Multiple counters In multiple counters, such as those used in particular for electrical multi-tariff meters, it is common practice to switch from one counter to the other by means of a relay acting on a pivoted lever. At the same time, the counter that is not in operation is prevented from rotating automatically by a locking lever. This arrangement requires considerable accuracy, since no counters must be able to move freely at any moment of switching. The lever used for switching and actuated by the relay thus has two precisely defined end positions.
On the other hand, the hinged armature or tie rod magnets usually used to operate such switching mechanisms have their own precisely defined end positions, so that precise individual adjustment of each individual drive is required. In addition, the usual folding or tie-rod relays only have a relatively short stroke path with a strongly variable tightening force.
In German Patent No. 436145, a limit current relay for reversing counters is described, which has a micrometer screw to adjust the stroke. The armature of the limit current relay is connected to a support bracket via a spring and a brass plate, and one arm of the brass plate actuates a rocker arm which, depending on the armature's position, couples the upper or lower counter to the drive shaft. This high mechanical expenditure requires an additional counterweight on the rocker arm for precise adjustment.
The invention is based on the object of multiple counters, in particular for multi-tariff meters, with a pivoted double lever actuated by a relay, which carries a gear to drive the respectively engaged counter, to create a simple arrangement for switching multi-tariff counters.
The object is achieved in that an approach of the double lever is guided by discs that are attached to the protruding end of the armature of the relay designed as a diving armature relay, and that the double lever is positioned on a switching lever on the common axis, which consists of two by one Spreader spring is held apart stirrups, one acts.
The advantage of using a plunger armature relay lies in the large stroke, and the direct arrangement of the disks on the armature eliminates the need for special adjustment of the relay and the switching mechanism coupled with it.
To explain the invention, a two-tariff counter is shown in the drawing as an exemplary embodiment, in which a double lever can be reversed by 180 for switching the two counters coaxially with the lever carrying the drive wheel for the counters. This ensures that one or the other of the counters can be switched on by energizing the relay, as required. For the sake of clarity, the individual parts are shown pulled apart in the axial direction in the drawing.
The drawing shows the two counters 1 and 2 and the drive wheel 3 pivotably mounted on the lever 4, which depending on the position of the lever 4 either, as shown, with the drive wheel 11 of the counter 1 or with the drive wheel 12 of the counter 2 comes into engagement. The front end of the lever 4 has a display flap 13 which reveals the counter being driven.
In order to ensure proper engagement of the pinion 3 with the drive wheels 11 and 12, it is advisable to provide not indicated in the drawing to hits for the end positions of the lever 4.
Loose on the axis 5, two brackets 14 and 15 are also arranged, which are held apart by a spreading spring 16 and cooperate with ratchet wheels 17 and 18 of the counters 1 and 2, respectively.
On the axis 5 of the lever 4 sits, also connected to the axis 5, the 180 reversible Doppelhe bel 6, which carries a projection 7 on which the relay 8 acts.
When the relay 8 is energized, the double lever 6 is swiveled clockwise against the spring force of the return spring 19 in the illustrated arrangement and thus the gear 3 is disengaged from the drive wheel 11 and instead is brought into engagement with the drive wheel 12, i.e. the arrangement of the counter 1 switched to counter 2. At the same time, the Doppelhe bel 6 pushes with his finger 61 the bracket 15 upwards, so that the free end releases the ratchet 18; by means of the expanding spring 16, the bracket 14, which until then was held by the finger 62 of the double lever 6, is brought into engagement with the ratchet wheel 17.
The relay 8 is designed as a plunger armature relay, its armature carries at the lower end two disks 9 and 10, between which the projection 7 of the double lever 6 engages, depending on its arrangement on the axis 5 to one side of the armature of the relay. In addition to guiding the lever attachment 7, the upper disk 9 also serves as a force line return path for the relay when it is energized.
To avoid humming noises, it is advantageous to operate the relay with direct current. If this direct current is taken from the alternating current network via a rectifier, it is advisable to smooth the direct voltage sufficiently to ensure that the relay does not start to flutter in the area of the wave troughs of the voltage and the armature may even drop and so that there is uncertainty in the gearbox.
