Infinitely variable power transmission transmission The invention relates to a continuously variable power transmission transmission, which consists of an epicyclic transmission and a hydrostatic transmission.
Epicyclic gears with one or more stages in the manner of planetary gears for the transmission of torques are known. Such gears can only be changed within small limits by changing their dimensions in the transmission ratio.
Epicyclic gears in combination with hydrostatic gears are also known. The oil motor is connected to the drive shaft and the oil pump is connected to the external gear of the reverse gear. With such a connection of the hydrostatic transmission, the torque on the drive shaft can grow very high until the drive shaft starts moving. These or connected parts can break because the power of the hydrostatic transmission is transmitted as blind power.
In order to avoid these shortcomings of the known types of transmission and the torque z. B. on vehicles, mills and the like without the risk of breakage, the object is achieved according to the invention by that the greatest torque of the drive shaft (z. B. When starting) by the greatest torque of the hydrostatic motor connected to the drive shaft of the transmission is determined.
The solution to this problem is that the hydrostatic transmission is switched on between the outer wheel and the output side of the epicyclic transmission.
It is advantageous if the motor or motors of the hydrostatic transmission can be switched off individually and the stroke volume can be individually regulated. Throttle or control elements can be arranged in the return line of the hydrostatic transmission. The direction of rotation of the torque from the pump or the motor or motors can be reversible.
The hydrostatic transmission can be provided with a closed or open circuit.
In the delivery line of the hydrostatic transmission, a valve and a pressure relief valve can each be connected with a line connection to an oil reservoir. The shafts of the epicyclic gear can then be rotated without resistance, so that the control elements in the delivery line practically replace a coupling between the drive motor and the epicyclic gear.
Next can be provided to drive vehicles, in particular special rail vehicles, the large moments during the start-up time from the hydrostatic transmission to be transmitted directly and to a vehicle axle, whereby the mechanical transmission of power is only limited to the operation. The output shaft of the epicyclic transmission and all of its downstream parts in terms of the flow of power are then only claimed by a moment that corresponds to the highest torque, which is equal to the highest power of the motor.
Finally, it is also possible to distribute the start-up power over several interconnected vehicles. The control elements built into the delivery line of the hydrostatic transmission are then used, in turn, to control the start-up process and, if necessary, the braking process.
Exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the drawing. The figures show:
4 shows a further arrangement according to FIG. 3 and FIG. 5 shows an arrangement for distributing the starting power to the wheels of several vehicles connected to one another.
In the epicyclic gear, the gear 2 is driven via the shaft 1. The wheel 2 meshes with the planet gears 3 and 3 ', which are superimposed on the web 4 forming the intermediate wheel carrier on pins 7 and 7' ge. The spider shaft 5 dissipates the force that is fed to the transmission with the shaft 1. The wheels 3 and 3 'mesh with the internal toothing 8 of the external wheel 6. If the outer wheel 6 is stationary, the transmission ratio is derived from the sizes of the wheels 2 and 3 alone.
However, if the outer wheel 6 is also set in rotation, the transmission ratio is increased or decreased, depending on whether the movement of the outer wheel occurs in the opposite direction or with the direction of movement of the web.
When power is transferred from shaft 1 to shaft 5, power is split in the gearbox or reactive power is dragged along with corresponding losses.
Furthermore, a hydrostatically controllable intermediate gear is provided as a superposition gear in connection with the epicyclic gear. In this case, both the pump 9 and the motor 10 can in principle be controllable in terms of volume (delivery volume per cycle), or only the pump or only the motor. The directions of rotation between the pump and the motor can also be changed.
The oil pump 9 and the motor 10 are attached to the gear housing 11 Ge. The shaft of the pump 9 is connected to the outer gear 6 via gear 12 and the shaft of the motor 10 is connected to the web 4 via gear 13, so that a second power coupling exists between shaft 1 and shaft 5. The pump 9 conveys the pressure medium to the motor 10 via the line 14 and from here again via the line 15 to return. The return line 15 as well as the outgoing line 14 are provided with valves and switching devices which are common in normal fluid transmissions; In particular, the return line 15 can be designed as a so-called open line according to FIG.
This then gives the opportunity to build a throttle element 16 with overpressure protection 17 in this line if the intended use of the transmission requires the presence of a braking facility.
In the delivery line 14 of the hydrostatic Ge gear further control elements are turned on, for. B. a valve 26 and a pressure relief valve 27 each with a line connection to an oil reservoir 28. If the valve 26 is opened, the shaft 1 can be rotated without resistance. This valve thus replaces z. B. a clutch between the driving internal combustion engine and the transmission. When the valve 26 is closed, the pressure in the line 14 rises and the oil motor 10 starts up. The acceleration of the shaft 5 continues until there is equilibrium between the delivery volume of the pump 9 and the absorption capacity of the motor 10.
As long as this has not been achieved, the excess oil that has been pumped is pushed back into the oil container 28 via the pressure relief valve 27. If the shaft 5 is to rotate faster, the oil motor 10 or several oil motors 10 are designed to be adjustable in the amount of oil that can be absorbed down to the amount zero, which means that the oil motor 10 rotates at a speed that is independent of the spider shaft 5 and the gear ratio of shaft 5 to gear 13 is. If the oil motor does not take in any more oil, the outer wheel 6 must stop because the pumps 9 can no longer deliver. The gear then behaves like a purely mechanical gear with a stationary outer gear.
The transmission according to FIG. 3 can be designed to drive vehicles, in particular rail vehicles. The mechanical transmission of the power then only needs to take place in part during operation. The shaft 5 and all her subsequently assigned parts in terms of the power flow are only claimed by a moment that corresponds to the highest torque, which is equivalent to the highest performance of the engine. The torques, which are many times greater during the start-up time, are absorbed directly by the oil hydraulics and conveyed to the vehicle axle.
According to FIG. 3, the internal combustion engine 30 drives the gear wheel 2 of the transmission and, as long as the shaft 5 does not rotate or only rotates slowly, the outer gear 6 via the planet gears 3, 3 '. The outer gear drives the gear wheel 12 through its ring gear 25 which drives the pump 9. The power consumed by the oil pump 9 is transmitted via the line 23 to the oil motor 10, which in this exemplary embodiment is attached to the axle 22 of a locomotive and drives it via a bevel gear drive 24. The power of the shaft 5 is fed to the axles 22 via a transfer case 18, which can contain a differential 19, via shafts 20 and bevel gears 21.
According to FIG. 4, the starting power can also be distributed to a non-driven axle 29 of the rail vehicle. It is also possible with several vehicles connected to one another according to FIG. 5, without losing the advantages of the infinitely variable speed transmission without interruptions in traction. In the connecting line 23 between the oil pump 9 and the oil motor 10, the already described enclosed regulating and control valves are installed to regulate the start-up and, if necessary, the braking process.
For the torque of the shaft 5 there is always a maximum amount, since the oil motor 10 can only rely on the drive torque of the shaft 1 via the pump 9 and the pins 7, 7 'of the planet wheels. So it is the highest output torque of the shaft 5 always in a fixed ratio to the drive torque of the shaft 1, even if at the moment of startup, the output shaft 5 is still at zero speed.
