Mechanical reduction transmission device between a control shaft and a servo-controlled shaft The present invention relates to a mechanical reduction transmission device between a control shaft and a servo-controlled shaft, which can be used as a transmission with invariable reduction ratio.
This transmission device is characterized in that the control shaft has an eccentric inclined along an axis not parallel to that of this shaft, this eccentric supporting, freely in rotation, a first pinion with lateral teeth engaging by planetary movement, due to its oscillation, on a second pinion also with lateral toothing so that the point of engagement of the teeth moves with the inclined eccentric, one of the two pinions being immobilized in rotation and the first pinion having, moreover, a number of teeth different from that of the second pinion of the secondary shaft,
said secondary shaft being driven in rotation at a complementary angle corresponding to the difference in toothing of the two pinions.
The drawing represents, by way of example, several embodiments of the object of the invention.

Fig. 10 is a sectional view along X-X of the positive device of FIG. 9.
In fig. 1, the reduction transmission device operates in the manner of a transmission device with bevel planetary gears. The device includes a first pinion. 3 meshing with a second pin 4 at tooth sector 5. The pinion 3 comprises a hub, the end 3a of which is provided with a housing bore for a suitable bearing 29 supported axially and radially, by mounting on a ex-centric journal 14 fixed to, or integral with, the primary shaft 8 of the transmission device.
The shaft 8 is supported by bearings 12 and 13 and should be considered as being coupled to the drive shaft, or as constituting said drive shaft of a suitable and traditional electric motor 9 shown schematically. The motor can be fixed to the casing 10 by means of a flange 11. It is understood that the mounting flange 11 can also constitute a part of the motor casing itself.
The other end of the pinion hub 3 is supported by a bearing such as a spherical bearing comprising a ring or a bearing cup 30 and a bearing surface 31. This bearing surface 31 is fixed to a secondary shaft 15 of the transmission system, or is integral with it.
The pinion 3 has at its periphery teeth curved spherically or in an arc of a circle 6, as indicated by the radius R. These teeth mesh with straight teeth 7 arranged on a part of the inner wall of the housing 10, the pinion 3 and the housing 10 having the same number of teeth. The teeth being meshed at 6 and 7, function in the manner of an involute coupling, in which the spherical or circular configuration of the teeth of the pinion 3 allows an inclination of said pinion at an angle equal to the indicated angle u in the figure, or larger than this one.
The inclination of the pmgnon 3, and consequently its meshing with the pinion 4, is obtained by means of the eccentric journal 14, which maintains the pinion 3 at the angle with respect to the axis line YY 'constituting the common axis of the primary shaft 8 and of the secondary shaft 15. The rotation of the shaft 8 and, therefore, of the eccentric bearing 14 causes the engaged tooth sector 5 to journal around the pinion 4.
Pinion 4 should be considered to have fewer teeth than pinion 3. If, for example, it is assumed that pinion 3 has sixty teeth and pinion 4 has fifty-nine, then shaft 8 is forgotten. gation to complete sixty revolutions to obtain a complete revolution of pinion 4, and with it of secondary shaft 15.
It is obvious that other tooth ratios can also be used. The equation for the crew reason is
EMI0002.0015
in which r is the reduction of the transmission device, Z being the number of teeth of the first pinion (pinion 3) and Z @ the number of teeth of the second pinion (pinion 4). Pinion 3, for example, may have twenty-three teeth, and pinion 4 may have twenty-two teeth, giving a 23/1 reduction ratio.
It is often necessary, or at least advised, to balance the weight of the pinion 3, for example by means of one or more counterweights 26 fixed in a removable manner on a suitable disc 25, itself fixed to the axle. 8. The primary shaft 8 can be balanced independently by means of one or more axial orifices 24 of determined length, in order to compensate for any imbalance which may result from the eccentricity of the journal 14.
The reduction transmission device of FIG. 2, similar to that of FIG. 1, comprises a first pinion 22 and a second pinion 23 permanently mounted in the housing 10. The support of the pinion 22 differs from that of the corresponding pinion 3 of FIG. 1 in that the spherical bearing 30, 31 of said FIG. 1 is replaced by a ball type coupling. This coupling comprises balls 16 and 17 guided by a guide path curved along an arc of a circle 18 and by a control axis 19.
