Electrical anti-skid or anti-skid device for rail vehicles The invention relates to an electrical anti-skid or anti-skid device for at least one wheel set of a rail vehicle coupled to an alternator.
The invention is based on the object of providing a slide or anti-skid device of the type mentioned above, which is operationally safe, is easy to adapt to the given circumstances, is cheap to manufacture and hardly requires maintenance.
This object is achieved in that in a anti-skid or anti-skid device for at least one wheel set of a rail vehicle coupled to an alternator, in which the alternator charges a capacitor connected to a constantly active discharge path via a diode with a constant voltage proportional to the rotational speed of the wheel set and electronic switching elements controlled by the level of the charging current from the alternating current generator to the capacitor are provided for monitoring the braking or driving force acting on the wheelset,
According to the invention, the discharge path of the capacitor has electronic control elements which keep the level of the discharge current at least approximately constant, regardless of the level of the voltage on the capacitor, at a permanently adjustable value.
A transistor that is switched into the discharge path and whose conductivity is controlled as a function of the level of the discharge current can advantageously be used as an electronic control element.
It has proven particularly advantageous if a first transistor in collector circuit is switched on in the discharge path, whose base voltage is controlled by a second transistor in emitter circuit, the base voltage of the second transistor being controlled by the emitter voltage of the first transistor.
It is also advantageous if the control sensitivity of the transistor controlled by the charging current can be adjusted by arbitrarily adjustable control elements. This can be achieved in a simple manner in that the control sensitivity of the transistor is determined by the set resistance value of a variable resistor connected in parallel with the emitter-base path of the transistor.
With the help of the variable resistance, the anti-skid device can then be easily and safely set to any acceleration value of the wheelset as a response limit.
A further improvement in the response of the anti-skid device results when the response sensitivity of an amplifier connected downstream of the transistor is determined by the opening voltage of a Zener diode that is switched on more strongly in the coupling line from the transistor to the Ver.
In an anti-skid device, it is advantageous if a monitoring device is provided for switching off the anti-skid device when the vehicle falls below a certain, low travel speed of the rail. A simple embodiment for this is obtained if the monitoring device interrupts the power supply to at least part of the anti-skid device when the voltage present on the capacitor drops below a specific, definable limit value.
To reduce the current drawn from the capacitor by the monitoring device, the latter can be designed in such a way that an electronic switch is switched on in the power supply line of at least part of the anti-skid device, which is controlled via a transistor amplifier as a function of the voltage on the capacitor.
The time factor, which is often desirable in anti-skid devices, can be introduced in a simple manner because an electronic timing element is present in an amplifier connected downstream of the transistor.
In the case of rail vehicles that have several wheel sets monitored by sliding or anti-skid devices of the type given above, an additional speed comparison can be carried out in a simple manner. For this purpose, rectified and smoothed DC voltages generated by the alternating current generators can be switched against each other via a current bridge and switching elements can be provided which respond when a current flow in the current bridge that exceeds a minimum value occurs.
A particularly simple embodiment, which serves to make one of the anti-slip or anti-skid devices respond when the speed difference between the wheel sets exceeds a certain minimum, results when the capacitor poles connected to the diodes of the sliding force associated with the individual wheel sets or anti-skid devices via Zener diodes,
Resistors or VDR resistors are similar to one another with a compensating conductor and if the generator poles facing away from the aforementioned capacitor poles are directly connected to one another.
In the drawings, the circuits of various embodiments of the invention are shown, namely Fig. 1 shows an anti-skid device, Fig. 2 shows an anti-skid device and Fig. 3 compares a device for additional speed, the same reference numerals referring to corresponding components.
In the description, a current flow from the positive to the negative pole is assumed.
According to FIG. 1, the anti-skid device has an alternating current generator 1 which is coupled to the gear set (not shown) and which generates an alternating voltage from one of the speed. of the wheelset provides proportional height and frequency. One pole 3 of the alternating current generator 1 is connected to one pole of a capacitor 7 via a diode 5,
and the emitter of a transistor 13 is connected to the other pole 9 of the alternator 1 via a conductor 11. The base of the transistor 13 is connected to the second pole of the capacitor 7. The diode 5 is polarized in such a way that the alternating current generator 1 can only positively charge the pole of the capacitor 7 facing the transistor 13.
