The invention relates to a device for the production of wide-crowned gears on tooth flank grinding machines operating in the partial generating process, with a gear arranged in the ram and actuated by its stroke movement, the output member of which acts on the tool slide. and a gear train for the tool slide retraction and the infeed during the dividing process,
consisting of a working cylinder which has a cylinder housing and a piston rod and is arranged between a bearing arm attached to the tool slide and the ram.
A device of the type mentioned is known. In this case, the gear acting on the tool slide for the purpose of generating the additional movement consists of an eccentric which is rotatably mounted in the ram. A roller lever is attached to its axis of rotation. whose role rests on curved pieces. The curve pieces are arranged adjustable and lockable on the rotating part leading to the ram.
On the eccentric there is still a leg of an angle lever, the other leg of which engages a collar of the piston rod of the Ar beitszylinders fixed in the ram. On the other side of the same collar of the piston rod there is a compression spring to secure the contact of the angle lever with the eccentric.
The piston rod has at its lower end a thread which engages the internal thread of a bearing arm. The bearing arm is firmly connected to the tool slide. The tool slide carries the grinding tool for grinding the tooth flanks. It also has a guide that runs at an angle to the ram guide for receiving it on the ram.
When grinding the tooth flanks of a gear, the ram performs rapid stroke movements. If the toothed wheel is to have broad-crowned tooth flanks, the roller of the roller lever moves along the correspondingly set curve pieces with each stroke, so that the eccentric is given a partial rotation according to the curve shape. This manifests itself as a pivoting of the angle lever resting against the eccentric, which causes a displacement of the piston rod.
The displacement of the piston rod is transmitted via the thread connection to the bearing arm and thus the tool slide, whereby according to the shape of the curved pieces of the grinding body at the ends of the tooth flanks of the gear to be ground this is approximated by a small amount. The tooth flanks are ground so that they are crowned in width.
As soon as a tooth has been ground, the grinding wheel is disengaged and the gear is divided by one tooth pitch. The retraction and infeed of the grinding body is done by the working cylinder, the piston of which, however, is also acted upon with hydraulic oil on both sides during the grinding process.
It has been shown that in the described known device of the type mentioned at the outset, the tool slide and thus also the grinding body do not return to exactly the same starting position, which should be determined by the previously executed stroke, with each stroke of the ram. This leads to the fact that the small additional movement carried out by the tool slide is irregular and uncontrollable, i. H. the tooth flanks are ground to be incorrectly crowned. A repeat accuracy is not given. However, this does not achieve the desired advantage of a broad-crowned gear - an improved load-bearing capacity as a result of avoiding edge wear.
This imprecise movement of the tool slide is caused by the fact that with each additional stroke of the tool slide caused by the rotation of the eccentric, the piston rod with the piston of the working cylinder acted on both sides must be moved by the corresponding, extremely small amount relative to its cylinder housing.
This is explained by the fact that the piston rod with the bearing arm of the tool slide and the cylinder housing with the ram are rigid.
The movement of the piston relative to the cylinder housing is offset by the inertia of the oil column acting on the piston as well as the relatively large frictional forces between the piston and the cylinder wall as well as the piston rod and the cylinder seal. These opposing forces, which are also discontinuous due to the jump between the friction values of rest and movement, cause irregular deformations of the piston rod and all other moving parts, the total amount of which is in the order of magnitude of the additional movement of the tool slide.
The occurring deformations and jumps in movement thus lead to a falsification of the additional movement given to the tool slide, which causes the inaccuracies explained above. The invention be intended to grind gears with high accuracy and repeat accuracy wide crowned.
The invention is based on the object of creating a device for generating broad-crowned Zahnrä countries on tooth flank grinding machines working in the partial rolling process, in which the working cylinder has a freedom of movement corresponding to the size of the additional movement relative to the ram or to the bearing arm of the tool slide.
This is achieved according to the invention in that a resilient element is provided in the gear train, with the ram, working cylinder and bearing arm of the tool slide, the spring force of which acts on the tool slide in the direction of the gear to be ground.
In a device in which the cylinder housing of the working cylinder is attached to the bearing arm of the tool slide and whose piston rod is supported against the plunger, it is advantageous that the piston rod is axially displaceable relative to the plunger and the resilient element between the piston rod and a contact surface sits on the ram.
In contrast, in a device in which the cylinder housing of the working cylinder is fastened in the plunger and the piston rod is supported on the bearing arm of the tool slide, it is advantageous that the bearing arm fastened to the tool slide is axially displaceable to a limited extent relative to the piston rod and the spring element between the piston rod and bearing arm sits.
