Abstract

Friction welding thin plastics. An eccentric on the end of a shaft of an electric motor vibrates a metal element. The part of the latter in contact with the workpiece is roughened for attachment. Operation of the apparatus is controlled by a timing device, e.g. a bimetallic strip which cuts the motor.

 par frottement des pièces l'une contre l'autre
 Le brevet principal a pour objet un procédé de soudure de deux pièces minces en matière plastique par frottement des pièces l'une contre l'autre, caractérisé en ce que   l'on    entraîne l'une des pièces dans un mouvement vibratoire parallèlement à l'autre pièce, les deux pièces étant appliquées l'une contre l'autre avec une pression constante pendant toute la durée du mouvement vibratoire, et un appareil pour la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé qui est caractérisé par le fait qu'il comprend un moteur électrique portant un excenrtique en bout d'arbre entraînant en vibration une pièce métallique dont la partie en contact avec la pièce à souder est munie d'aspérités d'accrochage.



   Il est également très important que la durée de l'opération soit rigoureusement temporisée, car si le temps est insuffisant aucune soudure ne peut s'effectuer, alors que si le temps est trop long on détériore le matériau   à    souder.



   La présente invention a donc pour objet un appareil selon la revendication Il du brevet principal, caractérisé par le fait qu'il comprend des moyens de temporisation de la durée du fonctionnement de l'appareil.



   Les moyens de temporisation peuvent être exécutés   de    toute manière connue, par exemple au moyen d'un interrupteur bimétallique; ils agiront de préférence directement sur le moteur en coupant l'excitation du moteur.

   It is also very important that the duration of the operation be rigorously timed, because if the time is insufficient no welding can be carried out, while if the time is too long the material to be welded is damaged.



   The present invention therefore relates to an apparatus according to claim II of the main patent, characterized in that it comprises means for timing the duration of the operation of the apparatus.



   The timing means can be executed in any known manner, for example by means of a bimetallic switch; they will preferably act directly on the motor by cutting off the excitation of the motor.

REVENDICATION CLAIM Appareil pour la soudure de deux pièces minces en matière plastique par frottement des pièces l'une contre l'autre comprenant un moteur électrique portant tm excentrique en bout d'arbre entraînant en vibration une pièce métallique dont la partie en contact avec la pièce à souder est munie d'aspérités d'accrochage, caractérisé par le fait qu'il comprend des moyens de temporisation de la durée de fonctionnement de l'appareil.
