Diffuseur d'arôme La présente invention a pour objet un diffuseur d'arôme, comprenant une coupelle et utilisant une source lumineuse à lumière chaude, par exemple une ampoule électrique ou une lampe à pétrole, pour volatiliser un produit odoriférant, désodorisant, anti- septique ou insecticide.
Les diffuseurs d'arômes connus sont d'un em ploi malaisé car il est difficile de les détacher de la source lumineuse lorsqu'on ne désire plus les utiliser, et il est parfois nécessaire de démonter ladite source lumineuse s'il s'agit d'une ampoule électrique; si l'utilisateur, en outre, désire changer d'arôme, rem placer par exemple un insecticide par un parfum, il doit soit transvaser l'insecticide de la coupelle dans un récipient de stockage et nettoyer soigneusement la coupelle avant d'y introduire le parfum, soit uti liser un second diffuseur également muni de ses moyens de fixation sur la source lumineuse.
La présente invention a pour but de remédier à ces inconvénients et le diffuseur qui en fait l'objet est caractérisé en ce que la coupelle destinée à con tenir le produit à diffuser est indépendante de moyens élastiques permettant de la fixer sur la source lu mineuse.
Un tel agencement est particulièrement avanta geux, car il permet de laisser en permanence les moyens élastiques fixés sur la source lumineuse, que l'on désire ou non diffuser un arôme, et qu'il suffit, pour changer d'arôme, de remplacer sur la source lumineuse la coupelle contenant un arôme par une autre coupelle en contenant un autre, les coupelles non utilisées étant avantageusement fermées par un couvercle amovible pour éviter l'évaporation des arômes qu'elles contiennent. Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, quelques formes d'exécution du diffuseur d'arôme objet de l'invention, ainsi que des variantes.
La fig. 1 est une vue en élévation, avec coupe verticale partielle, de la première forme d'exécution utilisant, comme moyen de fixation, un ressort uni que enserrant le globe d'une ampoule électrique.
La fig. 2 est une vue en, plan correspondante. La fig. 3 montre, en coupe verticale partielle, la position du ressort de la fig. 1 lorsque l'ampoule électrique est disposée horizontalement, le porte-cou- pelle et la coupelle étant de forme différente, et une coupelle annulaire en forme de croissant étant dis posée sur le porte-coupelle.
La fig. 4 montre le montage du dispositif selon la fig. 3 lorsque la douille de l'ampoule électrique est dirigée vers le haut.
La fig. 5 est une vue en élévation avec coupe verticale partielle d'une variante utilisant comme moyen de fixation trois ressorts accrochés à une ron delle.
La fig. 6 montre, en élévation, le dispositif selon la fig. 5 monté sur une ampoule électrique disposée horizontalement.
La fig. 7 est une vue en élévation avec coupe verticale partielle montrant le montage de ce diffu seur sur le globe d'une lampe à pétrole.
Les fig. 8 et 9 montrent schématiquement le mon tage de ce diffuseur sur 1a cheminée d'une lampe à pétrole, respectivement sur une bougie.
La fig. <B>10</B> montre schématiquement la combinai son de ce diffuseur et d'un abat-jour.
La fig. 11 est une vue à plus grande échelle et en coupe verticale partielle de l'agencement repré senté à la fig. 10. La fig. 12 montre en coupe une variante de réalisation de ce dispositif.

La fig. 14 montre ce dispositif utilisé en inha lateur.
Le diffuseur d'arôme représenté se compose d'une coupelle métallique 1 destinée à contenir un produit à diffuser et de moyens permettant de la fixer sur la source lumineuse.
Lorsque la source lumineuse est une ampoule électrique, le fond 2 de cette coupelle est bombé de manière à épouser la courbure du globe 3 de l'am poule. Cette coupelle est maintenue en place grâce à un porte-coupelle 4 se présentant sous la forme d'un disque évidé en son centre 5 et bordé par une collerette 6, dont le diamètre est tel qu'elle puisse recevoir la coupelle, et présentant à sa périphérie trois crevés 7 régulièrement répartis coopérant avec la première spire d'un ressort 8 ; ce ressort est cali bré de façon à enserrer étroitement le globe de l'am poule en vue de maintenir énergiquement le porte- coupelle 4 en place.
A cet effet, ses spires médianes ont un diamètre sensiblement égal au diamètre maxi mum du globe de l'ampoule tandis que ses spires extrêmes ont un diamètre plus faible (fig. 1 à 4).
Ce ressort permet de fixer le porte-coupelle sur l'ampoule quelle que soit l'orientation de cette der nière; lorsque sa douille est dirigée vers le bas, ver ticalement ou non (fig. 1), ou orientée horizontale ment (fig. 3), la coupelle peut être cylindrique comme décrite plus haut; si au contraire le culot de l'am poule électrique est dirigé vers le haut, verticale ment ou non (fig. 4) ou horizontalement (fig. 3) la coupelle la est une gouttière annulaire, en forme de croissant pour que l'on puisse l'extraire en laissant le porte-coupelle 4 en place.
