Electrical control device for multi-stage extraction turbine The invention of the main patent No. 392 558 relates to an electrical control device for keeping two of at least three variable variables constant, which control the operation of an extraction turbine, in which an inlet valve controls the inflow to the turbine and an overflow valve controls the flow of one Regulates intermediate stage to a subsequent stage of the turbine,
and in which one device generates an electrical speed signal as a function of the turbine shaft speed and another device generates a pressure signal. That invention is characterized in that a first channel generates the speed signal and a second channel generates the pressure signal as a function of the pressure in the extraction line, that a first servomechanism has a first valve position sensing device,
which is connected to the first channel and controls the input valve depending on the speed signal, and has a second servo mechanism of a second valve position sensing device, which is connected to the second channel and controls the overflow valve as a function of the pressure signal, and that a circuit controls the connects the first and the second channel with each other, and the rotation signal changes by the pressure signal and vice versa, if a signal that is in,
one or in both channels requires a simultaneous change in that valve position controlled by the other channel, multiple adjustments being made to the arrangement at the same time in order to keep two of the three or more variable quantities constant regardless of changes in turbine demand .
The present additional invention relates to a further embodiment of the control device protected by the main patent, which is characterized in that the circuit connecting the first and second channels contains switching means which respond to one of the two valves being in a predetermined position. takes, and which are intended to
on the one hand to prevent the influencing of the signal controlling the other valve and on the other hand to establish a signal path via which the signal controlling the other valve is influenced by an additional control signal when responding.
The measure of this additional invention has the purpose of increasing the flexibility and the reliability of the control and to enable even greater accuracy and response speed.
An exemplary embodiment of the control device according to the invention will be described below with reference to the drawing.
1A and 1B form the two halves of a block diagram of the control device, which are to be put together according to the sketch in FIG.
The control device shown is intended to cooperate with a turbine of the type shown in Fig. 2 of the main patent.
1A and 1B show the block diagram of the control device, with the speed sensor 62, the pressure sensor 68 and the corresponding servomechanisms 76 and 78.
The turbine shaft influences the speed sensor 62, which generates a sinusoidal output voltage, the amplitude of which is proportional to the speed. This encoder can, for example, by a; Permanent magnet dynamo of known design are formed. Is z.
B. used a generator with 14 poles or seven Polpaa ren, the frequency of the output voltage is seven times the number of revolutions per second on the turbine shaft. At a speed of 3600 per minute, i. H. 60 per second, the frequency of the voltage output by the speed sensor 62 is 420 Hz.
The AC output voltage of the speed encoder 62 is fed to both the speed setting circuit 104 and the power supply circuit 106.
In order to understand the operation of the power supply circuit 106, it should be noted that the output voltage of the speed sensor 62 is used to supply the electrical circuits. Of course, this voltage is only generated when the turbine shaft is rotating. As long as this shaft is not rotating, the circuit 106 provides for the supply of the circuits from the alternating current network 200 for the initial start-up of the regulating device.
The circuit 106 itself is preferably by a voltage stepped down from the mains voltage, eg. B. is fed with 24 V / 60 Hz. An auxiliary supply device 108 is also connected to the circuit 106, which generates a stabilized direct voltage of -f- 30 V,
and another such power supply 110 with a stabilized output voltage of -14 V; These devices represent the necessary auxiliary voltage sources for the various circuits of the control system.
The speed setting circuit 104 generates an output voltage from which is essentially the frequency of the output voltage of the speed sensor 62 per proportional. The adjustment knob 116 is used to control a potentiometer for the purpose of setting a reference voltage with which the changes in the turbine speed or the relevant signal voltage are compared.
A maximum value of the adjustable reference voltage can be set with the help of a button 114 on a corresponding potentiometer, which value limits the speed of the unloaded turbine.
A maximum load setting is provided by means of a further potentiometer with setting knob 112, whereby a maximum value of the positive output voltage of the circuit 104 is determined. This potentiometer 112 thus limits the degree of opening of the inlet valve and the overflow valve with regard to changes in the rotational speed of the turbine shaft and the load, regardless of the setting of buttons 114 and 116.
Another setting knob 116, which is provided with a remote drive 118 for the purpose of remote setting, controls a corresponding potentiometer which is used to set a specific speed when the turbine is not loaded. After the turbine has been synchronized to an electrical supply network, the desired turbine load is set on the button.
The speed setting circuit 104 is designed so that its DC output voltage decreases as the turbine speed increases.