A pretensioned helical compression spring is expediently provided as the resilient element, which rests on the one hand against a collar arranged on the piston rod and on the other hand against a flange connected to the bearing arm.
A spiral spring which is attached to the piston rod and the free end of which is bent at an acute angle to the axis of the piston rod and rests on a bolt connected to the bearing arm is also advantageous as a resilient element.
Such a design of the device for generating broad-crowned gears is made light that the additional movement of the tool slide required for grinding the width-crowning is transmitted directly to the latter without a corresponding relative displacement occurring between the piston and the cylinder housing of the working cylinder. This means that the pre-tensioned oil column is not affected by this movement. This results from the fact that the working cylinder as a whole can also perform this additional movement or remains excluded from it overall.
The interposed resilient element enables the relative movement while maintaining a non-positive connection of the working cylinder with the ram or the bearing arm of the tool slide. Thus, the large and unsteady opposing forces, caused by friction and inertia, are kept away from the moving parts, so that the larger deformations and jumps in movement are avoided. The smaller additional movements of the tool slide, which are in the order of magnitude of a few hundredths of a millimeter, are thus transmitted to the grinding wheel without errors.
With each stroke, it executes a corresponding trajectory with high repeat accuracy. With the device according to the invention, broad-crowned ground gears can therefore be produced with great accuracy.
The invention is explained below using a few examples.
The accompanying drawings show: FIG. 1: The front view of the rotating part with ram of a vertically operating tooth flank grinding machine, partly in a schematic representation, FIG. 2, the side view, with the working cylinder being fastened in the ram, also partly shown schematically, FIG. 3 the side view, analogous to FIG. 2, but with a spiral spring as the elastic element; FIG. 4: the side view analogous to FIG. 2, the working cylinder being attached to the bearing arm of the tool slide.
A tooth flank grinding machine operating in the partial generating process has a stand 1 (FIGS. 1 and 2) on which a rotating part 2 is arranged. The rotating part 2 has guides 2.1 for receiving a plunger 3. water is connected to a lifting gear, not visible in the drawing, provided in the rotating part 2 and in the stand 1. Furthermore, 3 guides 3.1 are arranged on the ram, the direction of guidance of which is perpendicular to the direction of the guides 2.1 and in which a tool slide 4 is received. In the tool slide 4, a grinding body 5 for grinding the tooth flanks of a gear Z is mounted.
The grinding body by 5 is connected via a gear, not shown, to a drive motor, also not shown. A bearing arm 6 is attached to the tool slide 4 and, in the first exemplary embodiment, contains a stepped bore 6.1 running parallel to the guide 3.1 of the plunger 3. In this bore 6.1 a piston rod 7.1 of a working cylinder 7 is guided axially displaceably by shoulders. The cylinder housing 7.2 of the working cylinder 7 is fastened in the plunger 3, its piston 7.3 can be acted upon with hydraulic oil on both sides.
From the bore 6.1 of the bearing arm 6, a preloaded helical compression spring 8 is recorded men. This lies on the one hand on a collar 7, 11 provided at the end of the piston rod 7.1 and on the other hand on a flange 9 on which the bearing arm 6 is screwed.
An eccentric 10 is rotatably mounted in the bearing arm 6 above the bore 6.1. Its outer surface rests on an inclined contact surface 11 which is arranged in the plunger 3 so that it can be adjusted and locked. The securing of the contact of the eccentric 10 on the contact surface 11 is ensured by the compression spring 8.
On the axis of rotation of the eccentric 10, a einarmi ger lever 12 is attached, which is acted upon by a compression spring 13. The end of the arm of the lever 12 rests on a sliding surface 14.1, which extends parallel to the guiding direction of the guide 3.1 and forms the end of a double-armed lever 14. This is pivotably mounted in the plunger 3. His other arm carries a cam roller 15 which rests on a trapezoidal cam piece 16. The curve piece 16 is adjustably attached to the rotating part 2 and has a shape corresponding to the required crowning of the toothed wheel Z to be ground.
The inventive device works as follows: When grinding the tooth flanks of the gear Z, the ram 3 is given rapid stroke movements by the lifting gear and the grinding body 5 is given a rotary drive.
