Circuit arrangement in self-dialing telephones with coin-operated telephones for local and long-distance traffic The invention relates to a circuit arrangement in self-dialing telephones with coin-operated telephones for local and long-distance traffic, in which the fee for long-distance calls in uniform amounts depends on the length of the voice connection (zone) Periods of time is charged (time pulse counting), and for which the use of the payphone is subject to a basic fee, the amount of which is different for local and long-distance calls.
In such telephone systems, it is necessary to enable a connection to be established only if the amount of money thrown in is at least equal to the sum of the basic fee and the call charge unit. With a uniform basic fee, this requirement can be met in a manner known per se in that a blocking diode in the payphone prevents the connection to the connection center until the required fee is paid and a contact from a money counter short-circuits the blocking diode. For systems with different, e.g. B. on the type of connection dependent basic fee, however, this circuit measure is not sufficient.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the fact that switching means in the control center mark the basic fee to be levied on the basis of the first dialing digits characterizing the type of connection and by means of a switching indicator transmitted over the subscriber line in the payphone, and that a control device in Pay phone checks the amount of money thrown in before the start of the election and prevents the connection build-up if this amount of money is less than the sum of the basic charge in question and the call charge unit. Two exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing.
When the microphone is picked up at the coin operated telephone station, the GU contact switches the coin operated telephone through to the control center. In the now closed line circuit, the normal current of the control center flows from the + pole of the office battery via the feed relay B, the contact p2, the b-conductor of the subscriber line, the station equipment St, the blocking diode G (in forward direction), the number switch impulse contact nsi or.
Coin contact m1, the Gabehimschaltkontakt GU, the A-conductor of the subscriber line, the contact p1 and the feeder lais A to the -Pol of the office battery.
Dialing can begin as soon as an amount of money is inserted that is at least as high as the total of the basic fee for local calls and the fee unit to be paid in advance for the first call period. At a Grundge fee of z. B. 10 cents for local calls and a call charge unit of 10 cents so at least 20 cents must be thrown in.
If the required minimum amount for local calls has been thrown in, then the coin contact ml of a money counter, not shown, opens and releases the previously short-circuited number switch pulse contact nsi for dialing numbers. nsk is the number switch short-circuit contact.
The first dialing impulses arriving at the control center are registered on a digit dialing follower M, which distinguishes between dialing digits for local traffic and those for long-distance traffic. If this tracking drive marks a local number, the relay P receives no power. Its contacts p1 and p2 remain in the position shown and the line circuit remains in the form described above.
To establish a long-distance connection, an amount of money must be inserted that is at least as high as the sum of the basic fee (e.g. 20 cents) for long-distance calls and the fee unit to be paid in advance for the first call period (10 cents). The number dialing can again begin with the coin contact ml open. Using the first dialing digits, the follower M marks a remote digit in the control center, whereby the relay P is energized.
Contacts p1 and p2 flip over so that the current in the line circuit changes direction. In this way, the higher basic fee to be levied for telephone calls is marked in the pay phone.
If the amount of money inserted is less than the minimum amount required for a long-distance call, the coin contact m2 of the money counter remains open. When changing the direction of current in the line circuit, the blocking diode G, which is now applied in the blocking direction, comes into operation. It prevents the flow of current and thus interrupts the connection.
However, if the minimum amount required for long-distance calls is covered, the coin contact m2 short-circuits the blocking diode G, and the connection is not hindered.
Such a blocking effect can also be achieved with a polarized relay that is inserted into the circuit instead of the blocking diode G and has a break contact that is located at point X in the line circuit. The polarized relay only responds if the line current is flowing in the direction marking a long-distance call and the coin contact m2 is open. In this case, the opening normally closed contact of the polarized relay breaks the line circuit. The normally closed contact is mechanically locked in the open position and returned to the rest position when the microtelephone is attached.
