Description

Worm gear pump The present invention relates to a worm gear pump for pumping liquids with suspended solids, in which the worm is pulled forward into the suction mouth or nozzle. According to the invention, the pump is characterized in that the radial distance between the circumferential edge of the screw and its axis increases steadily and, following a spiral line, reaches its circumference into the suction mouth or nozzle; the whole thing in such a way that the solids are prevented from being cut up by deflecting them against the wheel axle during conveyance.

An embodiment of the invention, in application to a fish pump, is shown in the drawing in axial section in Fig. 1 and in cross section along the line 11-II of Fig. 1 in Fig.2.

The worm wheel 1 has a radial part la of a type known per se, in addition to the helical blade beginning 1b according to the invention with its edge 1c sloping towards the wheel axis and axially growing into it (1d).

The wheel 1 is located in a spiral housing 2 and is rotated via the shaft 3. The beginning of the scoop 1b is screwed into the liquid-solid mass coming from the suction line 4. The solids 5 falling onto the blade edge 1c are deflected undamaged against the wheel axle, where they get into the blade wheel channel 2a and through the housing 2 into the pressure pipe 6. In the present case, an open wheel 1 is shown, but this can also be closed, i.e. H. be designed with a side wall.

The blade edge 1c, which slopes sharply towards the wheel axle, avoids cutting up solids conveyed with the liquid. The parts falling directly onto the shovel are directed against the wheel axis, where the peripheral speed is relatively low and where - in the case of textile or paper material - fibrous solid parts cannot get caught on the shovel, but slide into the wheel channel 2a.

The present wheel is used with advantage in particular special for conveying fish, textile and paper materials. The most important before parts compared to known wheels, z. B. vane-less hose and other mud wheels are: Balancing is quicker and easier; cutting and collecting solid material is avoided; Even pulpy masses of high concentration can be conveyed by the screw-shaped blade beginning 1b boring easily into such.
