Die Nachteile dieses üblichen Grundaufbaus sind offensichtlich; abgesehen davon, dass zur Unterbringung der Gesamtanlage drei separate (kaum für andere als Abstelizwecke weiterver wendbare) Möbelstücke erforderlich sind, die nur in wenigen, möglichen Relativlagen den optimalen Effekt ergeben und somit die Möblierungsmöglichkeiten eines Raumes sehr stark einschränken, sind relativ viele offene Kabel zu verlegen; meist müssen bezüglich Aufstellung der einzelnen, Anlageteile enthaltenden Möbelstücke un günstige Kompromisse eingegangen werden;
Furniture with a sound reproduction system The present invention relates to a furniture with a sound reproduction system. It is common practice to use sound reproduction systems, e.g. B. in addition to a control device and a loudspeaker system, a radio part, and / or a record player, and / or a tape recorder (hereinafter referred to as a sound generator) includes to be installed in chest-like pieces of furniture. With the advent of so-called stereo systems, there was generally no need to build the whole system into a single piece of furniture, i.e. H. the two necessary loudspeakers or
Loudspeaker groups each in a separate housing so that they can be set up separately in the room to achieve the desired stereo effect. These known systems had the following basic structure: control device and sound generator are installed in a piece of furniture that is within operating range of the listener's seat; the two loudspeakers are each installed in a separate housing and these housings are arranged at a mutual distance and at a distance from the listener position so that the direct radiation from these housings at the listener position results in the desired stereo effect.
The disadvantages of this usual basic structure are obvious; Apart from the fact that three separate pieces of furniture (which can hardly be used for anything other than storage purposes) are required to accommodate the entire system, which only produce the optimal effect in a few possible relative positions and thus severely limit the furnishing options of a room, there are relatively many open cables embarrassed; usually un favorable compromises have to be made with regard to the installation of the individual pieces of furniture containing system parts;
In particular, the listener's position is often chosen at a relatively large distance from the furniture containing the operating part of the system in order to be able to bring it into the area of a table, d. H. the system itself does not force the listener to a specific location with regard to the individual pieces of furniture containing the system. In contrast, the present invention aims to create a piece of furniture with a sound reproduction system in which the aforementioned disadvantages are avoided.
For this purpose, the furniture according to the invention is characterized in that it is designed as furniture that can be set up freely in the room, with all devices belonging to a stereo system being arranged lying at least approximately horizontally and the speakers emitting the sound at an angle between 90 and 180 degrees radiate from each other in different directions.
Thanks to this training, it is not only possible to summarize the whole system in a single piece of furniture, but the listener is through this z. B. trained as a salon or club table furniture to ver heads, d. H. practically forced to occupy the place that is on the one hand the most practical Betie voltage place for the system and on the other hand at the same time the ideal listener position for recording the stereo effect. It should be noted that this is not the usual more or less direct irradiation of the listener position by means of speakers set up at a distance, but indirect irradiation with the interposition of the room walls as reflectors by means of the loudspeakers combined in the furniture.
In the accompanying drawing of the invention is shown by way of example and schematically; It shows: FIG. 1 a diagrammatic view of a club table with a stereo system built into the table top, and FIG. 2 a top view of a table analogous to FIG. 1, showing a variant of the arrangement of the various system parts.
In Fig. 1 a so-called club table is shown, the table top 2 supported on the feet 1 has a rectangular shape. The thickness of the table top is about 15 cm, but could also be only 10 cm or less, depending on the height of the built-in parts of the stereo system that are available. As is well known, certain parts of the system, including the loudspeakers, can already be manufactured today in heights of 5-6 cm.
In this table top 2 a drawer 3 is inserted on one longitudinal side, which contains a toner generator (radio part and / or turntable and / or tape recorder) with zugerodnetem control part of a stereo sound reproduction system. The drawer 3 extends at most to the longitudinal center axis of the table top 2. The half of the table top 2, which is designed as a hollow box, opposite the drawer 3 is divided in half by a sound-insulating transverse wall 2a.
From this transverse wall 2a, two sound guide ducts 4 extend towards the two narrow sides of the table top 2; these shafts 4 have sound outlet openings 4a in the region of the narrow sides of the table top 2, while a loudspeaker 5 of the stereo system is arranged on each of the end surfaces of the shafts formed by the transverse wall 2a. It has been shown that, for acoustic reasons, the minimum length of the shafts 4 should be approximately 40 cm, their minimum width approximately 15 cm and their minimum height approximately 5 cm. However, as can be seen, these dimensions can easily be adhered to with the usual sizes of club tables.
Thanks to this arrangement of the system parts in the table top was in the usual setup of the table in the Ab and parallel to the walls of the room from the two speakers 5 in opposite directions emitted sound reflected back from the corresponding room walls in the area of the table, so that a listener in the Area of the table perceives the stereo effect. Different distances between the two narrow sides of the table and the walls of the room or different reflectivities of these walls can be compensated for by setting the speaker balance accordingly.
Since the table as such practically determines the position of the seats and thus the listener, the listeners grouped around the long sides of the table are inevitably in the area of the stereo effect area.
Of course, a stereo system with speakers arranged in pairs can also be built into a table. Such an embodiment is shown schematically in FIG. The rectangular table top 12 formed as a hollow box is divided into three box sections 12b, 12c. In the middle section 12c, accessible from a longitudinal side, the control device 13a and the sound generator (s) 13b (expediently in drawers) are arranged.
The end sections 12b separated from the middle section 12e by sound-insulating walls 12a are each a pair of mutually parallel sound guide shafts 14, on the bottom formed by the walls 12a a horizontally outwardly radiating loudspeaker 15 is arranged. This arrangement of the speakers 5 radiating against the corresponding, acting as reflectors room walls cause the desired stereo effect analogous to the first example described in the area of the table and thus in the area of the seats grouped around the table.
In order to create a possibility of adapting the system to the acoustic conditions of the room or the walls used as reflectors, in addition to the balance setting, the sound ducts with their speakers are appropriately adjustable so that their longitudinal axis is slightly downwards and / or downwards the side obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the table sheet 12 can be adjusted.
It goes without saying that the stereo system can also be built into a table with a square or a round table top, in particular also in a table with a column base. The main advantages of the embodiments described are in any case that all parts of the stereo system are placed in a single piece of furniture, which on the one hand retains its usual table function and on the other hand practically inevitably determines the listener's position suitable for stereo listening, without this User is perceived as a compulsion that contradicts his normal living habits.
