Centrifugal pump The subject of the invention is a centrifugal pump, the housing of which forms a spiral-shaped diffuser and an inlet connection, characterized in that the outer part of the inlet connection adjacent to a connection flange surrounds the outer part of the diffuser on at least a part of the circumference, at the connection flange second housing is attached, which has two lateral openings, each surrounded by a flange,
and in this housing rotatably an organ with an arcuate flow channel is rotatably arranged, the end of the wall of this flow channel concentric to the axis of rotation at least almost abutting the coaxial end of the diffuser, whereas the other end of the wall of this flow channel optionally with it by rotating the organ one or the other of the side openings of the housing can be brought into overlap.
Such a design ensures that with unchanged direction of rotation of the pump impeller, depending on the position of the organ with an arcuate flow channel, the liquid flows out through one or the other side opening of the second housing and flows in through the other of these two openings.
The attached drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. It shows: FIG. 1 an elevation, partly in section, FIG. 2 a side elevation, partly in section along the line II-II of FIG. 1, and FIG Line III-IIT of FIG. 1.
On the bearing 1 of the drive shaft 2, the disk-shaped part 3 of the pump housing is flanged; the pump housing part 4, in which the impeller 5 operates, is attached to this part 3. On this part 4, the spiral diffuser 4a and the inlet connection 4b with a connecting flange 4c are formed.
As can be clearly seen from the drawing, the outer part of the inlet connection 4b (remote from the pump axis) surrounds the outer part of the diffuser 4a on part of its circumference and the connecting flange 4c extends around the outer end of the diffuser. A second housing 6 is fastened with its lower flange on the connection flange 4c and tapers conically upwards.
It has two diametrically opposite lateral openings 7, 8, to each of which a short pipe bend 9 and 10 is connected.
In the second housing 6 an organ 11 with an arcuate flow channel 12 is rotatably arranged, the end 11a of the wall of this flow channel concentric to the axis of rotation resting at least almost on the end coaxial thereto, whereas the other,
the end 11b of the wall of this flow channel located on the conical surface of the organ 11 can be brought to overlap with one or the other of the lateral housing openings 7, 8 by rotating this organ by means of a spindle 13 attached to it.
Flow distribution ribs 14, which are formed on the convex outer side of the wall of the flow channel 12, are in both rotary bearings of the organ 11 with their comb facing that of the openings 7, 8 from which the outer opening of the flow channel 12 is turned away.
Water or other liquid to be pumped ge reached through the opening in the Ge housing 6 that is not in overlap with this last-mentioned opening, is distributed through the ribs 4
washes around the wall of the flow channel 12 and passes through the opening 15 left free between the connection flange 4c and the outer diffuser end in the inlet connector 4b and into the active area of the impeller 5,
then flows through the diffuser 4a and then into the arch-shaped flow channel 12 and finally exits through that of the two openings 7, 8 with which the outer end of this flow channel has been brought into overlap.
The spindle 13 is mounted on the top of the second housing 6 and equipped with a stuffing box bearing 16 rotatable and uriverschiebbar ge superimposed.
