Pesticides The present invention relates to a pesticide which contains new phosphorus, phosphonic or thionophosphoric (phosphonic) acid esters of 2-oxyquinoxaline as the active component.
Open-chain and cyclic quinoxalino-2,3-thiophosphoric acid esters are already known from German Patent No. 1 1 15 738. These products are obtained by reacting the corresponding 2,3-dimercaptoquinoxalines with alkyl- or arylphosphoric or -thionophosphoric acid monoester, di- or diester monohalogenides.
According to the information in the cited patent, the last-mentioned compounds are distinguished by good insecticidal and acaricidal activity; they are particularly effective against violin-resistant spider mites. However, the production of this group of active substances, at least on an industrial scale, is relatively difficult.
The present invention active compo components can, for. B. be obtained in a smooth and with very good yields proceeding reaction if you 2-hydroxy-quinoxaline with phosphorus or thionophosphorus (phosphonic) acid ester halides of the formula
EMI0001.0015
to phosphorus or thionophosphorus (phosphonic) acid quinoxalyl (2) esters of the general constitution
EMI0001.0018
implements. In the aforementioned formulas, R and R 'represent lower alkyl radicals, e.g.
B. those with 1 to 4 carbon atoms.n, R 'can also mean a lower alkoxy or phenyl radical, while X is an oxygen or sulfur and Hal is a halogen atom. The products of the process of the formula I have strong insecticidal and acaricidal properties.
They have both an excellent effect against eating and sucking insects and an excellent effectiveness against spider mites and ticks. In this regard, the compounds that can be produced above are clearly superior to the known products of analogous constitution and the same direction of action; the former represent a real enrichment of the technology. The specified procedure runs in the sense of the following equation:
EMI0001.0026
In the above equation, the symbols R, R ', X and Hal have the meaning given above.
However, R preferably represents alkyl radicals having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, such as the methyl, ethyl, n-propyl or isopropyl radical; R 'preferably denotes a radical OR or a methyl, ethyl, n- and isopropyl group or the phenyl radical; X mainly represents a sulfur atom and Hal a chlorine atom.
The preparation is preferably carried out with the use of suitable solvents or diluents. As such, practically all inert organic solvents or mixtures thereof come into consideration, such as hydrocarbons, eg. B. gasoline, benzene, toluene, chlorobenzene, xylene, ethers, such as diethyl and dibutyl ethers, dioxane, and ketones, e.g. B. acetone, methyl ethyl, methyl isopropyl and methyl isobutyl ketone. However, low-boiling aliphatic alcohols have proven particularly useful for the purpose mentioned, such as methanol, ethanol and especially nitriles, eg. B. aceto- and propionitrile, also dimethyl formamide.
Furthermore, the reaction is preferably allowed to proceed in the presence of acid acceptors. Practically all common acid binders can be used for this. Alkali metal alcoholates and carbonates such as potassium and sodium methylate or ethylate, sodium and potassium carbonate, and also tertiary aromatic or heterocyclic amines, eg. B. triethylamine, dimethylamine or pyridine.
The reaction temperature can be varied within a relatively wide range. In general, the temperature is between 20 and 120 ° C. (or the boiling point of the mixture), preferably at 40 to 80 ° C.
The starting materials to be converted and the auxiliaries (acid binders) are generally used in stoichiometric amounts. After the starting components have been combined, it is advantageous to post-heat the mixture for a longer time (about 1 to 3 hours), if necessary with stirring, in order to complete the reaction. In this way of working, the process products are obtained with excellent yields and excellent purity.
The available new phosphorus or thionophosphorus (phosphonic) acid esters of 2-oxyquinoxaline fall z. T. as colorless crystals with a sharp melting point, which, if necessary, can easily be further purified by recrystallization from the common solvents; Usually, however, the products are obtained in the form of colorless to yellow-colored, viscous, water-insoluble oils that cannot be distilled without decomposition, which, however, are freed from the last volatile components by so-called partial distillation, i.e. prolonged heating under reduced pressure to moderately elevated temperatures Way can be cleaned. The determination of the refractive index can be used to characterize it more closely.
As already mentioned above, the process products are characterized by excellent insecticidal and acaricidal effectiveness. At the same time, they only have a low level of warm-blooded animals and phytotoxicity. It takes effect quickly and lasts for a long time. For this reason, the compounds that can be prepared according to the invention can be used successfully in crop protection for controlling harmful sucking and eating insects and dipteras and against mites (acarina) there and in the veterinary medical sector. Particularly noteworthy in this context is the excellent effectiveness of the products against phosphoric acid ester-resistant strains of spider mites.
The sucking insects mainly include aphids, such as the peach aphid (Myzus persicae), the black bean aphid (Doralis fabae); Shield lice such as Aspidiotus hederae, Lecanium hesperidum, Pseudococcus maritimus; Thysanoptera such as Hercinothrips femoralis; and bed bugs such as the beet bug (Piesma quadrata) and the bed bug (Cimex lectularius).