The output voltage of the circuit 104 is fed via the line 201 to one input of the VI adding circuit 122 (V1 = input valve). The circuit 122 can be formed by a suitable control amplifier or a passive resistor network in conjunction with a direct current amplifier.
The second input to adder 122 via line 202 is explained further below.
The output of circuit 104 is also fed to a load limit display circuit 124. The function of this circuit is to indicate whether or not the output of circuit 104 is limited due to the potentiometer setting on knob 112; H. whether the output voltage would be greater in the absence of such a limitation. In the event that such a limitation is actually in effect, the circuit 124 triggers a signal such as the lighting of a lamp.
The output of circuit 104 is finally fed via line 106 (d) to one input of V2 adder circuit 150, the mode of operation of which is explained below.
The channel of the pressure signal emanates from the sensor 68 for the pressure in the branch line (extraction line) of the turbine, which sensor is preferably formed by a Bourdon tube manometer in connection with a differential transformer, which emits a signal proportional to the pressure in the extraction line of the turbine .
The output of the pressure transmitter 68 is fed by a 2.5 kHz signal generated by the oscillator and square-wave generator 126. The stage 128 is a signal adjustment and modulator circuit, in which the output signal of the pressure transducer 68 is related to a zero signal by an Ab equal network.
The output of the circuit 128 forms a signal with the frequency of the oscillator 126, modulated with a quantity which is a function of the deviation of the pressure in the branch line from the zero pressure. In the pressure transducer 68 a rough adjustment is made in order to obtain approximately the voltage value zero at a desired base or zero pressure. The circle 128 then serves to fine-tune the voltage to zero at the aforementioned zero pressure. This zero voltage is preferably obtained at the maximum value provided for the removal pressure.
The output of circuit 128 and the square-wave signal of generator 126 are fed to amplifier-demodulator circuit 130. The output of circuit 128 is amplified in the amplifier stage of circuit 130. The square-wave signal of generator 126 is then mixed with the amplified output signal derive a signal resulting from a deviation from the selected zero pressure; this derived signal contains a direct current component.
The signal is then filtered so that a rectified signal appears at the output of the circuit 130, which signal is characteristic of the deviation of the pressure from the zero pressure.
A pressure setting potentiometer, controlled by the setting knob 132, is used to set a voltage which represents the desired pressure which is to prevail in the sampling line. Of course, this pressure cannot exceed the zero pressure originally selected.
Instead of a rectifier, an amplitude limiter demodulator is used in circuit 130 to ensure that the rectified output signal of circuit 130 changes sign when the pressure rises above the selected zero pressure. In this case, a negative output voltage occurs at the output of circuit 130.
The output of the amplifier-demodulator circuit 130 and the setting of the potentiometer 132 are given via the lines 202 and 203 to the first and the second input of the pressure-adding circuit 134, which is connected from a suitable control amplifier or a passive resistance network with a Gleichstromver stronger.
The third input of the adder 134 is formed by the line 204, which is fed back from the setting network 136 and preferably carries a bias voltage for the DC amplifier in the adder 134, which gives the adder a limiter characteristic. The effect of this preload is that an upper limit is set for the flow in the extraction line. This is achieved by limiting the voltage level to the corresponding maximum value.
A rectified voltage appears at the output of the pressure adding circuit 134, which means the deviation from zero pressure selected on the pressure setting button and also a flow limit value which does not exceed a certain maximum value. The circle 134 preferably also sees a limit, the pressure maximum, i. H. of the set zero pressure. This is achieved by a circuit which has the effect that when the pressure rises above zero pressure, the output signal from the circuit 134 disappears.
The setting network 136 has a first output, which leads via the line 205 to the VI-extraction-adding circuit 138 and contains the signal voltage from the output of the pressure-adding circuit 134. A second output (line 204) contains the algebraic sum of the voltage at the output of the circuit 134 and a voltage set at the potentiometer 140. Which sum voltage is carried to the third input of the pressure-adding circuit 134 and, as mentioned, to limit the flow is used in the extraction line.
A third output line e leads to the V2 adding circuit 150 and in turn contains the output voltage of the pressure adding circuit 134. A fourth output line f, which also leads to an input of the V2 adding circuit 150, contains a dormant, adjustable on a potentiometer using button 141 Voltage, which the forward or
the initial position of the overflow valve in relation to the inlet valve is determined. This voltage can be increased considerably by turning the potentiometer setting knob 142 into the economy position, as a result of which the overflow valve V2 opens strongly.