Pour faciliter la mise en place de la coupelle la et accroître son contact avec le porte-coupelle 4, la collerette 6 du porte-coupelle comprend une zone inférieure 6a conique prolongée par une seconde zone 6b cylindrique, et la paroi intérieure de la cou pelle la présente de ce fait un profil à pans coupés.
Lorsque la position de l'ampoule autorise l'usage de la coupelle cylindrique 1, on peut bien entendu lui adjoindre la coupelle annulaire la (fi,-. 3), per mettant ainsi la diffusion simultanée de deux arômes différents. Suivant une variante représentée aux fig. 5 et 6,
le porte-coupelle 4 peut être fixé sur l'ampoule élec trique par l'intermédiaire d'une rondelle 9 reliée élas- tiquement audit porte-coupelle par l'intermédiaire de trois ressorts 10 dont les extrémités 11 de chacun sont fixées côte à côte sur la rondelle 9 tandis que la boucle 12 est accrochée à l'un des crevés 7 du porte-coupelle et le globe 3 de l'ampoule est ainsi maintenu élastiquement entre la rondelle 9 et le porte-coupelle 4.
Ce diffuseur peut également être utilisé sur des sources d'éclairage non électriques ; c'est ainsi no- tamment qu'il peut équiper une lampe à essence, à pétrole ou à acétylène dont le globe 12 présente à sa partie supérieure un orifice; à cet effet, le porte- coupelle 4a est muni à sa partie inférieure de trois pattes 13 dont les extrémités sont conformées en pin ces 14 susceptibles d'enserrer la partie supérieure du globe 12 (fia. 7).
Lorsque ce diffuseur est destiné à équiper une lampe à pétrole munie d'une cheminée 15 (fig. 8) la coupelle est conformée en gouttière annulaire 16 dont le diamètre intérieur est légèrement supérieur à celui de la cheminée, et le porte-coupelle 17 est muni de moyens de serrage appropriés, permettant de le fixer sur la cheminée 15 au niveau choisi.
Lorsque cette coupelle est destinée à être utilisée sur une bougie (fig. 9), son porte-coupelle 18 com porte des pattes 19 enserrant la partie supérieure de la bougie ; ce montage est particulièrement recom mandé lorsque la bougie est du type à niveau cons tant, c'est-à-dire lorsqu'elle est montée dans un tube et sollicitée vers le haut par un ressort en fonction de son usure.
Le support de ce diffuseur peut être aisément transformé pour servir également au montage d'un abat-jour (fig. 10 et 11) ; pour combiner par exem ple un abat-jour avec le diffuseur décrit en référence à la fi,-. 1, l'anneau 20 sur lequel est montée la car casse de cet abat-jour est engagé autour de la colle rette 6 du :porte,cou.pelle 4 et est maintenu en place par la coupelle 1 dont la partie inférieure est munie d'une jupe 21 s'engageant sur ladite colle rette 6 et venant serrer l'anneau 20 (fig. 11).
Le porte-coupelle du diffuseur peut être fixé sur la source lumineuse par tous autres moyens, suivant la nature et la forme de cette source, et notamment par l'intermédiaire de barrettes courbes verticales, rigides ou souples, fixées à la coupelle ou à son sup port ; ce diffuseur pourrait également être combiné avec une source infrarouge ou ultraviolette, ou encore avec une résistance électrique montée sur douille du type lampe d'éclairage électrique.
La coupelle peut, en outre, présenter à sa base une gorge périphérique 22 (fig. 12) susceptible de coopérer avec la première spire du ressort des fig. 1 à 5, ou enfin être fixée sur le porte-coupelle par des moyens magnétiques 23 (fig. 13).
Le diffuseur décrit peut également être avanta geusement utilisé comme inhalateur (fig. 14). Il suf fit à cet effet de disposer dans la coupelle 1 les subs tances médicinales et de fixer le cornet 20 sur cette coupelle.
Il est toutefois indispensable de disposer entre la coupelle et le cornet une bague raccord 2.1 iso lante, .pour éviter que la grande chaleur de la cou pelle ne soit transmise par conduction au cornet.
Aroma diffuser The present invention relates to an aroma diffuser, comprising a cup and using a light source with warm light, for example an electric bulb or an oil lamp, to volatilize an odoriferous, deodorant, anti-septic product. or insecticide.
Known aroma diffusers are difficult to use because it is difficult to detach them from the light source when one no longer wishes to use them, and it is sometimes necessary to remove said light source if it is a question of 'an electric bulb; if the user, moreover, wishes to change the flavor, for example to replace an insecticide with a perfume, he must either transfer the insecticide from the cup into a storage container and carefully clean the cup before introducing the perfume, or use a second diffuser also provided with its means of attachment to the light source.
The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks and the diffuser which is the subject thereof is characterized in that the cup intended to contain the product to be diffused is independent of elastic means making it possible to fix it on the source read miner.