The biting insects essentially include caterpillars, such as Plutella maculipennis, Lymantia dispar; Beetles, such as the grain beetle (Sitophilus granarius), the Colorado potato beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata), but also species living in the ground, such as the wireworms (Agriotes sp.) And the grubs (Melolontha melolontha); Cockroaches, such as the German cockroach (Blattella germanica); Orthoptera such as the cricket (Gryllus domesticus); Termites such as Reticulitermes; Hymen opteren, like ants.
The Diptera include in particular the flies such as the fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster), the Mediterranean fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata), the house fly (Musca domestica) and mosquitoes such as the mosquito (Aedes aegypti), blowflies such as the gold fly (Lucilia sericata) and Blowflies (Chrysomya chloropyga).
Among the mites, the spider mites (Tetranychidae) are particularly important, such as the common spider mite (Tetranychus urticae) and the fruit tree spider mite (Paratranychus pilosus); Gall mites such as the currant gall mite (Eriophyes ribis) and tarsonemids such as Tarsonemus pallidus; and ticks, e.g. B. Boophilus microplus and mange mites.
For use as crop protection agents or pesticides, the agents according to the invention can be in the customary formulations, such as solutions, emulsions, suspensions, powders, pastes and granules. These can be prepared in a known manner, e.g. B. by extending the active ingredients with solvents and / or carriers, optionally using emulsifiers and / or dispersants, where z. B. in the case of the use of water as a diluent orga African solvents can optionally be used as auxiliary solvents (see. Agricultural Chemicals, March 1960, pages 35-38).
The following are essentially suitable auxiliaries: solvents such as aromatics (e.g. xylene, benzene), chlorinated aromatics (e.g. chlorobenzenes), paraffins (e.g. petroleum fractions), alcohols (e.g. methanol, butanol ), Amines and amine derivatives (e.g. ethanolamine, dimethylformamide) and water; Carriers such as natural rock flour (e.g. highly disperse silica, silicates); Emulsifiers such as non-ionic and ionic emulsifiers (e.g. polyoxyethylene fatty acid esters, polyoxyethylene fatty alcohol ethers, alkyl sulfonates and aryl sulfonates) and dispersants such as lignin, sulfite waste liquors and methyl cellulose.
The active ingredients according to the invention can be present in the formulations as a mixture with other, known active ingredients.
The agents generally contain between 0.1 and 95% by weight of active ingredient, preferably between 0.5 and 90 °.
The pesticide according to the invention can, for. B. in the form of ready-to-use solutions, emulsifiable concentrates, emulsions, suspensions, spray powders, pastes, soluble powders, dusts and granulates. The application can be done in the usual way, for. B. by pouring, spraying Ver, atomizing, smoking, scattering, dusting, gasifying.
The production and the excellent insecticidal and acaricidal effectiveness of the agents according to the invention can be seen from the following application examples: Example 1 Myzus test (contact effect) Solvent: 3 parts by weight acetone Emulsifier: 1 part by weight alkylaryl polyglycol ether a) For production an appropriate preparation of active ingredient, 1 part by weight of active ingredient is mixed with the albgenden amount of solvent that contains the given amount of emulsifier, and the concentrate is diluted with water to the desired concentration, b) With the active ingredient preparation cabbage plants (Brassica oleracea), which are strong are infested by the peach aphid (Myzus persicae), sprayed dripping wet.
After the specified times, the degree of destruction is determined in%. Ioo% means that all ad in l is determined. 100% means that all aphids have been killed, O Y means that none of the aphids have been killed.
Active ingredients, active ingredient concentrations, evaluation times and results are shown in the following table:
EMI0003.0014
Example 2 Tetranychus test Solvent: 3 parts by weight of acetone Emulsifier: 1 part by weight of alkylaryl polyglycol ether a) To produce a suitable active ingredient preparation, 1 part by weight of active ingredient is mixed with the specified amount of solvent containing the specified amount of emulsifier, and dilute the concentrate with water to the desired concentration.
b) Beans plants (Phascolus vulgaris) which are approximately 10-30 cm in height are sprayed dripping wet with the preparation of the active compound. These bean plants are heavily infested with the common spider mite (Tetranychus urticae) at all stages of development (phosphoric acid ester-resistant strains).
After the specified times, the effectiveness of the active compound preparation is determined by counting the dead animals. The degree of destruction obtained in this way is indicated in%. WO % means that all spider mites have been killed, 0 / '0 means that none of the spider mites have been killed.

The active components are prepared as follows, for example: a) 59 g (0.4 mol) of 2-hydroxyquinoxaline are refluxed together with the equimolar amount of dried, finely sieved potassium carbonate in 350 ml of acetonitrile for 15 minutes with stirring and then at 50 to 55 C 69g O, O-diethylphosphoric acid ester chloride was added dropwise to the reaction mixture.
The latter is stirred for a further two hours at 75 ° C., allowed to cool, the mixture is mixed with 500 ml of benzene, the soluble components are washed out by shaking several times with water, the organic phase is dried over sodium sulphate and the solvent is evaporated under reduced pressure. Pressure off, at the end by so-called partial distillation at 70 C and 0.1 Torr.
In this way, 94 g (84.5% of theory) O- [quinoxalyl- (2)] -diethylphosphoric acid ester is obtained as a yellowish oil with the refractive index which cannot be distilled without decomposition