The emitter-base path of the transistor 13 is connected in parallel with a variable resistor 15 and a diode 17 which blocks the flow of current in the specified direction. The conductor 11 is connected to the positive pole and the collector of the transistor 13 via a resistor 19 and a conductor 21 to the negative pole of a DC voltage source, not shown, a related party.
The transistor 13 is therefore located in an emitter circuit. To the pole of the capacitor 7 connected to the diode 5, the collector of a transistor 23 is connected, the emitter of which is connected to the conductor 11 via a variable working resistor 25. The base of the transistor 23 is connected to the collector of a further transistor 27 and its collector is connected to the conductor 21 via a working resistor 29.
The emitter of the transistor 27 is connected to the conductor 11 and the base to the emitter of the transistor 23. The transistor 23 be found in the collector and the transistor 27 in the emitter circuit, both transistors 23 and 27 together with the diode 17 form a diode 5 bridging, regulated discharge path for the capacitor 7 Kon.
The collector of the transistor 13 is coupled via a coupling line 31 into which a Zener diode 33 is connected to a transistor amplifier stage which consists of a transistor 35 with a working resistor 37 connected in the emitter circuit between the conductors 11 and 21 .
Between tween the conductor 11 and the collector of the transistor 35, an output signal can be removed, which can be used immediately or after further amplification to initiate suitable and known measures against the skidding of the wheel set, for example for sanding and / or to reduce the driving force.
The function of the anti-skid device is based on the fact that the alternating current generator charges the capacitor 7 via the diode 5 and the emitter-base path of the transistor 13 with current surges proportional to the magnitude of its rotational acceleration and thus also that of the wheelset. Starting from a certain rotational speed of the alternator 1, the half-wave of the alternating voltage generated by the diode 5 charges the capacitor 7,
as soon as its voltage - as a result of the increasing rotational speed of the alternating current generator - exceeds the voltage peak of the corresponding, preceding half-wave and thus the charge of the capacitor 7 that has already been reached. The strength of the current flowing into the capacitor 7 in the operating range of the anti-skid device depends on the rotational acceleration of the alternating current generator 1, not on its rotational speed.
The influence of the current flow through the discharge path monitored by means of the transistors 23, 27 is slight; it is essentially limited to increasing the charging current surges by a certain value.
The charging current surges control the conductivity of the transistor 13, so that a proportional voltage drop occurs at the load resistor 19 of the rotational acceleration of the alternator 1.
As soon as the Drehbe acceleration of the alternator 1 exceeds a certain value indicating a skidding of the wheelset, the voltage drop across the work resistor 19 is so great that the voltage between the coupling line 31 and the conductor 11 falls below the Zener voltage of the Zener diode 33 .
The previously open Zener diode 33 closes, so that no more current flows into the base of the transistor 35 and the transistor 35, which was previously in the conductive state, blocks. So it occurs a high output signal, which is used in a manner already specified, not presented to eliminate the excessive acceleration.
The discharge path is provided so that the anti-skid device is immediately ready for operation again after braking the rail vehicle. The two transistors 23 and 27 cause a constantly effective discharge of the capacitor 7 via the diode 17 or the resistor 15 with an almost independent of the level of the charge, through the counter was 25 adjustable current.
The transistor 27 controls the transistor 23 with an amplified current proportional to the voltage drop across the resistor 25 such that the resistance of the transistor 23 changes like the strength of the discharge current passing through it. With a decrease in the speed of the AC generator 1 and thus the sen peak voltage, the discharge path discharges the capacitor 7 except for the lowered peak voltage of the AC generator; in the event of a subsequent acceleration, the anti-skid device is ready for operation again.
By means of the variable resistor 15, the portion of the charging current passing through the transistor 13 for the capacitor 7 and thus the response sensitivity of the anti-skid device can be set.
Since even at a constant rotational speed of the alternating current generator 1, due to the effect of the discharge path, a certain charging current already occurs for the capacitor 7, which also squeezes into periodic, short time intervals and thus in the form of short control currents of considerable current strength for the transistor 13 becomes effective, the anti-skid device is adjustable up to an extremely high sensitivity.
If the resistor 15 is selected with a value that is now lower than that of the resistor 25, the diode 17 can be omitted. The current flowing through the discharge path must then make its way via the resistor 15, which, however, does not have a disruptive influence under the condition specified above.
