Der gesamte Vorgang läuft jetzt also in entgegengesetzter Bewegungsrichtung ab.
Valve-controlled materials testing machine with double-acting and closed pressure milk ice-skating
Hydraulic materials testing machines that are controlled by valves are known. They are usually equipped with a single-acting cylinder.
The sample is loaded by means of a pressure medium pump which can be regulated in terms of its output, in conjunction with throttle valves and other parts.
In double-acting machines, the two cylinder spaces are generally fed separately with pressure medium which is taken from a storage container.
Furthermore, a double-acting, dynamic testing machine is known in which a reversing pump pumps pressure medium in a closed circuit from one cylinder chamber to the other.
The reversing pump is designed in such a way that it can also be driven by the depressurizing pressure medium.
However, the use of a reversing pump is only suitable for testing machines below a certain output, as the moment of inertia of the motor armature and the rotating pump parts only allow a short reversing time to be achieved with them, since this moment of inertia can be kept very small. In the case of machines with greater power, the moment of inertia increases, and a short reversing time is therefore no longer possible, so that the known arrangement can no longer be used for testing machines with greater power.
The object of the invention is to create a double-acting, dynamic testing machine with a hydraulic drive, which is also readily suitable for greater powers. This object is achieved according to the invention in that a pressure medium pump rotating in one direction is connected via short lines to a valve system that is controlled as a function of the test force generated and that reverses the connection of the two cylinder chambers with the suction and discharge lines of the pump. This design of a testing machine according to the invention ensures that the drop in force is only dependent on the speed of the pressure medium pump and practically no sudden drop in force occurs when the system is reversed.
To explain the invention Ausfüh approximately examples are described with reference to the drawing.
1 and 2 show schematically the structure of two different exemplary embodiments of the testing machine.
FIGS. 3 and 4 also schematically each show a different embodiment variant.
Figs. 5 to 8 are pressure-time diagrams for explaining the operation of the testing machine.
1 shows the structure of the first example of a testing machine according to the invention. One end of the sample 13 is connected to the force measuring device 14 and the other end to the loading system of the machine, which consists of the double-acting piston 1 in the cylinder 4. The two cylinder chambers 2 and 3 of the unit 1, 4 are connected via the pipes 5 and 6, the valve 7 and the two short lines 8 and 9 to a pump 10 which rotates in the direction of the arrow and is driven by the motor 19. The valve 7 is controlled, for example, by the magnetic coil systems 11 and 12. When the system 11 is energized, the valve 7 connects lines 5 and 8 and 6 and 9 together.
If the system 12 comes into effect, the lines 5 and 9 as well as 6 and 8 are brought into connection with one another.
The regulation or control of the magnet systems is carried out by the force acting on the test body 13.
The force exerted by the loading system 1, 4 on the body 13 can, as is known, be measured on the dynamometer 14, for example inductively, with strain gauges, optically or in some other way. The result is converted in a measuring amplifier 15 into an electrical quantity proportional to the force, which is compared in the comparison unit 17 with a setpoint value from one of the setpoint value generators 1 6a or 1 6b. The control deviation is fed from the comparison unit 17 to the control amplifier 18 and passed on to the magnet system 11 or 12 after appropriate amplification or conversion.
The control of the magnet coils of the systems 11, 12 could also, as is known to those skilled in the art, be carried out with the aid of a contact dynamometer or by deformation of the test body, an additional spring or the like, expediently via electrical contacts or also with hydraulic means.
During dynamic operation of the machine, the pump 10 presses the pressure medium into the cylinder chamber 2 when the magnet system 11 was last actuated. The test body 13 consequently suffers tensile stress. An electrical quantity proportional to the tensile force is now generated by the dynamometer 14 and measuring amplifier 15 and compared with the nominal electrical quantity from the transmitter 16a. As soon as the electrical variable in the measuring amplifier 15 reaches or exceeds the electrical variable in the setpoint generator 16a, the valve 7 is controlled via the comparison unit 17, the control amplifier 18 and the magnet system 12 so that it connects the pipes 5, 6, 8 and 9 crosswise As a result of this, the pump 10 conveys the pressure medium into the cylinder chamber 3. After the body 13 is relieved of tension, it is subjected to pressure.
The pressure medium required for this is taken from the cylinder space 2. The entire process now runs in the opposite direction of movement. The electrical quantity proportional to the applied compressive force is compared with the nominal electrical quantity of the transmitter 1 6b, whereby the valve 7 is reversed by the magnet system 11 at a given time so that the pressure medium passes from the cylinder chamber 3 into the cylinder chamber 2.
An essential advantage of the machine according to the invention is that the pressure medium in the cylinder to be relieved no longer suddenly relaxes, as in the known machines in which the pressure means is returned from the valve to a pressureless storage container. The pressure medium must now act on the suction side of the pump, as a result of which the pressure is only reduced to the extent that the pump is able to deliver the medium to the second cylinder chamber.
If the pressure medium is fed to a storage container via the valve 7 and the return line 9, the force profile shown in FIG. 5 results in the case of alternating loads. The load increase A would take place in a certain time by the pump.
The load drop B occurs suddenly when the valve is reversed because the pressure medium and sample relax immediately. The subsequent load on the test body in the opposite direction by the pump 10 takes place according to curve C and the renewed relief according to curve D as soon as the valve is reversed again.
There is even the possibility of a load profile according to FIG. 6 when a resilient body is inserted into the machine for testing. This load curve is caused by the fact that after opening the valve, the pressure initially drops suddenly (curve G) and then the piston is pulled back by the resilient test body into the central position (curve H). This creates a vacuum on the piston side to which the pressure medium is being conveyed, which can lead to cavitation and easily destroy the system.
