Abstract

Tobacco smoke filter in the form of a pellet or plug of filter material for placement in a cigarette, cigar or in the smoke channel of a pipe, is treated with a di-polymethylenetriamine. The di-polymethylenetriamine pref. has the formula (I):- H2N-(CH2)x-NH-(CH2)y-NH2 (I) COX (II) (where x and y are at least equal to two). The polymer (I) may be condensed with groups of formulae (II) where X is OH, Cl, Br, etc.). The polymer is pref. applied in the form of a soln. The treated filters retain considerably more tar and nicotine than untreated filters.

  Tabakrauchfilter
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft Tabakrauchfilter, das heisst Pfropfen aus Filtermaterial, die am Mundende einer Zigarette oder Zigarre eingesetzt sind oder die sich an der Stelle des Rauchdurchtrittes in einer Tabakpfeife befinden. Die Erfindung wird am Beispiel des Zigarettenfilters näher erläutert.



   Es ist bekannt, dass Filterpfropfen verwendet werden können, um Bestandteile des Rauches abzufiltern. Manche Pfropfen wirken beim Einfangen der Bestandteile in mechanischer Weise, insbesondere auf die aus Teilchen bestehende Phase des Rauches, während andere Bestandteile selektiv durch eine chemische Wirkung entfernt werden.



   Ziel der vorliegenden Erfindung war es, einen Filterpfropfen, insbesondere für Zigaretten, zu entwickeln, der das Verhältnis von Teerbestandteilen zu Nikotin, das den Mund des Rauchers erreicht, vermindern soll.



   Di-polimethylen-triamin hat die folgende Formel    H2N-(CH2)x-NH-(CH2)oNH2    wobei in dieser Formel x und y gleich oder verschieden voneinander sind und einen Wert von 2 oder mehr aufweisen.



   Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Tabakrauchfilter, das sich dadurch auszeichnet, dass es ein Polymermaterial enthält, das in der Polymerstruktur eine Gruppierung der Formel    -Co-NH-(CH,),-H-(CH2) ,NH-    worin x und y gleich oder verschieden sind und einen Wert von mehr als 2 besitzen, aufweist.



   Das in den erfindungsgemässen Tabakrauchfiltern enthaltene Polymermaterial kann hergestellt werden, indem man ein Di-polymethylen-triamin mit einer Verbindung, die reaktive Gruppen der Formel -COX enthält, wobei X eine OH-Gruppe oder ein Chlor- oder Bromatom ist, kondensiert.



   Im erfindungsgemässen Tabakrauchfilter ist also das Di-polymethylen-triamin in das Polymermaterial eingebaut bzw. an diesem durch chemische Bindungen verankert. In der, in die Polymerstruktur eingebauten Gruppierung der Formel  -CO-NH-(CH2)   ,-NH-(CH2)      rNH    können x und y beispielsweise den Wert 6 besitzen.



   PATENTANSPRUCH



   Tabakrauchfilter, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es ein Polymermaterial enthält, das in der Polymerstruktur eine Gruppierung der Formel    -CO-NH-(CH2)X-NH-(CH2)y-NH-    worin x und y gleich oder verschieden sind und einen Wert von mehr als 2 besitzen, aufweist.

   The aim of the present invention was to develop a filter plug, in particular for cigarettes, which is intended to reduce the ratio of tar components to nicotine which reaches the smoker's mouth.



   Di-polimethylene-triamine has the following formula H2N- (CH2) x-NH- (CH2) oNH2 where in this formula x and y are the same or different from one another and have a value of 2 or more.



   The present invention relates to a tobacco smoke filter which is characterized in that it contains a polymer material which has a grouping of the formula -Co-NH- (CH,), - H- (CH2), NH- in which x and y are the same or different and have a value greater than 2.



   The polymer material contained in the tobacco smoke filters according to the invention can be produced by condensing a di-polymethylene triamine with a compound containing reactive groups of the formula -COX, where X is an OH group or a chlorine or bromine atom.



   In the tobacco smoke filter according to the invention, the dipolymethylene triamine is built into the polymer material or anchored to it by chemical bonds. In the grouping of the formula -CO-NH- (CH2), -NH- (CH2) rNH built into the polymer structure, x and y can have the value 6, for example.