The adjusting knob 142 controls two potentiometers in synchronism, namely the economy potentiometer and a pressure regulator on-off potentiometer. The positions of the latter are indicated by the signal lamps 144 and 146 and the position of the economy potentiometer is indicated by the lamp 148. Pressure regulator on means a relatively closed position and pressure regulator off means a relatively open position of the overflow valve. The economy mode is only used if the withdrawal or the pressure in the withdrawal line is not to be regulated.
The synchronous coupling of the. with the potentiometer ensures this situation.
The V2 adder 150, which can be formed by a suitably sized control amplifier or by a passive resistor network in conjunction with a DC amplifier, who supplied the two inputs, namely the above-mentioned third and fourth output of the adjustment network 136 via the line e and f, and also the output of the speed setting circuit 104 on line 206 (d).
The output of the V2 adding circuit 150 is a DC voltage which indicates the desired position of the overflow valve V2 (211). The voltage is the combination of three components, namely he least the output of the speed setting circuit 104, which specifies a desired speed and the deviation from this speed, secondly the output of the pressure adding circuit 134, which is a desired one, transmitted through the setting network 136 Pressure in, the sampling line and the deviation from this pressure, and thirdly a signal from the setting network 136, which the initial position or
indicates the flow of the overflow valve in relation to the position of the inlet valve.
The output of the V2 adder 150 is fed via the line 220 to a switching circuit 152, which only under certain conditions. Emits output signal. As long as the power supply circuit 106 is still fed by the auxiliary power source when the turbine is started, the switching circuit 152 is still blocked by a corresponding signal from circuit 106.
When the speed reaches a certain value and therefore the circuit 106 switches from the auxiliary power source to the supply from the speed sensor, the switching circuit 152 enables part of the output from the V2 adder circuit 150 to be transferred from the line 220 the line c and thus to the input of the VI extraction adder circuit 138. The output of the circuit 150 thus appears at the second input of the VI extraction adder circuit 138.
A further necessary condition for the output signal of the V2 adding circuit 150 to pass through the switching circuit 152 is that the overflow valve is in or below a selected position. This selected position is determined by the action of the withdrawal limit trigger circuit 154.
The mode of operation of the VI adding circuit 122 can now be explained. As can be seen, the output of the speed setting circuit 104 and the output of the V1 extraction and adder circuit 138 are applied to its inputs. The latter is the sum of a value proportional to the output of the pressure adder circuit 134 Voltage and a voltage proportional to the output of the V2 adding circuit <B> 150 </B> when the speed exceeds the mentioned value.
Below this speed value, the output of the VI extraction adder circuit 138 is zero. Above this value, the output voltage of circuit 138 may or may not be zero. Thus, the output voltage of the V1 adder 122 is composed of two components, namely firstly a voltage which indicates the set speed and the deviation therefrom and secondly a voltage which means the pressure in the extraction line and the deviation from this pressure.
In order to understand the mode of operation of the switching circuit 152, it should be noted that this circuit is not effective as long as the overflow valve is in an open position, so that the only input to the Vl-extraction adding circuit 138, which is via the setting network 136 from the output of the pressure adding circuit 134 is effective.
When the overflow valve V2 (211) assumes the closed position, the withdrawal limiting trigger circuit 154 brings the switching circuit 152 into effect, whereby the output of the V2 adding circuit 150 reaches the input of the VI withdrawal adding circuit 138. Since the circuit 150 contains a direct current amplifier with 180 phase shift, the pressure component at the second input of the circuit 138 has the opposite sign as at the first input (line 205).
Since the pressure components at both inputs are practically the same size, the output of the Vl-extraction adder circuit 138, when the flow valve is closed, is zero in terms of pressure, so that the output at the adder circuit 138 in this case is only the speed - reproduces components at its inputs, which are derived from the speed setting circuit 104 and from the output of the V2 adder circuit 150.
The lead component at the output of the V2 adding circuit 150 is eliminated by a setting in the switching circuit 152. With this arrangement, the turbine speed is therefore no longer influenced by the pressure when; which has assumed the closed position via the flow valve.
In contrast, there is now an increased dependence of the output of the Vl adder 122 on the output of the speed setting circuit 104 in order to maintain the desired load-dependent speed regulation of the turbine. The trigger circuit 154 preferably consists of a relay-controlled voltage comparison circuit.
The output of the VI adder 122 is fed to a servo mechanism 76. It arrives at one input of the error adder circuit 155, which can be formed by a passive resistor network in conjunction with a direct current amplifier or by a control amplifier which has a high gain and causes 180 phase shift.
The output of the error adding circuit 155 reaches the DC amplifier 156. This preferably has a high gain and sufficient output power to drive the motor drive of the servo valve 158 to control.
