<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Fastening element for heating radiators The present invention relates to a fastening element for heating radiators, and in particular for column radiators: in central heating systems.
Various types of heating radiator fastenings are known. Usually, dowels to be walled into the wall are used, into which a first part of a holder, which mostly also serves as a spacer element, is screwed. With this one part of this holder, the clamping element acting on the front side of the radiator is then connected or
screwed. In order to prevent the annoying walling in, there has recently also been a move towards using expansion dowels, specifically so-called claw expansion dowels. The actual fastening of the radiator remains the same.
The present invention aims at the creation of an even simpler fastening element for radiators, in which in particular the anchoring of the expansion dowel or sleeve and the actual clamping or fastening of the radiator takes place by tightening a single screw.
According to the invention, the fastening element is characterized by an expansion sleeve, one end of which is to be anchored in the wall, while the refurbished end is designed as a stop for the rear of the radiator, and by a clamping member serving as a stop for the front of the radiator , .that is arranged for forced entrainment on a screw that can be screwed into the latter to expand the sleeve,
the tightening of this screw simultaneously clamps the radiator between the two stops.
The expansion sleeve and the clamping member can be made of plastic. An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. It shows: Fig.l a complete fastening element for radiators, seen from above and partially, in section, and FIG. 2 a partial view of the element according to FIG. 1 from the side.
The fastening element shown in the drawing basically consists of three parts, namely an expansion sleeve 1, a clamping element 2 and a screw 3. The two parts 1 and 2 are injection-molded from plastic, for example, while the screw 3, a long wood screw, is usually made of metal eats.
The cylindrical shaft 4 of the expansion sleeve 1 is provided with a longitudinal bore 5, which has a steadily decreasing or at least smaller diameter than in the rest of the part 6 of the sleeve 1 to be anchored in a bore in a wall (not shown) of the sleeve 1. The part 6 or sleeve 1 to be anchored lies on the left side of an annular collar 7 intended to rest on the wall.
The collar 7 has consisted of one piece since (the sleeve 1). Instead of the annular collar 7, other outwardly projecting stop members located in a radial plane could also be provided.
The part 6 of the sleeve to be anchored in the hand has a number of circumferential ribs 8 which improve adhesion. Furthermore, two diametrically opposite longitudinal slots 9 are provided, which guarantee good expansion of the sleeve when driving or screwing the screw 3 into the sleeve 1.
The right end of the sleeve 1 is used as a stop 10 for the rear of the radiator to be attached

(not shown) or for two adjacent columns (this radiator is designed. The stop 10 has an outwardly curved plate 11 with a rectangular surface, which is supported by two ribs 12, 13 on the shaft of the sleeve 1 :. .
In this context, it should also be mentioned that the collar 7 is at a precisely predetermined distance from the stop 10. This defines the distance that the radiator to be attached will have from the wall after it has been installed.
The clamping member 2 consists of a sleeve-like guide 14, which is provided with a bore 15 for fitting onto the screw 3 and which rests on the head 16 of the screw 3 at the one (right) end. The other end of the clamping member 2 facing the sleeve 1 is also designed as a stop 17, the stop surface of which is curved to the left,
rectangular plate 18 similar to the stop 10 by means of ribs 19, 20 ian the guide 14: is supported.
When screwing in or tightening the screw 3, the sleeve 1 is injected and anchored in the hole in the wall, and at the same time the clamping element 2 is inevitably carried along until a radiator or two of its pillars are clamped between the two stops 10 and 17.
The dimensions, such as B. the length of the part to be anchored 6 of the expansion sleeve 1, the distance between the collar 7 and the stop 10 and the length of the screw 3, can be designed according to the needs.
In principle, it would also be possible to design the sleeve 1 or its part serving as a spacer as a bracket.