The latter is pivotally mounted at one end in a bearing surface 22a of the pinion core 22, and at the other end, in a guide sleeve 40 sliding longitudinally in a bore 41 made in the corresponding end of the hub 23a of the secondary shaft 15. A coil spring 42 pushes the control shaft 19 towards the hub 22a of the pinion 22. The guide path 18 and the control shaft 19 guide the balls in the radial grooves 20 and 21 so as to that these always divide the angle of inclination (180 -) o of the pinion 22 with respect to the axis line YY into two equal angles of (180 - (x) o: 2, which allows to obtain a conformal angular velocity w.
Advantageously, there are six to eight balls, circumferentially equidistant.
Ball type couplings of the kind described in fig. 2, are known in the relevant art, but until now they had not been used in collaboration with a transmission system with bevel gears driven by means of an eccentric member. The invention is characterized in that a combination of this kind produces a uniform angular speed w, instead of a more or less regular rotation which can be obtained, for example, with the reduction transmission device described. to Swedish Patent No. 155,488, using a simple universal joint.
As can be seen in fig. 2, the bevel gear 23 is fixedly mounted in the housing 10, in which case the pinion 22 is coupled to the secondary shaft 15 by means of a ball coupling rotating at a strictly constant angular speed. The planetary revolution is ensured in the device of fig. 2 by means of the pinion 22 rotating with the shaft 15, while in fig. 1, it is the pinion 3 which ensures the planetary revolution and which is rotatably supported in the housing 10, while the pinion 4 rotates integrally with the secondary shaft 15.
The invention can be conceived in several different ways. For example, the coupling provided by the teeth curved along an arc of a circle 6 and 7 can be replaced by balls engaged in guide grooves curved along the same arc of a circle. The coupling between the first and the second pinion of the transmission system can also be ensured by tabs, rollers or bushings, the bushings possibly being made of elastic material in order to ensure regular rotation.
An embodiment of this kind is particularly suitable for a transmission device in which the pinion 3 - that is to say the first pinion - ensures the planetary revolution, with a large gear case, like this. is necessary for heavy loads. It is also possible to provide an elastic coupling in the form of leather or rubber discs, by mounting the connecting members of such a coupling respectively on the pinion ensuring the planetary movement, and on the housing 10. The transmission devices provided resilient couplings of this kind are particularly suitable when the device is intended for a relatively low torque.
Figs. 3 to 10 illustrate several devices for coupling the planetary gear to the housing. More particularly, all the examples illustrated in FIG. 3 to 10 show the coupling of the pinion 3 of fig. 1 with the housing 10. However, it is understood that the coupling devices described by way of example can also be applied to a transmission device such as that of FIG. 2. Identical references were used to designate the corresponding parts.
With regard to Figs. 3 and 4, the coupling is made by means of balls 50, guided on the one hand in a curved groove according to an arc of a circle 6 concentric and normal to the axis of the pinion 4 and made on the periphery of the pinion 3a , and, on the other hand, in a guide path 7 ', also curved along the same arc of a circle, made on the housing 10.
In fig. 5, the coupling between the pinion 3 and the casing 10 is ensured by an elastic member 51 of generally U-shaped section, one branch of which 51a is fixed to a support 10a of the casing 10, by means of bolts 52, for example, and the other branch of which 51b is fixed to the pinion 3, by means of bolts 53, for example. The base of U of the section of the body 51 is oriented towards the axis of the pinion 3 in a generally radial direction. The maximum deformation to which the organ 51 is liable to be subjected when the casing 10 and the pinion 3 are in angular movement with respect to each other is indicated by the dotted lines.
The device of FIG. 6 is similar to that of FIG. 5 in that there is provided an elastic member 55 generally in the shape of <c U. The member 55 is mounted in the direction opposite to that of the member 51, that is to say the base of <c U outwardly, but is oriented, as previously, in a generally radial direction.
Figs. 7 and 8 show an arrangement in which the coupling between the pinion 3 and the casing 10 is provided by rollers 60 disposed on the periphery of the pinion 3, and journaling on pins 61 or other suitable fixing devices, rollers 60 guided in grooves or guideways 62 made on the housing 10.
Figs. 9 and 10 show an arrangement opposite to that of FIGS. 7 and 8, in that the rollers 63 are mounted to journal on the housing 10 by means of suitable fixing devices such as pins 64, and are guided in grooves or guideways 65 made on the periphery of the pinion 3.