During the lifting movement of the ram 3, the cam roller 15 rolls along the cam piece 16 so that the lever 14 is given a pivoting movement corresponding to the curve shape. The pivoting movement is transmitted to the lever 12 and thus to the eccentric 10 via the sliding surface 14.1. As a result of the contact of the outer surface of the eccentric 10 on the stationary contact surface 11, the rotation of the eccentric 10 causes a displacement of the bearing arm 6 and thus also of the tool slide 4 and the grinding wheel 5. The shift takes place in such a way that the grinding body 5 approaches the gear wheel Z to be ground towards the ends of the tooth flanks by a small amount. The tooth flanks are ground with a crowned width.
Since the piston rod 7.1 of the working cylinder 7 is not rigidly connected to the bearing arm 6, the latter can carry out the small displacement movements alone, ie. H. Piston rod 7.1 and piston 7.3 and the CO column in the working cylinder 7 remain at rest relative to the cylinder housing 7.2. There are no additional and discontinuous counterforces. This is possible through the appropriate dimensioning of the helical compression spring B.
For this reason, this has a spring characteristic with a relatively small rise, so that even with the additional movement of the bearing arm 4, which equates to a slight additional tension and relaxation of the helical compression spring 8, the absolute value of the spring force is less than the counterforces resulting from the working cylinder ( Friction, inertia) remains.
A displacement of the piston rod 7.1 is thus excluded.
As soon as a tooth of the gear Z has been completely ground, the grinding body 5 is disengaged and the gear Z is further divided by one tooth. For this purpose, hydraulic oil is applied to the left cylinder space of the cylinder housing 7.2. The beginning displacement of the piston rod 7.1 is transmitted by means of the collar 7.11 to the bearing arm 6 and thus the tool slide 4, the helical compression spring 8 being partially relaxed.
After completion of the partial process, the tool slide 4 is transported back by means of the working cylinder 7. The exact position of the tool slide 4 is determined by the contact between the eccentric 10 and the contact surface 11. The displacement path of the piston 7.3 of the working cylinder 7 now causes the initial tension of the helical compression spring 8 again.
In the second embodiment (Fig. 3), the components arranged in the plunger 3 are basically analogous to those of the first embodiment. They therefore do not need to be explained again. The only difference is that a spiral spring 17 is now provided as the resilient element. This is attached to the piston rod 7: 1, while its free end 17.1 is bent at an acute angle to the axis of the piston rod 7.1 and rests on a bolt 18. The bolt 18 is attached to the bearing arm 6.
The mode of operation of this second exemplary embodiment also corresponds to that explained at the beginning: The rotation of the eccentric 10 caused by the cam pieces 16 causes the additional movement of the tool slide 4, with the bearing arm due to the elastic connection of the bearing arm 6 with the piston rod 7.1 of the working cylinder 7 6 carries out the small displacement movements alone. A Relativbewe movement of the piston rod 7.1 relative to the cylinder housing 7.2 does not occur. The same applies to the dimensioning of the spiral spring 17 as was said for the helical compression spring 8 of the first exemplary embodiment.
The third exemplary embodiment (FIG. 4) differs from the one already explained in that the cylinder housing 7.2 of the working cylinder 7 is now attached to the bearing arm 6. The outer end face of the cylinder housing 7.2 has a contact surface 19 which is in direct contact with the lateral surface of the eccentric 10 now mounted in the plunger 3. This is connected to the curve pieces 16 via a gear (not shown).
The piston rod 7.1 of the working cylinder 7 carries a ring 20 which has the connections for oil channels arranged in the piston rod 7.1. A pretensioned helical compression spring 21 rests on the ring 20, which on the other hand is supported on a contact surface on the plunger 3. With regard to the dimensioning of these helical compression spring 21, the statements made in the first embodiment for helical compression spring 8 apply.
How this device works: The cam pieces 16 cause the eccentric 10 to rotate, causing the additional movement over the contact surface 19, the cylinder housing 7.2. and the bearing arm 6 is transferred to the tool slide 4. Since the piston rod 7.1 of the working cylinder 7 is now elastically connected to the plunger 3 via the helical compression spring 21, the piston rod 7.1 can also carry out the movement of the cylinder housing 7.2. A relative movement of the piston rod 7.1 with respect to the cylinder housing 7.2 is not possible if the appropriate dimensioning of the helical compression spring 21 is observed.
The explained advantages thus also occur in this exemplary embodiment.
It should also be mentioned that the concept of the invention with regard to the choice of the elastic element, its arrangement with respect to the working cylinder and also the arrangement of the working cylinder itself in the gear train plunger, working cylinder and bearing arm of the tool is not bound to the above Ausführungsbeispie le. On the other hand, other arrangements are also possible, but these in principle produce the same effects.
