Rotary duplicator for line and section printing of printing forms The invention relates to a rotary duplicator for line and section printing of printing forms attached to a printing drum with the lines in the axial direction with the help of a counter-pressure element which is controlled by a control element rotating synchronously with the printing drum is controllable with respect to the cooperation with the printing drum,
whereby in the drive transmission from the printing drum to the revolving control element, a stepping mechanism is provided, which can be actuated by one or more switch pins that can be pushed into the path of the switching pawl, where by the pivoting movement of the counter-pressure element controlled by the control element, either one or more lines per Printing drum rotation is displaceable compared to the printing form original.
With such rotary duplicators, it was necessary to have an automatic jump, which had to be set in the machine beforehand, be performed mechanically after the lines were printed. This had the great disadvantage that when printing sections of different sizes between the prints, it was necessary to adjust the line jump so that such an original could not be printed one after the other without adjusting the line jump.
In addition, it was previously necessary in the known machines of the above type, after printing an original and printing the last line by hand, the pressure control elements, z. B. line curves or contact arms, which umlau fen with the printing drum and were offset line by line when printing opposite her to pull up again. Not only was this cumbersome and wasted time, but it was also not foolproof as it was easy to forget to wind it up. In addition, when printing you did not know when the last line of the original was ready to be printed.
For example, in work preparation and in order and accounting, the originals have completely different numbers of lines. So the last line could e.g. B. be forgotten or a slip of paper is printed too many, ider: then no more lines were printed. The present invention overcomes these disadvantages.
According to the invention, this is done in that the lines or sections of the printing form are assigned registers, the number of which is either the size of the line transport of the control element to be carried out after printing or the number of drum revolutions for which the automatic line transport is suspended,
determined and by means of one or more scanning devices the stepping mechanism for the organs controlling the cooperation of the printing elements can be automatically controlled from the registrations of the printing form.
The arrangement can be such that from the path of the rotating stepping pawl of the Zeilentransportesnrichtung corresponding to the number of scanned registrations a number of switching elements, z. B. roles, can be pushed out by means of electromagnets.
According to a further development of the subject matter of the invention, for the last section to be printed, a registration on the original, preferably in the line space of the last section to be printed or the section following it, is provided. This registration is scanned with a photoelectric or mechanical scanning, the registration controlling a line winding device for the control element for the line print, which runs automatically from line to line.
With the line printing elements rotating with the printing drum, a likewise rotating switching cam is expediently firmly connected, which, according to the line-by-line offset of the pressure control elements with respect to the printing drum, comes into effect at different times on an electrical switch, whereby a holding relay is actuated in preparation if a registration is available , which after completion of the printing drums circulation the automatic elevator device, z. B. electric clutch, to return the pressure control organs in action, sets.
When printing the last line from a printing form, the end of the original lines .bzw is advantageous at the same time through the registration for the elevator by lamp signals. the lift that has taken place is displayed.
In the drawings, the subject matter of the invention is shown schematically in exemplary embodiments. 1 shows a perspective view of the printing elements of a rotary duplicator with a block diagram for the repeat printing of the lines, FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of the printing elements with a block diagram for the automatic multi-line transport,
3 shows the side view of the main pressure and drive elements of a rotary multiplier with a block diagram for the elevator device with omission of both side walls, FIG. 4 shows a section A-B according to FIG. 3.
On the printing forme carrier 1, the printing forme 3 is clamped with its mirror writing to the outside by means of clamping device 2. The cam axis 7 is rotated synchronously with the printing form carrier 1 via the gears 4, 5 and 6. On ider curve axis 7 curves are attached, which are scanned by the roller 8 and bring the counter-pressure element 9 to the pressure on the printing plate carrier 1 via a linkage, not shown. On the curve axis 7 of the curves attached thereon, only the line cam 10 is shown.
This can be rotated by an indexing mechanism, of which only the pair of pawls 11, 12 is shown, in the circumferential direction against the arrow <B> A </B> that the line cam 10 later during the next working rotation of the printing forme carrier 1 moves against the roller 8 and thus the counter-pressure element 9 a line width later brings with the printing forme carrier 1 in contact.
To set up the Rotationsvervielf'ältigers ge also hear a revolving contact arm 13 connected to the line cam 10, a photoelectric scanning device 14 with a lamp 15 and an electronic pulse counter 16. In the present example, a three-digit pulse counter has been selected, d. H. a maximum of three prints can be made from each line. The characters required for the repeat printing on the printing forme 3 can be applied in the simplest way with any typewriter without any adjustment of the lines.
Those lines from which only a print is to be made are not given a character in the marking column 17. Those lines from which two prints are required are indicated by a two-digit character, e.g. B. by the equal sign (=), (see line 3, Fig. 1 and 2), and for three prints a three-digit, z. B. the equal sign and the underscore (-) are required (see lines 6 and 9 of FIGS. 1 and 2).