In the machine installation according to the invention, the sample cannot be relieved of pressure faster than the pressure medium, namely only in accordance with the delivery rate that can be removed by the pump 10. The result is the desired load profile according to FIG. 7. The lines 8 and 9 are to be kept as short as possible, since they are connected to the reversed pressure potential of the cylinder when the valve is reversed.
During a load cycle in the machine according to the invention, after the body 13 has been relieved of pressure up to point a, the same pressure will prevail in the two cylinder chambers. This pressure is about half the pressures that occur at load peaks b and c. There is therefore no shock at the transition of the load, e.g. B. from area N to area O, to be feared if only the test body 13 was firmly clamped in the machine.
In the machine system according to the invention, the energy stored in the test body is fed back to both the pump 7 and the motor 19, as is already the case with known systems.
This significantly reduces the power requirement of the testing machine and the heating of the pressure medium. The recovered potential energy can be stored as kinetic energy in a suitable manner known to the person skilled in the art.
In order to compensate for leakage losses occurring in the machine system, pressure medium can be fed into the lines 5 and 6 via the check valves 20a and 20b and the pump 21, preferably automatically, as soon as the pressure at any point in time is less than that in the line 22 through the pressure relief valve 23 set pressure.
If the minimum pressure in the system can correspond to atmospheric pressure, the pump 21 and the pressure relief valve 23 can be omitted.
If tests on very rigid bodies are to be carried out, the amount of pressure medium to be conveyed from one side of the piston to the other is very small. It then corresponds to z. B. about the compressibility of the medium at the pressure that is proportional to the respective test force. The control of such small amounts of pressure medium is often associated with difficulties. It is therefore proposed according to the invention to provide pressure accumulators 27 and 28 on lines 5 and 6 as shown in FIG. As a result of this measure, in addition to the amount of pressure medium that corresponds to the compressibility of the medium, a certain amount of pressure medium must also be conveyed from one pressure accumulator to the other.
The pressure accumulators are expediently arranged so that they can be switched off so that they can be taken out of operation in the case of soft samples in which they would reduce the test speed.
4 shows a system in which no continuous piston rod is used on the piston 1. With such a! When the piston moves, the system must e.g. B. to the right, more pressure medium is sucked out of the cylinder chamber 3 than the cylinder chamber 2 can accommodate. A pressure medium reservoir 29 is therefore provided which serves to receive the excess pressure medium.
Such cylinders are particularly useful in testing machine systems with individual cylinders.
The machine system according to the invention can also be used for static tests, with a continuous change from the pressure area to the tension area and vice versa. This can be achieved in a simple manner by setting the two setpoint generators 1 6a and 1 6b to the smallest possible difference and adjusting both setpoint generators according to the desired static load profile. Such a load profile is shown in FIG. The desired load profile is shown by the dash-dotted line d. With the two target value transmitters 16a and 16b, the setpoint is determined over the time according to the dashed lines e and f, z. B. by means of a motor adjusted.
When the machine system is in operation, the force is now regulated back and forth between the two set limit values of the setpoint generator.
So it occurs in the test body accordingly a force curve; the line g on. It is easy to see that if the setpoint values of the two transmitters 1 6a and 16b are set very close to one another and the switching frequency is correspondingly high, the actual load profile practically corresponds to the desired static load profile d.
Instead of the two setpoint generators 1 6a and 1 6b, a single setpoint generator 16 can also be used according to FIG. 2 in the case of static or quasi-static load if the control amplifier 18 is designed in such a way that it reacts to a certain deviation of the measured actual test value from Setpoint value in one direction the magnet system 11 and in the event of a deviation in the other direction the magnet system 12 is excited.
So it is easily possible to control the force in any form and z. B. to carry out a sinusoidal load or a so-called random Lo ad attempt.
Another possibility for static or quasi-static tests is given by using a valve whose flow rate is proportional to the voltages applied to the magnet system 11 or 12 (instead of the valve 7 with two end positions). With such equipment, a value that is proportional to the control deviation is applied to the magnet system 11 or 12. Finally, this device can also be designed as a PID control device or the like, i. H. that in addition to the proportional component P, the magnet systems also have an integral component I and! a differential component D is supplied. Valves with a switching frequency of a few hundred Hertz and with a flow rate proportional to the voltage are known.
If a valve with a delivery rate proportional to the voltage or a switching valve with a central position is to be used, pressure medium is to be fed into line 9 by a pump 21 via the check valve 25 to compensate for leakage losses. In addition, the line 8 receives a pressure relief valve 26 which is set to a pressure higher than the maximum operating pressure.
These measures are necessary so that, if the valve keeps all lines closed, the pump does not run without pressure medium and would be destroyed as a result. The discharge line of the pressure relief valve 26 expediently leads into the line 9, since the pump 21 can normally be made small and is not able to replenish as much pressure medium as is blown off by the pump 10 through the pressure relief valve 26 when the valve 7 is closed is in the middle position, so it is closed.
With static machines, the desired range of load speeds to be set is often very large. For these machines, the control valves must be designed for the highest loading speeds in accordance with the largest delivery rate of the pump. At low loading speeds, the boundary layer formation of the pressure medium in the valves therefore often causes considerable difficulties. It is therefore proposed to supply an alternating or impulse voltage superimposed on the control voltage, which causes a certain oscillation of the valve piston, in the magnet systems which open proportionally to the applied voltage opening valves dbn.
This ensures that the valve opening is briefly larger than the boundary layer of the pressure medium in the valve.
The systems described can be operated with any pressure medium, oil, but also air, etc. It can also be used in conjunction with other known loading devices, e.g. B. resonance systems, pulsators, etc., the scope of the system can be expanded to include z. B. durability test or the like to be able to perform economically.
