Selbstabgleichender Kompensator

EMI2.1
R18 Ri R19 = R (1x2) R18 (1X) wobei x = s U : Speisespannung lm : maximal zulässiger Strom des Transistors

R I-Um ''m
RA= (R29+R2l+R22+RLeitlmg)
Self-balancing compensator
The invention relates to a self-balancing compensator which is suitable as a direct current amplifier or as a measuring transducer for measuring purposes, preferably for remote measuring purposes.
Self-balancing compensators contain a measuring mechanism without directional force, e.g. B. a directing forceless galvanometer or a Ferrari measuring mechanism to which the quantity to be measured is fed. This measuring mechanism is provided with a scanning device which controls an amplifier. The amplifier supplies a direct current which mechanically or electrically affects the measuring mechanism and compensates for the effect of the input variable. A distinction is made between different circuits depending on the way in which the output current of the amplifier affects the input measuring unit. In the torque compensation circuit, the output current of the amplifier flows through a second measuring unit, which is mechanically connected to the input measuring unit and generates a counter-torque to it.
The Lindeck-Rothe circuit and the suction circuit each contain a single measuring mechanism, namely a galvanometer without directional force, to which the input variable, which in this case is a direct voltage or a direct current, is fed and to which the output of the amplifier is electrically connected. In the steady state, the output current of the amplifier is proportional to the input variable with self-adjusting compensators and can operate display devices and be guided over great distances with practically no effect on the input variable.
In the case of the known self-balancing compensators, a distinction is made between two variants, namely one in which the zero point of the output current of the amplifier is at the start of the range that can be covered by the output current, and a second in which this zero point is in the middle of the range. The first variant has the disadvantage that the output current of the amplifier is never completely zero, since an amplifier has a minimal residual current even in the blocked state.
With an input variable of zero, the residual current therefore slowly moves the measuring mechanism in the relevant direction up to an existing stop.
If the measured variable suddenly reaches a value deviating from zero, the measuring mechanism must first be brought from the stop into the position corresponding to the zero point, in order to then move beyond this to adopt a position corresponding to the measuring mechanism. This results in a delay in the compensation process and a considerable overshoot of the measuring mechanism, as it collects kinetic energy during the start-up path.
The second variant does not have this disadvantage.
When measuring quantities with only one polarity, however, the center position of the zero point restricts the usable range in an uneconomical manner, since only less than half of the range that can be covered by the output current can be used for the measurement purpose.
The present invention relates to a self-balancing compensator with at least one measuring mechanism on which, in addition to the measured variable, the output current of an amplifier that actuates a display device acts and is characterized in that the zero point of the output current divides the area that can be covered by this output current into two unequal parts.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing.
Show it :
1 shows a circuit diagram of a self-balancing compensator in a torque compensation circuit,
2 shows an embodiment of the associated measuring mechanisms,
3 to 7 diagrams to explain the function of the device according to the invention.
In FIG. 1, the input terminals 1 are supplied with a direct current i to be measured, which flows through the coil 2 of a measuring mechanism without directional force. This coil is connected to a scanning device, not shown, e.g. B. the flag of a bolometer, connected by which in a known manner an opposite change in the resistance value of two opposing states 3 and 4 is caused. The resistors 3, 4 are connected with resistors 5, 6 and a potentiometer 7 to form a current bridge to which a push-pull amplifier formed by transistors 8 to 11 and resistors 12 to 19 is connected.
The series circuit of a coil 20 of a further measuring mechanism without directional force, a display galvanometer 21 and a resistor 22 is connected to the output of the push-pull amplifier formed by the collectors of the transistors 10 and 11. The circuit described is connected to the poles +, - of a DC voltage source.
An embodiment of the measuring mechanisms containing the coils 2 and 20 is shown in FIG. These coils are fastened with the aid of pipe sections 23 on a balance beam 25 rotatable with an axis 24. They are each located in the magnetic field of a permanent magnet 26 or 27. The two coils 2 and 20 are mechanically connected to one another by the bar 25, so that the torque generated by the output current ii of the push-pull amplifier in the coil 20 corresponds to that of the current i in the Coil 2 counteracts generated torque and compensates for this. The pivoting movement of the beam 25 is limited by stops 28.
