Shaft seal The invention relates to a shaft seal for a turbomachine compressible working media with a liquid-lubricated storage for the shaft and a circulation system for the lubricant.
The invention has set itself the goal of preventing the compressible working medium penetrating the machine from escaping to the bearing side along the shaft in an uncontrollable manner in such turbo-machines, so that it is lost for the further process, and on the other hand, at the same time, to avoid that lubricant, for example oil, flows into the turbomachine from the bearing.
The shaft seal according to the invention is characterized by a pressure chamber surrounding the shaft in a ring shape, which is directly connected to the shaft bearing and is supplied with lubricant by this, which has a higher pressure than that on the gas side of the shaft seal, and a pressure chamber with this a throttle point connecting an outflow channel and a metering pump serving to discharge the quantity of lubricant flowing through the throttle point, the suction quantity of which is so dimensioned
that at the same time as the lubricant, a certain amount of gas is withdrawn from the pressurized gas space of the turbomachine through a bottleneck opening into the outflow channel, and also through a separating device arranged after the metering pump to break down the lubricant-gas mixture into lubricant and gas.
An advantageous embodiment of the invention is that the pressure chamber is designed as an annular groove in the bearing body, with a connec tion channel for the outflowing lubricant through the gap formed by the bearing play and annularly enclosing the shaft between the pressure chamber and the outflow channel.
A splash ring for the lubricant flowing out of the pressure chamber through the throttle point is advantageously arranged on the shaft, where it penetrates the outflow channel, and is designed in such a way that the lubricant is thrown off into the outflow channel. Another possibility is to provide the shaft itself, where it passes through the discharge duct, with a collar which has a spray edge for the lubricant emerging from the pressure chamber.
An expedient embodiment of the flow channel consists in that it is designed as an annular space arranged at a certain distance around the bearing housing, to which an outflow line leading to the metering pump is closed. The storage container for the lubricant, which is arranged in the lubricant circuit, is always under a lower gas pressure than that on the gas side of the shaft seal. For example, it can be under atmospheric pressure. It is advantageous to also connect the storage container on the gas side to a point in the flow path of the working medium, a gas cushion of the working medium itself being formed in it above the level of the lubricant.
The higher pressure generated in the lubricant circuit for the pressure space is advantageously maintained by means of an overflow valve which is arranged in a line connected to the storage tank and opening into the feed line for the lubricant. In order to ensure that even with any pressure variations on the gas side of the shaft seal, the pressure of the lubricant in the pressure chamber is always a constant amount higher than the pressure on the gas side, an advantageous development of the invention consists in that in the feed line for the lubricant is a pressure regulator is arranged.
Furthermore, it is expedient, by arranging an admixing control device between the feed line of the sealing device and the metering pump, to enable the amount of gas to be delivered by the metering pump to be set.
Details emerge from the games Ausführungsbei explained below with reference to the drawing.
1 shows a turbo machine with a shaft seal designed according to the invention in a schematic section.
In Fig. 2, an embodiment is shown in which the pressure chamber in the bearing body itself is designed as an annular groove.
In Fig. 1, the turbo machine, for example a turbo compressor or an expansion turbine, which is part of a system not shown, for. B. a compression refrigeration system forms, penetrated by the working medium. The shaft 2 of the turbomachine is mounted on two oil-lubricated bearings 3 and 4. The annular pressure space 6 adjoins the bearing 3 directly.
This is connected through the annular gap 7 to the outflow channel 8, which is designed as an annular space arranged around the bearing housing 9 and to which an outflow line 11 for the lubricant gas leading to the metering pump 10, for example a screw pump -Mix is connected.
The outflow channel 8 is connected on the other side through an annular gap 12 to a control space 13, which in turn is connected to the gas space of the turbomachine through the bottleneck formed by the shaft and a labyrinth seal 14 arranged in the housing of the turbomachine.
The discharge line 11 leads after the metering pump 10 into a cyclone 12, to which a line 16 leading into a storage container 15 for the gaseous working medium with a measuring orifice 17 serving to measure the quantity and a line 18 leading into the storage container for the lubricant are connected. In front of the cyclone, a throttle screen 19 is arranged in the feed line 11. At the upper part of the storage container a gas line 21 containing an adsorption filter 20 is connected, which z. B. leads to a point of lowest pressure in the flow path of the Ar penetrating beitsmediums the turbomachine.
In FIG. 4, a variant embodiment is shown, which consists in that the gas separated in the cyclone is fed directly into the system through which the working medium flows at a point at a corresponding pressure. In this case, the cyclone is only connected to the storage tank via line 18. The bearing housing 9, which is connected to the former by a return line 22 for the oil, is also under the same pressure as the storage container. At the lower part of the feed container, a feed line 23 is connected for the oil, in which a pump 24, a cooler 25 and a filter 26 are arranged.
From the feed line leading into the camp 4 line 27 with a Dros selblende 28 is branched off. After the branch point, a pressure control device 29 is arranged in the feed line 23 leading into the bearing 3. The control line for the pressure regulator connected to line 11 is designated 30. To enable an adjustment with regard to the division of the gas and the oil amount of the gas mixture to be för-reducing by the metering pump, a line 32 containing a control valve 31 is connected between the line 23 and the line 11 upstream of the metering pump.
To maintain the constant oil pressure in the feed line, a line 34 containing an overflow valve 33 is connected to the storage tank and opens into the feed line 23 before the pressure regulator, so that as soon as the oil pressure in line 23 exceeds the desired level, oil overflows the line 34 flows back into the storage tank.
The function of the shaft seal formed according to the invention is as follows: From the storage tank 15, oil is fed into the bearing 3 and thus into the pressure chamber 6 at a higher pressure kept constant by the overflow control device than the pressure on the gas side of the sealing device. The pressure regulator 29 is also arranged so that the pressure is always higher than that on the gas side of the seal by a constant amount.
His Kol ben is acted upon except by the prevailing pressure in the discharge channel 8 from the spring pressure of the spring loading it. The metering pump sucks a certain amount of oil out of the pressure chamber through the annular gap 7 through the outflow channel 8. To influence the direction of flow of the oil, the shaft 2, where it passes through the outflow channel, is provided with a collar 40 which has a splash edge 41 so that the lubricant that hits it from the annular gap 7 due to the centrifugal forces acting perpendicular to the shaft in the Outflow channel 8 is thrown (Fig. 2).
Another embodiment consists in that a splash ring 42 with the same function is arranged on the shaft (FIG. 3).
The delivery rate of the metering pump is now measured in such a way that, at the same time as the amount of oil, a certain amount of gas from the turbomachine is drawn off by the metering pump through the bottleneck 12. The control room 13 is accessible from the outside, for example through a detachable closure piece, for control purposes. The oil-gas mixture is introduced into the cyclone 12 for separation into oil and gas.
From this, the oil flows back into the storage container, while the gas, which is also introduced into the storage container, is removed from this through line 21 for further use or, as already stated, into the system that has flowed through the working medium at a corresponding point can be led back.
