Description

Thermal and soundproof coverings, especially for the interior decoration of buildings. There are protective coverings which are used laminated on foam, for example textile fabrics fixed on foam, which are used as wall coverings, ceiling coverings, as carpet bases, etc. All the known Wandbe layers have hygroscopic surfaces or, for example PVC, are hermetically sealed. They therefore do not allow vapor diffusion from the inside of the covering, so that if condensation forms, water damage occurs in the covering.

The present invention aims to remedy this after part. The protective covering according to the invention is characterized by one or more rollable layers made of fully synthetic, open-pored foam and by at least one grating applied to the layer or the topmost layer.

The invention is then explained by way of example. The new heat and sound insulation covering consists of a fully synthetic open-cell foam, e.g. B. in the form of a mat, on the surface of which consists of an impregnated synthetic mesh fabric's second layer is arranged.

The two layers are advantageously impregnated with a flame-proof material, the impregnation compound simultaneously serving to fix the mesh fabric on the foam surface and thereby also fixing the individual threads of the mesh fabric to one another.

Polyester in particular serve as woven fabrics; Nylon as well as glass fibers, Trevira and other plastics as well as mineral fabrics or fibers.

The basic foam layer can, for example, have a thickness of 4 mm, while z. B. the applied nylon mesh fabric sits a mesh size of 1.5 mm with a thread thickness of 0.8 mm be. The network is advantageously square. Such a protective covering is extremely intensive in terms of heat retention and soundproofing, and it also has the good property of dissipating condensation water through diffusion into the room due to its porous composition and thus preventing condensation water damage in and on the walls.

In order to meet a much sought-after purpose, magnetizable metal in plate form, as threads, fabric, powder, gravel, slats, etc. can be provided between the foam and the mesh fabric or in the surface layer of the foam. This metal can be magnetized or non-magnetized. It allows any parts that contain ferromagnetic substances to be held, whereby in the first case the parts themselves do not have to be magnets. It is also possible to use a magnetic or magnetizable fabric instead of a plastic mesh fabric.
