Scissors The invention relates to scissors, which are characterized in that an eye provided with a bore is arranged on one side of the one cutting jaw, in which a rod-shaped organ with a scale is inserted, on which organ a ver slidable and lockable fabric edge stop is postponed.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. 1 shows a side view of the scissors and FIG. 2 shows a plan view of one narrow side thereof. The scissors have two cutting jaws la and 16. On the outside of the cutting jaw la, an eye 2 with a bore 3 with an internal thread is attached for example by welding. In the Boh tion 3 is one with an external thread verse Hene end of a rod to be used as a scale round rod 4 is screwed, on which there is a scale 8, the z. B. allows reading of masses in millimeters, with the zero point of the scale in the cutting plane of the scissors.
The sleeve-shaped end of a rail-shaped organ to be used as a fabric edge stop 5 is pushed onto the round rod 4 and can be determined by means of an adjusting screw 7 at the desired distance from the cutting plane of the scissors. The side face of the fabric edge facing the scissors stop 5 serves as the edge stop side 6, which is fully formed and is parallel to the cutting plane of the scissors. The free end of the fabric edge stop 5 is designed as a guide head 9.
Before the scissors are used, the material edge stop 5 is to be adjusted to the desired size after loosening the adjusting screw 7 with the aid of the scale 4. set and secure in the relevant position by tightening the screw so that the selected distance is present between the fabric stop side 6 and the cutting line of the cutting jaws and the fabric edge comes to rest on the fabric stop side.
Using these scissors, the materials to be cut can be processed with precise dimensions, so that subsequent corrections can practically be avoided.
Since the rod-shaped organ 4 can be removed with the fabric edge stop 5, the scissors can also be used without these accessories. In the embodiment shown, the organ 4 is designed as a round rod. However, the part of the organ adjoining the threaded part and bearing the scale can also be flat or have a rectangular cross-section.