In order to bring the anti-skid device ready for operation even at very low rotational speeds of the alternating current generator 1 and thus correspondingly low voltages prevailing at its connection poles 3 and 9, it can be advantageous, in the manner indicated in FIG. 1, to have an adjustable resistor 38 between the Switch on conductor 21 and connection pole 3.
The value of the resistor 38 is to be set in such a way that when the alternating current generator 1 is at a standstill, as a result of the voltage dividing effect of the resistor 38 and the alternating current generator 1, a voltage prevails at the terminal 3 which is at the lowest opening voltage of the diode 5. If the alternator 1 begins to rotate more, the very low voltage initially generated can already pass through the diode 5 and thus cause charging current surges for the capacitor 7.
FIG. 2 shows the invention designed as an anti-skid device. The circuit and effect of the alternator 1, the diode 5, the transistor 13, the capacitor 7 and the transi interfere 23 and 27, the load resistor 25 and the diode 17 comprehensive discharge path is the same as in the embodiment of FIG. Only the variable resistor 15 can be omitted. The collector of transistor 13 is capacitively coupled to the base of a transistor 43 verbun via a resistor 41 to the conductor 21.
The emitter of the transistor 43 is connected to the collector of a further transistor 47 via a Zener diode 45, which is active in the direction of current flow to the aforementioned emitter. The collector of transistor 47 is further connected via a resistor 49 to the base of a transistor 51 and the base of the first-mentioned transistor 47 directly to the emitter of the second-mentioned transistor 51.
The collector of the Tran sistor 51 is connected directly to the conductor 11 via a diode 53 which opens in this current flow direction to the pole of the capacitor 7 facing the diode 5 and the emitter of the transistor 47. The Transi stor 47 is thus together with the Zener diode 45 is an electronic switch which is switched depending on the voltage on the capacitor 7 with the interposition of the transistor 51 as a power amplifier and monitors the power supply for the Tran sistor 43.
The collector of the transistor 43 connected to the conductor 21 via a working resistor 55 is connected to the base of a transistor 61 provided with a working resistor 59 and located in the collector circuit via a resistor 57. From the emitter of the transistor 61, a line leads via a diode 63, which blocks this current flow direction, to a pole of a 65 bridged by a variable resistor.
on the other hand, capacitor 67 connected to conductor 11 and further via a resistor 69 and a Zener diode 71 effective in the reverse current flow direction to the base of a transistor 73 in the emitter circuit.
At the connected via a load resistor 75 with the conductor 21 which collector of the transistor 73 is coupled via a Zener diode 77 effective in the reverse current flow direction, the base of a power transistor 79, the sen emitter with the conductor 11 and its collector via the coil one when it responds the vehicle brake releasing and / or a sanding cause the relay 81 to the conductor 21 is connected. The Lei ter 11 is in turn connected to the positive and the conductor 21 to the negative pole of a DC voltage source.
To operate the anti-skid device, it is necessary to set the current flowing through the discharge path with means of the resistor 25 to a value that corresponds to the desired delay of the rotational speed of the alternator 1 and thus also of the wheelset required to respond to the anti-skid device.
When driving with or without a delay than the aforementioned, the alternating current generator 1 charges the capacitor 7 via the transistor 13 constantly with current surges to compensate for the current flow through the discharge path. The current surges act at the base of the transistor 43, which is supplied with current via the transistor 47 with current, positive, the said transistor 43 blocking In the pulses, which are increasingly transmitted as negative pulses to the following transistor 61 and periodically open it, so that as a result of the voltage drop across the load resistor 59, the capacitor 67 is charged via the diode 63 in the polarity shown in FIG.
The charging of the capacitor 67 rises above the Zener voltage of the Zener diode 71, so that a discharge current flows which puts the transistor 73 into its conductive state. The voltage drop across the load resistor 75 becomes so great that the Zener diode 77 and thus also the power transistor 79 block. The relay 81 is therefore not excited and does not influence the braking processes of the rail vehicle.
As soon as the rotational deceleration of the alternating current generator reaches and exceeds the value set on the resistor 25, the peak voltage of the alternating current generated by the alternating current generator 1 drops faster than the voltage on the capacitor 7 due to its discharge via the discharge path. So there are no more charging current pulses through the emitter-base path of the transistor 13, so that this transistor blocks continuously, the transistor 43 opens continuously and the transistor 61 again blocks continuously.
