Release device for compressed air brakes of rail vehicles The invention relates to a release device for indirect compressed air brakes of rail vehicles, with one or more release valves, which are ineffective in a switching position that is automatically set in the main air line when there is excess pressure and in another,
manually adjustable and automatically maintainable switch position only when at least partially vented main air line causes a release of the brake.
On brake control valves, it is known to attach trigger valves that can be operated by hand and are used to release the brake to move the individual car. However, these release valves have the disadvantage that they have to be actuated until the brake is completely released and offer no guarantee that the compressed air brake will also remain released afterwards.
To eliminate these deficiencies, semi-automatic release devices have become known which act as indicated at the beginning. However, these release devices either have to be built into the brake control valves and therefore change the control properties of the brake control valve when retrofitted - if this is possible at all - or, if they represent separate units, require multiple line connections, are complex, prone to failure and expensive and often difficult to assemble.
Furthermore, the actuation linkage is also complicated by these release devices, since it either has to be arranged several times or has several switching stages which are separated from one another by additional springs that can only be winded by applying force.
The object of the invention is to create a cheap and reliable release device of the type specified at the outset, which can also be retrofitted without difficulty.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the manually operable linkage of the release valves is provided with a spring force accumulator that can be tensioned by means of the pressure in the main air line and, after a brief partial actuation of the linkage, brings about the movement that switches the release valves.
Further, advantageous details are evident from the description and the drawing and specified in the subclaims.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.
The arranged on a brake control valve 1 release valves 3 are verbun by a rod 5 and can be operated together. At one end of the rod 5 a wire pull 7 leading to a handle (not shown) is articulated. The other end of the rod 5 protrudes over .ein linkage 9 with one end of the switching rod 11 of a spring force accumulator 13 in a tension-proof connection.
The other end of the shift rod 11 is hinged to a wire train 7 corresponding to a second handle leading wire 15. The spring force accumulator 13 contains a cylinder space 19 which is connected to the main air line of the compressed air brake via a pipe 17 and which is delimited on the one hand by a switching piston 21. The other side of the switching piston 21 is loaded by an accumulator spring 25 supporting itself against the fixed housing 23 of the spring force accumulator.
The Schaltkol ben 21 carries on both sides concentrically a guide tube 27 guided in the valve housing 23, which receives the shift rod 11. In the switching piston 21, an auxiliary piston 29 is arranged perpendicular to its axis, which on the one hand is acted upon by the pressure of the cylinder space 19 via a bore 31 and a cylinder chamber 33 and on the other hand is loaded by the force of a spring 35 supported against the switching piston 21. On the side of the spring 35, the auxiliary piston 29 carries a plunger 37, which is able to einzugrei fen on a stop 39 arranged on the housing 23.
The auxiliary piston 29 has a transverse bore 41 penetrated by the switching rod 11, in which a switching disk 43 attached to the switching rod 11 is guided with little play in the engagement position of the plunger 37 and stop 39 of the auxiliary piston 29. An annular groove 45 is provided in the transverse bore 41 on both sides of the switching disk 43.
When the brake is ready for operation, the pressure prevailing in the main air line pushes the Kol ben 21 and 29 into their positions shown. The closing springs, not shown, of the release valves 3 hold or move after actuation, the switching rod 11 via the linkage 9 in the central position, in wel cher the switching disk 43 is grooves 45 between the ring and the auxiliary piston 21 locked.
If the compressed air escapes from the main air line during braking, the switching disk 43 holds the auxiliary piston 29 and thus also the switching piston 21 in their positions, the springs 25 and 35 exciting Stel.
However, if one of the wire pulls 7 or 15 is pulled slightly during braking, the shift rod 11 shifts, the shift disk 43 gets into one of the annular grooves 45, the auxiliary piston 29 lifts up under the force of the spring 35 and releases the lock 37, 39. Now the accumulator spring 25 moves the switching piston 21 and with this via the auxiliary piston 29 and the switching disk 43 also the switching rod 11 in the direction of the cylinder space 19. This movement is transmitted via the linkage 9 to the release valves 3 and the opening as a result The brake is released.
This condition is retained when the main air line is vented.
When compressed air is fed into the main air line, the overpressure injected into the cylinder chambers 19 and 33 pushes the pistons 21 and 29 back into their original positions while tensioning the springs 25 and 35. The annular groove 45 releases the switching disk 43, which is then moved back under the force of the closing release valve 3 into its central position locking the auxiliary piston 29. The initial state has thus been reached.