If a motor drive with push-pull coils is used, a corresponding symmetrical output at the DC amplifier 156 is required. However, if the coils of the motor drive are connected in parallel, the DC amplifier 156 only needs to have a simple output.
The servo valve can be of the usual type with a vertical drive shaft and one or two drive windings. A four-way type can be used, to which oil is supplied under high pressure as the working medium and which controls the hydraulic servo piston 160. The flow through the servo valve 158 is proportional to the output current of the amplifier 156. The servo piston 160 is selected to be so large that it can apply the adjusting force to control the plunger of the inlet valve 210.
The position and speed of movement of the servo piston 160 is converted into a corresponding voltage in the feedback transformer 162. The transformer 162 can be designed in a known manner with variable reluctance, with a magnetic tappet influencing the inductance of two winding halves depending on its position. The transformer is fed by an oscillator 164 and emits an alternating voltage.
The closed position of the servo piston 160 corresponds to the fully closed valve position plus any backlash in the transmission mechanism between the piston and valve.
The alternating voltage output by feedback transformer 162 is amplified and demodulated in amplifier / demodulator stage 166. This stage naturally contains an AC amplifier. The demodulator contains a filter and can consist of a rectifier or a phase detector, which converts the alternating current signal into a direct voltage that corresponds exactly to the position of the servo piston 160.
The arrangement is such that the output of stage 166 is opposite in sign to the output of VI adder 122. The overall gain of stage 166 is also dimensioned so that its output is equal to the amount. the output of circuit 122 is.
In the error adding circuit 155, the rectified outputs of circuit 155 and stage 166 are added. An output of the adding circuit 155 therefore means an error signal which brings about the adjustment of the position of the input valve V1 until the valve position corresponds exactly to the output voltage of the V1 adding circuit.
The individual circles and components of the control circuit 76 are dimensioned so that an appropriate voltage of, for example, 5 V corresponds to the entire adjustment path of the servo piston 160, that is to say the path from the closed position to the open position of the piston.
The control circuit for the servomechanism 76 is provided in order to track the position of the valve, in this case the input valve V1, exactly to the value of the respective output voltage of the V1 adding circuit 122, regardless of the opposing forces acting on the valve stem. It is clear that these forces are considerable. and are in the order of magnitude of several <B> 1000 </B> kg.
Furthermore, areas of strong negative force gradients can also occur.
The servomechanism 76 with position feedback ensures accurate valve setting regardless of the strength and non-linearity of the reaction forces.
In an analogous manner, the output of the V2 adding circuit 150 is fed to the servomechanism 78 or the first input to the error adding circuit 167 in the channel of the pressure signal, the output of which passes into the direct current amplifier 168. The output of the DC amplifier 168 feeds the drive coils of a servo valve 170.
This controls the flow of oil to the hydraulic servo piston 172, which is connected to the plunger of the overflow valve V2 (211). Here, as in the case of the inlet valve, the oil flow is proportional to the output current of the booster 168. The piston 172 is dimensioned such that it applies the force required to adjust the overflow valve.
Changes in the position and speed of movement of the servo piston 172 with respect to an initial position (preferably the closed position) and corresponding adjustments of the overflow valve V2 result in an output voltage of the feedback transformer 174 that is proportional to the position and adjustment speed of the overflow valve.
The output alternating voltage of the transformer 174, which is also fed by the oscillator 164, is amplified and demodulated in the stage 176 and then filtered in order to eliminate the alternating current component. The rectified output signal of the amplifier-demodulator stage 176 then reaches the second input of the error Adding circle 167.
The type and dimensioning of the elements of the control loop 78 can be analogous to those of the control loop 76, so that the two control loops, in accordance with the similar purpose, function in the same way.
If, under certain operating conditions, there is a low pressure in the extraction line and a low turbine load, the switching circuit 152 is brought into effect via the trigger circuit 154. It is then, because the operating limits resulting from the turbine dimensions have been reached, no longer possible to regulate both the speed and the pressure. The device described is now used to give preference to speed control over pressure control.
If, on the other hand, the pressure control should primarily be retained (for example in cases where the turbine load is given by a generator that works on a large electrical network and the speed therefore remains practically constant, while the load on the generator can vary within wide limits) , so similar switching means as the switching circuit 152 and the trigger circuit 154 would have to be provided,
In this case, however, for example, the output of the V 1 adding circuit 122 would have to be routed to an input of the adding circuit 138 and the output of the latter as an additional input to the V2 adding circuit 150 via this switching means.