The capacitor 67 is therefore no longer charged and its voltage drops by discharging through the resistor 65 until it falls below the zener voltage of the zener diode 71 - after a time delay determined by the value of the resistor 65. The transistor 73 then blocks, there is no voltage drop across the load resistor 75, the Zener diode 77 opens and the power transistor 79 becomes conductive.
The relay 81 is therefore energized and influences the braking of the rail vehicle until the wheelset and thus the alternator 1 are again accelerated to a speed that would be enough in the meantime when braking with a just permissible delay. The charging pulses for the capacitor 7 then start again and the anti-skid device returns without delay to its previously described Ar beitsweise with a smaller than the permissible rotational delay back.
During the processes described above, the charging of the capacitor 7 feeds a weak current flow through the diode 17, the emitter-base path of the transistor 47, the emitter-collector path of the transistor 51 and the diode 53. The transistor 47 is conductive, see above that the transistor 43 is supplied with current via the likewise conductive Zener diode 45.
Shortly before the alternating current generator 1 comes to a standstill, the voltage across the capacitor 7 drops to such a low value that the current flow in the circuit described above is interrupted as a result of the diode 53, namely before the current flow in the discharge path drops. The transistor 47 and the Zener diode 45 therefore block the power supply to the transistor 43.
The capacitor 67 is thus constantly charged and the relay 81 remains tool even when the vehicle is stationary, -when the charging current pulses for the capaci tor 7 are missing, unexcited.
If the rail vehicle has several wheel sets which are monitored with the sliding or anti-skid devices described above, a speed comparison between the monitored wheel sets can be carried out in a simple manner. In Fig. 3 a particularly advantageous circuit for such a speed comparison between two wheelsets with the components of interest for this is shown, the parts belonging to the anti-slip or anti-skid device of one wheelset being marked with '.
The two poles 9 and 9 'of the alternators 1 and 1' are directly connected to each other, while the poles of the capacitors 7 and 7 'facing the diodes 5 and 5' via Zener diodes 83 and 83 'as a current bridge to one another similarly to one off DC conductor 85 are connected.
If the wheelsets are monitored by Schleuderschutzvorrich lines according to Fig. 1, so with a slight, leading to no response of the anti-skid device in question, one of the wheelsets whose alternator 1 or l 'rotates faster than that of the other wheelset and generates one accordingly higher peak voltage.
As soon as the difference between the peak voltages of the two alternators 1 and l 'and thus the charging of their capacitors 7 and 7' exceeds the Zener voltage of the Zener diodes 83 and 83 ', a current flow from the higher charged capacitor 7 and 7' to another, lower charged capacitor 7 'or 7.
The higher charged capacitor 7 or 7 'is also discharged in addition to the discharge path, so that stronger kere, a response of the anti-skid device in the manner already described causing charging current pulses are caused by the faster rotating alternating current generator 1 or 1'.
If the wheelsets are provided with anti-skid devices as shown in FIG. 2, a current flow from the higher charged capacitor 7 and 7 'across the current bridge to the lower is set at a corresponding, small speed deviation between the Wech selstromgeneratoren 1 and 1' during braking as described above charged capacitor 7 'or 7 a.
This current flow causes on the lower charged capacitor 7 'or 7 a voltage that exceeds the peak voltage of the alternator 1' or 1 assigned to it, so that the charging current pulses are absent from the wheel slide protection device in question and the latter is triggered.
To the poles 9 and 9 'and to the compensating conductor 85, further sliding or anti-skid devices can be connected in the manner shown, d. H. a speed comparison between many wheelsets is possible, please include.
The Zener diodes 83 and 83 'can be replaced by VDR resistors or simple resistors when the speed comparison device becomes somewhat more effective.
As a modification of the speed comparison device, it is also possible to rectify and smooth the voltages supplied by the alternators 1 and 1 'via a separate device (not shown) and to connect them to one another via a current bridge separate from the sliding or anti-skid devices. Switching elements can then be provided,
which respond when a current flow occurs in the current bridge independently of the sliding or anti-skid devices and, for example, show the speed difference between the wheelsets.
