Description
Heating device The present invention relates to a heating device comprising at least one waterproof bag containing a reactive material, the chemical reaction being carried out by perforating the bag and bringing it into contact with a liquid.
This device is characterized by the fact that several identical pockets are connected to each other by a flexible tear strip.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view.
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the device forming a ring.
Fig. 3 shows an example of the use of one of the heating elements.
We see at the fi-. 1 two waterproof pockets 1, of trapezoidal section, connected by a strip 2. The dotted line appearing on the strip indicates the line along which the latter can be torn to enable the pockets to be separated from one another. This strip is made of a flexible material and makes it possible to surround a container to be heated with pockets. It can be seen in particular in FIG. 2 such a heating device shaped as a cylinder and capable of surrounding a container of equivalent shape.
On the contrary, depending on the nature of the container and the heating conditions, it may be advantageous to separate the bags from one another in order to use them individually or to form particular assemblies. We see in fig. 3 an example of use where one of these bags has been immersed directly in a liquid to be heated. Each of the bags contains a reactive product, which is stored in a sealed manner until use thereof. When this reactive product consists of quicklime, it suffices to pierce the pocket with a few openings and to bring the quicklime into contact with water to cause the heating reaction.
Thus, in order to heat a container of any shape, it is covered with pockets the walls of which have been pierced several times beforehand and on either side and the liquid which is to cause the heating reaction is introduced through these openings.
Of course, the pockets could have a different shape, cubic or spherical for example, and their walls could be provided with push-in openings, so as to facilitate their use.