This device works as follows: The cam 10 has been set in such a way that: it brings the 1st cell of the printing forme 3 to the imprint. The printing form carrier 1 begins to rotate in the direction of the arrow B and synchronously takes the cam 10 and the contact arm 13 with it via the gears 4, 5 and 6 and the cam axis 7. If the contact arm nail 18 drives over the fixed contact 19, the lamp 15 lights up when the marking field 17 of the 1st line is located under the photoelectric A'btasteinrichtung 14.
Since the photoelectric scanning device 14 scans no Markie tion, the state of the counter 16 remains unchanged, namely 000 (non-conductive, non-conductive, non-conductive) and thus the circuit to the step magnet 20 and to the lamp 15. Consequently, also the Switching roller 21 in its switching position. Then the cam 22 closes the limit switch 23, but this has no effect on the state of the counter 16, since it is still in state 000.
The switching pawl 11 now runs over the switching roller 21, while the cam 10 and contact arm 13 are transported by one step against the direction of arrow A via a known indexing mechanism. This step corresponds to a line width on the circumference of the printing form carrier 1. The machine is thus back in its starting position and ready to print the second line. The process described above is repeated again, since there is also no character in the marking field 17 of the 2nd line.
During the 3rd cycle of the printing form carrier 1, the lamp 15 illuminates the marking field 17 of the line 3. The photoelectric scanning device 14 passes the two recorded pulses on to the counter 16 via a amplifier 5, which now changes to the displayed value LLO (conductive, conductive, non-conductive), the circuit to the step magnet 20 being interrupted via the amplifier 6 through the information LLO and via the amplifier 27 likewise through the information LLO to the lamp 15. The return spring 24 brings the pulley 21 out of the path of the pawl 11. The 1.
Print sheet for line 3 runs through print line C-D, and the third line is printed. The cam 22 closes the limit switch 23, and this current pulse sets the counter 16 back by one position, that is to say to L00. This means that a counter position is still at L and step magnet 20 and lamp 15 are still de-energized when the machine moves into the starting position. .Kurvennocken 10 and contact arm 18 have not changed their position to the circumferential direction. The 2nd print sheet for line 3 is created and the machine is released for circulation again.
The lamp 15 illuminates the marking field 17; the line 3 not, so that the counter 16 cannot yet receive a new pulse. The cam 10 prints line 3 on the 2nd deduction slip. The cam 22 closes the limit switch 23 again, whereby the counter 16 is set to the state 000. The circuit to the step magnet 20 is closed again via the amplifier 26, and with extraction of the return. Holfeder 24 moves the pulley 21 into the path of the pawl 11.
Before the machine moves into the starting position, the stepping mechanism lets the cam 10 with contact arm 13 jump one step. The cam 10 is ready to print the 4th line and also the con tact arm 13 to illuminate the marking field 17 on the line 4, because this circuit has been connected to the amplifier 27 again. The processes for unmarked lines are now repeated as described for line 1, un.i for the marked lines as described for line 4.
The structure and mode of operation of most of the components of the rotary manifold shown in FIG. 2 correspond to those of the one described in FIG. 1.
The characters applied to the printing forme 3 in the marking column 17, however, serve to transport the line cam 10 in the direction of the arrow A, and the number of characters applied per line determines how many steps the Line cam 10 jumps back, one step corresponding to a line on the printing forme 3. About the elements described in Fig. 1, such as curve axis 7, contact arm 13, .Kontaktnagel 15, fixed contact 19, lamp 15 and photoelectric scanning device 14 from the counter 16, z.
B. when the lamp 15 flashes, while the 3rd line is passing by the scanning device 14 to the value LLO, as shown. The conduction of a counter shaft closes the circuit to the transport magnets 30 and 31 via the amplifiers 28 and 29, which bring their armature with the transport rollers 32 and 33 into the plane of the pawl 11.
After line 3 has been printed, the pawl 11 moves before reaching the starting position of the printing form carrier 1 over the transport rollers 32 and 33 and the step switching mechanism and, in a known manner, leaves the line 10 two lines in the direction of the arrow <B> Ä </ B> jump. The cam 22 closes the limit switch 23, the counter 16 being set to the value 000. The circuit to .den transport magnets 30 and 31 is interrupted, and the return springs 34 and 35 bring the transport rollers 32 and 33 back into the starting position.
The rotary duplicator has reached its starting position and is ready to print the 5th line of printing forme 3.
In these versions, however, it does not matter whether the automatic line transport is purely mechanical or electromechanical, e.g. B. by rotary selector, is performed.
Of course, the arrangement can also be made so that the machine is normally switched to a single-line mechanical transport, as was previously known with the machines, and the number of registrations given on the printing forme the line steps to be carried out in addition to (the basic line transport indicates.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, the printing forme carrier 201 receives its rotation via a single-turn clutch, not shown, from the continuously rotating drive, which is formed by interlocking gears 202, 203 and 204 and the pulley 205. The latter is rotated by a motor, also not shown.