Such an arrangement is particularly advantageous, since it makes it possible to leave the elastic means permanently attached to the light source, whether or not it is desired to diffuse an aroma, and which suffices, in order to change aroma, to replace on the light source the cup containing an aroma by another cup containing another, the unused cups being advantageously closed by a removable cover to prevent evaporation of the aromas they contain. The appended drawing represents, by way of example, some embodiments of the aroma diffuser which is the subject of the invention, as well as variants.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view, with partial vertical section, of the first embodiment using, as fixing means, a united spring that encloses the globe of an electric bulb.
Fig. 2 is a corresponding plan view. Fig. 3 shows, in partial vertical section, the position of the spring of FIG. 1 when the electric bulb is disposed horizontally, the cup holder and the cup being of different shape, and an annular crescent shaped cup being disposed on the cup holder.
Fig. 4 shows the assembly of the device according to FIG. 3 when the socket of the light bulb faces upwards.
Fig. 5 is an elevational view in partial vertical section of a variant using as fixing means three springs attached to a washer.

The aroma diffuser shown consists of a metal cup 1 intended to contain a product to be diffused and of means making it possible to fix it on the light source.
When the light source is an electric bulb, the bottom 2 of this cup is curved so as to match the curvature of the globe 3 of the bulb. This cup is held in place by means of a cup holder 4 in the form of a disc hollowed out at its center 5 and bordered by a collar 6, the diameter of which is such that it can receive the cup, and having to its periphery three punctures 7 regularly distributed cooperating with the first turn of a spring 8; this spring is calibrated so as to tightly enclose the globe of the hen am in order to vigorously hold the cup holder 4 in place.
For this purpose, its median turns have a diameter substantially equal to the maximum diameter of the globe of the bulb, while its end turns have a smaller diameter (fig. 1 to 4).
This spring makes it possible to fix the cup holder on the bulb whatever the orientation of the latter; when its socket is directed downwards, vertically or not (fig. 1), or oriented horizontally (fig. 3), the cup may be cylindrical as described above; if, on the contrary, the base of the electric hen is directed upwards, vertically or not (fig. 4) or horizontally (fig. 3) the cup 1a is an annular gutter, in the shape of a crescent so that one can extract it, leaving the cup holder 4 in place.
To facilitate the installation of the cup 1a and increase its contact with the cup holder 4, the flange 6 of the cup holder comprises a conical lower zone 6a extended by a second cylindrical zone 6b, and the inner wall of the cup holder the present therefore a profile with cut sides.
When the position of the bulb allows the use of the cylindrical cup 1, it is of course possible to add the annular cup 1a (fi, -. 3) to it, thus allowing the simultaneous diffusion of two different aromas. According to a variant shown in FIGS. 5 and 6,
the cup holder 4 can be fixed to the electric bulb by means of a washer 9 elastically connected to said cup holder by means of three springs 10, the ends 11 of each of which are fixed side by side on the washer 9 while the loop 12 is hooked to one of the punctures 7 of the cup holder and the globe 3 of the bulb is thus held elastically between the washer 9 and the cup holder 4.
This diffuser can also be used on non-electric lighting sources; it is thus in particular that it can equip a gasoline, petroleum or acetylene lamp, the globe 12 of which has an orifice at its upper part; for this purpose, the cup holder 4a is provided at its lower part with three tabs 13, the ends of which are shaped as pine, these 14 capable of gripping the upper part of the globe 12 (fia. 7).
When this diffuser is intended to equip an oil lamp provided with a chimney 15 (fig. 8), the cup is shaped as an annular gutter 16, the inside diameter of which is slightly greater than that of the chimney, and the cup holder 17 is provided with appropriate clamping means, allowing it to be fixed to the chimney 15 at the chosen level.
When this cup is intended to be used on a candle (Fig. 9), its cup holder 18 carries legs 19 enclosing the upper part of the candle; this assembly is particularly recommended when the spark plug is of the constant level type, that is to say when it is mounted in a tube and stressed upwards by a spring according to its wear.
The support of this diffuser can be easily transformed to also be used for mounting a shade (fig. 10 and 11); to combine, for example, a lampshade with the diffuser described with reference to fi, -. 1, the ring 20 on which the broken bus of this lampshade is mounted is engaged around the glue 6 of the: door, shovel 4 and is held in place by the cup 1, the lower part of which is provided with 'a skirt 21 engaging on said rette glue 6 and tightening the ring 20 (Fig. 11).
The diffuser cup holder can be fixed to the light source by any other means, depending on the nature and shape of this source, and in particular by means of vertical curved bars, rigid or flexible, fixed to the cup or to its sup port; this diffuser could also be combined with an infrared or ultraviolet source, or else with an electrical resistance mounted on a socket of the electric lighting lamp type.
The cup may also have at its base a peripheral groove 22 (FIG. 12) capable of cooperating with the first turn of the spring of FIGS. 1 to 5, or finally be fixed on the cup holder by magnetic means 23 (Fig. 13).
The diffuser described can also be advantageously used as an inhaler (Fig. 14). It suffices for this purpose to arrange in the cup 1 the medicinal substances and to fix the horn 20 on this cup.
It is however essential to have an insulating 2.1 connection ring between the cup and the horn, to prevent the great heat from the cup from being transmitted by conduction to the horn.
