Current transformers in cascade design with split insulator and several cores of different accuracy If the requirement to be met is that a current transformer for the highest voltages should be mechanically divisible due to its large overall height due to the large overall height caused by the throw distance with regard to good transport options, one is forced to use the cascade design.
If such a converter has several cores of different accuracy and the condition is also set that an influence on the core of greater accuracy by fluctuating load on the core of lower accuracy is largely avoided, then, according to an earlier proposal, the high-voltage-side stage of the cascade is the same number equipped by main cores like the earth-side stage of the cascade; In doing so, the leads of the main cores in the lower part of the insulator have been led in separate voltage-controlled bushings as feed lines to the individual cores on the earth side.
If it is desired to make the lower part of the insulator not in several parts, but in one piece and particularly slim, the supply lines to the cores on the earth-side level of the cascade will also be laid in a common voltage-controlled bushing and only after they exit the voltage-controlled area continue the implementation separately in such a way that a corresponding distance between the cores is maintained to avoid mutual core influences.
By maintaining such a distance, a base that is bulky in the horizontal direction results when the cores are arranged horizontally; a vertical arrangement of the cores would result in a correspondingly high insulator. In order to reduce the dimensions, according to the invention, in the earth-side step, the planes of the flow of the magnetic circuits of the cores provided one above the other and also their core planes are at an angle; for example 90, arranged offset, with the core plane of the core of greater accuracy extending so that this core plane lies in the direction of the plane of the flow through the core of lower accuracy.
FIG. 1 shows a compact structure of an example of the cascade current transformer according to the invention. In the head part of the current transformer, two main cores 11 and 12 of different accuracy are housed with their secondary windings 13 and 14, the common envelope and potential coating. Their derivatives 15 and 16 are routed with their common capacitor control 17 through the upper part insulator 18, which is sealed at its lower end by a plate not shown here, so that the current transformer part just described represents an independent component. An expansion body is provided at a suitable point to accommodate changes in volume of the insulating medium (oil) used in this current transformer part.
The upper part insulator 18 is placed on the lower part insulator 19, which also forms an independent component, and is clamped together with it by means of a metallic connecting flange. The lower partial insulator 19 also encloses the leads 15 'and 16' to the primary windings 20 and 21 of the two

the cores 22 and 23 on the earth side of the cascade, the common voltage-controlled feedthrough 24 accommodating the sheath core 22 with lower accuracy and the leg core 23 arranged below, for example, with greater accuracy. The supply line 16 'to the primary winding 21 of the leg core 23 is passed down through the right window of the jacket core 22.
The current is drawn in the usual way on the secondary windings applied to the cores, the secondary winding of the leg core consisting of two winding parts 25 and 26 connected in parallel.
The arrangement of the jacket core 22 and the leg core 23 is shown in FIG. 2 in a perspective illustration. As indicated by the arrow DM, the throughflow plane of the jacket core 22 lies in the plane of the drawing. The throughflow plane of the leg core 23, which is marked by the arrow Ds, runs offset by 90 to this. H. it is perpendicular to the plane of the drawing. The planes of the two cores 22 and 23 are also offset by 90 because, as the arrows Km and K $ show, the core plane of the leg core runs in the plane of the drawing (arrow KS) and the core plane of the jacket core is perpendicular to it (arrow Kä) .
The core plane of the core of greater accuracy, namely the leg core 23, runs in the direction of the plane of the drawing (arrow Ks), so that the force line field of the flow through the core is smaller. Accuracy, namely the jacket core 22, is approximately perpendicular to it, that is, runs in the direction of arrow FM; d. H. the core plane of the leg core 23 lies in the throughflow plane of the jacket core 22.
Another embodiment is shown in FIG. 3, in which at least one of the cores present in the earth-side stage of the cascade, which are arranged one above the other with the associated windings, is divided into two identical core parts which are positioned at an angle to one another that they do not protrude beyond the extent of their primary winding or the projection of the other core in this cascade stage.
This inclination has the advantage that the diameter of the insulator surrounding the earth-side step z. B. is only determined by the space required by the primary winding. This arrangement makes it possible to achieve a space-saving structure even with staggered arrangement of the cores of different accuracy, since z. B. when using a leg core as the lower core, the partial cores of the system arranged above can be accommodated within the insulator, the diameter of which is given by the projection of the leg core and its primary winding.
In FIG. 3, the current transformer shown in two-stage construction has two decoupled measuring systems on the earth-side stage. In the stage on the high-voltage side, the primary conductor 1 and the two cores 2 are arranged with their secondary windings, which are jointly provided with the insulation 3 required for the corresponding test voltage. As a conclusion, the insulation 3 carries the conductive coating 4.
Two decoupled measuring systems with the primary windings 5 and 6 rotated by 90 and the associated iron cores 7a / 7b and 8, which carry the secondary windings (not shown), are accommodated in the earth-side stage. In the embodiment shown, only the upper core is divided into two identical core parts 7a and 7b, which are arranged at such a large angle to the vertical axis that they do not extend more radially than the primary winding 5 with insulation 9 or the primary winding 6 with the insulation 10. This can be seen from FIGS. 3, 4.
You can also set the core 8 inclined and thus further reduce the height.
