Device for controlling the feed movement of the recording or playback head for a device with a sound carrier with spiral grooves The present invention relates to a device for controlling the feed movement of the recording or recording.
Playback head for a device with a sound carrier with spiral grooves, in which a control plate provided with grooves of the same pitch is arranged coaxially to the turntable shaft and a guide pin running in the guide grooves of this control plate is rigidly coupled to the recording and playback head attached to a pivoting or displacement device is.
It is known and customary to arrange a magnetic sound carrier without recording against a magnetic sound carrier carrying a recording, hereinafter referred to as matrix carrier, for making a copy so that the magnetizable layers of the two sound carriers face each other, and to guide the transfer head between the two sound carriers which transfers the recorded information to the carrier without recording.
If a copy of such a matrix carrier is produced in this way, the copy has a spiral-shaped recording path, the direction of which is the opposite of that of the matrix carrier. However, since playback devices move the playback head in a certain direction of winding, a matrix carrier which is used to produce matrix carriers for such copies must have a direction of winding of the spiral recording path that is opposite to that of the sound carriers of the playback devices.
The invention now aims to create a device for controlling the feed movement, which is suitable for the production of both matrix carriers and conventional sound carriers. The aim of the invention is to simplify the control of the feed movement and at the same time to create a safe switching of the direction of rotation.
This is achieved in that the control disc is attached to a stationary platter shaft and is provided on both sides with guide grooves of the same pitch, but with a different winding direction and that a switch cam protruding into the center hole of the control disc controls the direction of rotation of the turntable, the direction of rotation switch.
An embodiment of a recording device according to the invention is shown in the drawing.
1 shows the top view of the device, FIG. 2 shows a side elevation in section to FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a section through the guide plate placed in the reverse position; Fig. 4 is a section taken along the line IV-IV in Fig. 1, and Fig. 5 is a perspective view of the support for the recording head and the guide member. The base plate 13, of which only a part is shown, carries a pin, the turntable shaft 2, which is permanently connected to it and has a longitudinally drilled hole.
A horizontal, preferably circular control plate 1 is placed on the upper end of the pin, which can be removed and secured against rotation. The upper and the lower surface of the control plate is each provided with a spiral guide groove, the center of which lies on the longitudinal axis of the pin. This pin simultaneously forms the axis of rotation for the rotatable turntable 3, which is arranged between the guide plate 1 and the base plate 13. In the present case, the disc expensive only carries the feed device, since the sound carrier foil is arranged firmly over the turntable. The turntable 3 carries the two par allelic guide rods 6a and 6b via two mounting brackets.
These are arranged symmetrically on both sides of the pin 2 and lead a longitudinally displaceable frame 7a, wel cher the magnetic head 4 carries.
Approximately in the middle of the leg 7 of the frame 7a are two pierced lobes in which the recording head 4 is mounted by means of the spring 8 fe-reducing (Fig. 2). The frame mounted on the guide rods 6a, 6b is displaceable on these in their longitudinal direction and is guided by the guide pin 5, the latter being intended to engage in the downwardly facing guide groove of the guide plate 1. However, the above parallel guidance is not the subject of the application.
Both sides of the control plate 1 are provided with spiral guide grooves of the same pitch, but the direction of winding is reversed. The control plate 1 can be lifted off the turntable shaft 2 and put back in the reverse position and also secured against rotation. For this purpose, the turntable shaft z. B. a continuous transverse groove 10 into which a provided in the central hole of the control plate 1, radially inwardly projecting switching cam la engages appropriately.
As can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 3, the cam 1a does not occupy the entire height of the central hole and is on one side flush with its end face.
The direction of rotation switch 11 is inserted in the supply circuit of a drive motor (not shown), which sets the plate plate 3 in rotation via a transmission. This is fastened on the underside of the base plate 13 below the turntable shaft 2.
To operate the contacts of the direction of rotation switch, a plunger 12 is provided in the longitudinal bore of the turntable shaft 2, which rests on the insulating pimple of the switch (11), which connects the ends of the two switching springs 11a. If the control plate 1 is placed in the position shown in FIG. 2, the plunger 12 protrudes beyond the lower end face of the center hole, but without reaching the switching cam la, so that the switch is in the rest position.
In the reverse position of the control plate 1 (FIG. 3), however, the plunger 12 is pressed down by the switching cam la and the direction of rotation switch is switched. The operation of the described device is as follows: It is assumed that the guide plate 1 is placed on the turntable shaft 2 in the position shown in FIG. 2 and the magnetic head 4 and the guide pin 5 are in the outer end position (FIG. 2 ). Then a still unmagnetized, z.
B. sheet-shaped recording medium brought by means of a resting platen in the dashed dot in Fig. 2 animals drawn plane, the layer to be magnetized is below and thus the magnetic head 4 is facing.
If the drive motor for the turntable 3 is switched on, it rotates in 'certain, given by the position of the direction switch 11 bener direction, and the guide pin 5 slides because along the underlying spiral guide groove inward. At the same time, the magnetic head 4 executes a similar spiral movement relative to the turntable shaft 2 at a given distance from the guide and describes a spiral recording path of the same pitch, but larger diameter than that of the guide groove, compared to the stationary recording medium. The AC signal voltage fed to the recording head 4 is thus recorded.
If, on the other hand, the signal alternating voltage is to be recorded on a die carrier to produce a copy, the control plate 1 is turned and placed in the opposite position as shown in FIG. This actuates the direction of rotation switch 11 and reverses the direction of rotation of the motor. After the magnetic head 4 and the guide member have again been brought into the outer end position, the specific sound carrier as the die carrier is inserted into the dashed-dotted plane of FIG. 2, with the layer to be magnetized back down to the magnetic head.
The recording now takes place in a manner similar to that previously described. However, the direction of winding of the recording spiral produced is reversed to that of the previous example.
At the end of the recording, the guide pin 5 can be brought out of engagement with the guide groove by pressing down a lever on the frame 7a and the frame with the magnetic head 4 can be pushed back into the starting position instantly.
From what has been said, it can be seen that the direction of rotation of the turntable is changed by simply turning the guide plate, with the guide pin simultaneously engaging with the guide groove that matches the recording in question.