On the drive shaft 206, on which the gear wheel 204 and the belt pulley 205 are attached, a chain raid 207 is also firmly attached, which is connected to the elevator coupling 209 via a cage 208. On the other side of the machine frame, the elements for generating the counter-pressure are attached in the example shown. The gear wheel 211 fastened to the shaft 210 of the printing form carrier 201 engages in the intermediate gear 212, which in turn meshes with the gear wheel 213 on the cam axis 214.
Synchronously with the printing forme carrier 201, the cam axis 214 with the cams attached to it is rotated to generate the section and line pressure.
In the drawings, only one line curve 215 which is adjustable in the circumferential direction is shown, the cams 216 of which bring the counterpressure roller 218 to press against the printing forme carrier 201 via a linkage (not shown) when running against the feeler roller 217.
The line curve 215, to which the contact arm 224 is firmly attached, is adjusted via a known indexing mechanism, of which the main elements, such as the step pawl 219, the switching pawl 220, the ratchet wheel 221, the spiral spring 222 and the cam flange 223 are shown are.
From the gear wheel 225 attached to the cam flange 223, the line curve 215 is brought back to the starting position shown in Fig. 3 in the following way via the intermediate wheel 226 and the coupling wheel 28 fastened on the coupling shaft 227 be: By triggering the on the drive side of the Machine arranged one-turn clutch, the printing plate carrier 201 is set in motion by the motor via the belt pulley 205 and the gears 204, 203 and 202 in the direction of the arrow E.
The cam axis 214 driven by the gears 211, 212 and 213 thus also rotates in the direction of the arrow F. The ratchet wheel 221 with the line cam 215 and the contact arm 224 is taken along with the step pawl 219 attached to the gear wheel 213. The contact pin 229 meets the stationary contact nail 230 and closes the circuit to the lamp 232 via the sliding contact 231.
This lights up when the scanning field of the 1st line of the printing form original 233 passes under the scanning field of the photocell 234. Since no sign is attached to this field, the voltage state of the photocell 234 remains unchanged, so that the electronic switch 235 does not receive a pulse either.
When the cam 216 runs up against the feeler roller 217, the counterpressure element 218 is brought to the printing form carrier 201 via known switching means, and the printing form original 233 is imprinted on the print sheet 238 transported by the feed rollers 236 and 237 to the printing line G-H.
Shortly before the printing forme carrier 201 has completed one revolution, switching means act on the pawl 220, whereby the stepping elements move the line curve 215 with the contact arm 224 by one or more steps that correspond to the same or the line lengths on the original 233, Jump against the direction of the arrow F.
After completion of this stepping movement, a cam 239 closes the switch 240, but the resulting pulse cannot be passed on to the amplifier 242 because the electronic switch 235 was not prepared by the photo cell 234.
Now the printing forme carrier 201 is back in its starting position and line curve 215 and contact arm 224 offset by one line against the direction of rotation. During the next round of the printing form carrier 201, the contact pin 229 only hits the contact nail 230 when line 2 is below the scanning field of the photocell 234, and causes the lamp 232 to flash. The process described for line 1 is now repeated.
This also applies to the following lines, until the lamp 232 illuminates a marking field with an applied character 241. The voltage state of the photocell 234 changes, and this pulse is sent via the amplifier 243 to the electronic switch 235, which is then prepared. The pulse of the closed switch 240 now goes through the electronic switch 235 and the amplifier 242 to the relay 244, whose contact sets 245, 246 and 247 are closed.
The closed contact set 245 causes the relay to hold itself, and via the contact set 246 the circuit to the magnetic coupling 209 is closed. The drive part 209a of the coupling 209 is rotated via the chain 208 by the chain wheel 207 arranged on the continuously running drive shaft 206.
The drive part 209b is carried along with the coupling shaft 227 by the adhesive effect. The coupling wheel 228 fastened thereon drives the gear wheel 225 in the direction of arrow F via the intermediate wheel 226, until the contact arm 224 opens the switch 248. At the same time, a control lamp 249 lights up red above the closed contact set 247, indicating that no new print sheet 238 should be placed on the feed rollers 236 and 237, since the machine is not ready to be triggered due to the winding of the curves 215.
The circuits to the coupling 209 via the contact set 250 and to the relay 244 via the con tact set 251 are interrupted by actuating the switch 248. The adhesive effect of the coupling 209 ceases and the driven part 209b with the shaft 227 no longer rotates. The line curve 215 with the contact arm 224 has returned to its starting position and is ready to print the 1st line.
The contact sets 245, 246 and 247 are opened again by the interruption of the circuit to relay 244, so that the control lamp 249 goes out, but the contact set 252 is closed and the control lamp 253 lights up green, which indicates that: the machine is in its initial position shown in FIG. 1 has returned, so that the printing forme carrier 201 is ready for changing the printing forme 233.
