylchlorid, 35 Teilen Diisooctylphthalat, 2 Teilen Dibutylzinnmercaptid, 0,5 Teilen Titandioxid und 0,5 Teilen des obigen Pigments, das durch Mahlen mit Natriumchlorid in feine Verteilung gebracht wurde, wird auf einem Mischwalzwerk bei 165 C eingefärbt. Man erhält eine blaurot gefärbte Masse, die zur Herstellung von Folien oder Formkörpern dienen kann. Die Färbung zeichnet sich durch hohe Licht- und Migrationsechtheit aus.
Beispiel 2
10 Teile Perylentetracarbonsäuredianhydrid und 77 Teile Aminoguanidin-hydrogencarbonat werden in 100 Teilen Trichlorbenzol 4 Stunden bei 190"C gerührt.
Nach dem Erkalten wird abgesaugt, der Filterrückstand mit Äthanol ausgekocht, heiss abgesaugt und getrocknet. Man erhält in guter Ausbeute einen violetten Farbstoff, der, in organische Lacke eingearbeitet, sehr gute Überlackierechtheiten bei 130"C und bei 170"C und sehr gute Lichtechtheiten aufweist.
Beispiel 3
10 Teile Perylentetracarbonsäuredianhydrid und 5.1 Teile Thiosemicarbazid werden in 50 Teilen Chinolin 2 Stunden bei 1500 C gerührt. Nach dem Erkalten wird abgesaugt, der Filterrückstand mit Äthanol ausgekocht, heiss abgesaugt und getrocknet. Man erhält in guter Ausbeute einen violettstichigroten Farbstoff.