In Fig. 3, the values of the resistors 17, 18, 19 and the resistor combination 20 to 22 are given as a function of a parameter value x, where I-, and 1-4-, the absolute + s values of the greatest output current of the amplifier in both directions are. If the zero point of the output current of the amplifier is at the beginning of the range that can be covered by the output current, the nominal value is I, = 0 and consequently x = 0. If the zero point of the output current of the amplifier is in the middle of the range, the absolute values of I¯s and are I +, equal, so that x = 1. In the diagram, the course of the resistance values of the resistors 17 to 19 is denoted by R17 to Rs9.
R is the sum of the resistances of parts 20, 21, 22 and the associated line. It can be seen from this that when x = 1, R17 = RI8 and Rl = 0.
In all other cases, R, 7 is always greater than the sum of RI8 and R, 9. The values of the resistors 17 to 19 can be calculated from the following formulas:
EMI2.1
R18 Ri R19 = R (1x2) R18 (1X) where x = s U: supply voltage lm: maximum permissible current of the transistor
10 or 11
Um: minimum voltage between the line + and the collector of 10 resp.
11 (which occurs when the collector current has the value l, l,)
R I-Um '' m
RA = (R29 + R2l + R22 + RLeitlmg)
In FIG. 4, the course of the output current il is shown in a known device with a setpoint of the parameter value x = 0 as a function of the angular position of the balance beam 25 (FIG. 2). sol and 4 are the deflections corresponding to the two stops 28, the actual working range is between cep2 and çs. Between fl and 2, the output current il is practically blocked, except for a minimal residual current lt.
Between / 2 and W3 the output current has the value I; controlled to the nominal value 1+. In addition, the current initially continues to grow and reaches the saturation value l + 5. The residual current IR, which is unavoidable with this device, has the consequence that, when the measured value is zero, the balance beam 25 with the two coils 2 and 20 is slowly moved up to the stop.
FIG. 5 shows the time profile of the output current il in a device corresponding to FIG. 4 in the event of a sudden change in the measured value from 0 to any value lying in the measuring range. There is a dead time between t = 0 and t = to, during which the amplifier does not react, since the balance beam 25 in FIG. 2 must first pass through the angular positions between q 1 and SP2. Only after the balance arm 25 has reached the angular position S does the output current rise with subsequent overshoot until the final value of the output current il is reached at t = tl.
The dead time and the settling time required due to the large overshoot are unfavorable.
In FIG. 6, the course of the output current of a device according to the invention is shown with a parameter value x = 0.1. In this case, the smallest value of the output current il is not a residual current IR, but a negative saturation current 1¯5-With this device, the balance arm 25 is not moved against the stop at (p, but remains in position cep2, when the measured value is zero) since the negative output current flowing in the area between the positions çl and q-, causes a movement of the balance beam 25 with the coils 2 and 20 in the direction of the position t2.
Since the balance bar is always in the correct starting position when the measured value is zero, the dead time that appears in FIG. 5 and the associated overshoot do not apply in the event of a sudden change in the measured value. The corresponding time profile of the output current il is shown in FIG. As can be seen from this FIG. 7, the self-balancing compensator according to the invention reacts in the zero position much faster and more precisely to changes in the measured value than the known devices in which the zero point of the output current is at the beginning of the range that can be covered.
The shifting of the zero point causes a slight shift in the measuring range in the device according to the invention, which, as can be seen from a comparison between FIGS. 5 and 6, has practically no effect on the available measuring range when measuring values with only one polarity . This is again a significant advantage over the known devices in which the zero point is in the middle of the range that can be covered by the output current.
In addition, the device according to the invention, in the case of a measured variable which can assume different polarities with unequal nominal end values for each polarity, has the advantage that the range that can be covered by the output current can be better adapted to these nominal end values. In such a case, the parameter x is not selected in the region of 0.1, as in the example described, which relates to measured quantities with only one polarity, but can assume any advantageous value. In the known device, in which the zero point is in the middle of the range that can be covered by the output current, the range of one or the other polarity and thus the entire device would be poorly utilized depending on the size of the unequal nominal end values.
It goes without saying that the application of the inventive concept is not restricted to the described amplifier and the torque compensation circuit. In the Lindeck-Rothe circuit and in the suction circuit, the coil 20 in FIG. 1 is replaced by a resistor, and the voltage drop across this is fed to a single measuring mechanism in a known manner, together with the input variable, depending on the circuit.
