Jede der Stabilisierungstaschen 3a, <I>3b, 3c</I> ist an ihrem Einlauf, betrachtet in der Dreh richtung der Welle 1, mit einer Axialnut <I>4a</I> bzw.<I>4b</I> bzw.
A befindlichen Ringnut 5b bzw. 5a ver bunden.
A fördern.
In gewissen Fällen, wo niedrigere Betriebsdreh zahl und höhere Lagerbelastung vorliegen, ergeben die Axialnuten <I>4a, 4b,</I> 4c allein, d. h. ohne die an- schliessenden Taschen 3a,<I>3b</I><B>3e,</B> ebenfalls eine ge nügende Stabilisierung.
Gas-lubricated plain bearing The subject of the main patent is a hydrodynamically gas-lubricated plain bearing for high speeds with a cylindrical bore and with recesses in the running surface of the bearing shell, the recesses near the two bearing ends are arranged in segments over the circumference and each recess at the inlet with an axial groove is provided, which extends at least approximately over the width of the recess and has no connection with the surrounding atmosphere.
It is also proposed in the main patent, between tween the depressions or axial grooves and the bearing ends to be arranged an annular groove. These ring grooves have the purpose of delimiting the gas exchange between the lubrication gap and the bearing environment to protect the bearing surface from contamination. The use of special suction lines or filters for the lubricating gas is avoided.
In contrast to the well-known multi-wing bearings, a plain bearing constructed in this way has a sufficient load-bearing capacity of the lubricating film even at relatively low speeds and works at high speeds free from the stability of the shaft movement, as confirmed by machines carried out.
In hydrodynamically gas-lubricated bearings, apart from the problems of load-bearing capacity and stability, there is also the problem of deformation of the bearing under thermal stress during operation, because the low load-bearing capacity of gas bearings means that the bearing clears are extremely small, so that the bearing has a high degree of dimensional accuracy is conditionally necessary. In the case of turbo machines working with very hot gases, the bearing bearing close to the impeller is stressed very unfavorably due to one-sided heating. During operation, impermissible temperature differences and unequal thermal expansion in the bearing body can occur between the two ends of the bearing, which endanger the operational safety of the machines.
The present invention aims to overcome these difficulties. It is characterized in that at least one axial groove on at least one of the ends of the bearing with the annular groove on the other bearing is connected by at least one special channel.
In this way it is possible to achieve a constant exchange of lubricating gas and thus a temperature compensation between the two bearing ends without special, in particular moving aids.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows an axial section of the gas-lubricated sliding bearing and Fig. 2 is a radial section along the line II-11 in FIG.
A shaft 1 runs in a cylindrical bearing shell 2, near the ends A and B several depressions Ver so-called. Stabilization pockets 3a, 3b and 3c are arranged in segments over the circumference. The width of these stabilizing pockets in the axial direction is dimensioned so that it is a maximum of one sixth of the bearing width. Usually they are narrower, and so remains between them a supporting middle part with a cylindrical bore, without any grooves or holes, of at least two-thirds of the bearing width. Each of the stabilization pockets 3a, <I> 3b, 3c </I> is at its inlet, viewed in the direction of rotation of the shaft 1, with an axial groove <I> 4a </I> or <I> 4b </I> or 4c, which extends over the width of the Sta bilisierungstaschen.
The depth t of the stabilization pockets is of the same order of magnitude as the radial bearing play A R between shaft 1 and bearing shell 2. Between the stabilization pockets or axial grooves and the bearing ends, an annular groove 5a and 5b is turned into the bearing shell 2.
In the present exemplary embodiment, the axial grooves 4a, 4b, 4c located at the bearing end A and B are each provided with one or more channels 6a or 6b running in the bearing shell 2 with the channels B and A located at the bearing end Annular groove 5b or 5a connected.
A major advantage of this type of connections <I> 6a </I> and 6b between the axial grooves 4a, <I> 4b, </I> 4c and the annular grooves 5a, 5b is that an intensive exchange of the in the annular grooves 5a and <I> 5b </I> enclosed lubricating gas can take place.
In operation, the stabilization pockets 3a, 3b, 3c attached to the bearing ends A and B work as viscosity pumps that convey the lubricating gas from one bearing end A or B into the annular groove at the other bearing end B or A, respectively. The consequence of these processes taking place in both directions at the same time is an extensive compensation of the temperature difference between the two ends of the bearing A and B.
In addition to the temperature compensation function mentioned above, these internal connections also fulfill a function of increased stabilization which is useful for hydrodynamically gas-lubricated plain bearings. In particular, by connecting the axial grooves <I> 4a </I> located on the unloaded side of the bearing surface with one of the annular grooves <I> 5a, 5b </I>, the development of negative pressure in the lubricating gap of the bearing can be prevented.
For stabilization purposes, the pockets for adjusting the shaft displacement can be unequal depth. For example, in the embodiment shown, the pocket 3a on the unloaded bearing side, depending on the respective shaft eccentricity during operation, can be deeper than the stabilization pockets 3b and 3c, which can further increase the stability.
For certain applications, it can be advantageous to distribute the stabilizing pockets unevenly over the circumference and, if necessary, to provide less than three pockets per bearing end. For example, the pocket 3b together with the inlet groove 4b on the loaded bearing side can be omitted for higher demands on the load-bearing capacity of the bearing. The two ends of the bearing make an increased contribution to the load-bearing capacity. It is also possible to make the stabilization pockets unequally wide according to the intended purpose.
In certain cases, where the operating speed is lower and the bearing load is higher, the axial grooves result in <I> 4a, 4b, </I> 4c alone, i.e. H. Without the adjoining pockets 3a, <I> 3b </I> <B> 3e, </B> also sufficient stabilization.
