Die Erfindung wird anhand zweier je ein Ausfüh rungsbeispiel des Verfahrens gemäss der Erfindung be treffenden Abbildungen beispielsweise näher erläutert. Dabei zeigen: Fig. 1 eine das erste Ausführungsbeispiel betref fende Figur, wobei sich in der Eingriffsstrecke nur geradzahlige Flankenberührungsteilstrecken aneinan derreihen und der Wälzpunkt an der Übergangsstelle zweier dieser Teilstrecken liegt; Fig. 2 eine das zweite Ausführungsbeispiel betref fende Figur, wobei sich abwechselnd geradzahlige und ungeradzahlige Flankenberührungsteilstrecken anein anderreihen und der Wälzpunkt in einer geradzahli gen Flankenberührungsteilstrecke liegt;
Be trag, z.

Fig. 6) des Werkzeugs benutzt werden.
Method for fine or finish machining of gears by toothed tools, in particular shaving wheels, and tools for performing the method. The invention relates to a method for fine or finish machining of gears, e.g. B. on straight or helical toothed spur gears with involute teeth, by toothed tools, e.g. B.
rotating, such as shaving wheels, lapping wheels, grinding wheels, wheels for press smoothing (burnishing), Schneckenför shaped tools or the like, as well as reciprocating rack-like tools, the tool and workpiece rolling on one another without backlash in their teeth.
Up to now, so-called flank pits often appeared on the workpiece flanks during the fine or finish machining of the tooth flanks of pre-toothed workpieces. Up to now, no satisfactory method has become known whereby one can prevent the occurrence of such flank pits.
The purpose of the invention is to achieve good flank shapes during fine machining or finishing of the tooth flanks on pre-toothed workpieces that correspond to the flank shapes of the fine machining tools.
The method according to the invention is characterized in that when the workpiece and tool are rolled in the contact sections, only gear-numbered flank contact sections are lined up if the pitch point is at least approximately at the transition point between two of these flank contact sections, at least approximately at one end or outside the contact sections is that, on the other hand, alternating even-numbered and odd-numbered flank contact sections are lined up in the meshing sections if the pitch point lies within an even-numbered flank contact section and an odd-numbered flank contact section is directly adjacent to the part of an even-numbered flank contact section
where a smaller average tooth force occurs because of the location of the pitch point than in the aforementioned odd-numbered flank contact part.
The invention also relates to a toothed tool for carrying out this method, which is characterized in that only an even number of tooth flanks are simultaneously engaged in the meshing sections when rolling off one after the other and the pitch point is the meshing sections at the transition point between two such contact states divides corresponding sections or is located at the end or outside of the contact sections that, on the other hand, alternately an even and uneven number of flanks touch at the same time when the pitch point lies within a section corresponding to an even-numbered contact condition.
The invention will be explained in more detail, for example, with reference to two illustrations relating to one embodiment of the method according to the invention. 1 shows a figure relating to the first exemplary embodiment, with only even-numbered flank contact sections being aneinan derreihen and the rolling point at the transition point between two of these sections; 2 shows a figure relating to the second embodiment, with alternating even-numbered and odd-numbered flank contact sections in rows and the rolling point lies in a straight-numbered flank contact section;
3 shows an engagement pattern between the tool and the workpiece in the normal section of the gears; FIG. 4 shows an engagement path according to FIG. 3, which has two, three and four-flank contact sections and on the basis of which the finding of the flank contact sections is explained in conjunction with FIG. 3; 5 tooth forces acting on the workpiece flanks when two flanks come into contact; FIG. 6 shows a force corner of the tooth forces according to FIG. 5.
If the toothed tool and the toothed workpiece roll off one another in their toothing, the flank contact points migrate on the lines of action, and it is well known that two, three, four, five or six tool and workpiece flanks touch each other during a tooth engagement. The sections of the contact sections corresponding to these contact states are called two-, three-, four-, five- or six-flank contact sections.
In the embodiment according to Fig. 1, the workpiece data are: the module m = 4 mm, the number of workpiece teeth z1 = 25, the pressure angle ao = 20, the workpiece helix angle ss01 = 30 (helix direction: left), the workpiece profile shift factor x1 = + 0.968, the workpiece tooth head height h1,1 = 6.65 mm, the workpiece outside diameter d;, 1 = 128.78 mm. The tool data in the embodiment according to FIG. 1 are: the module m = 4 mm, the number of tool teeth z2 = 61, the pressure angle a ". = 20, the tool helix angle ss.2 = 20 (helix direction: right), the tool profile shift factor x2 = + 0.3, the tool tooth head height h1; 2 = 4.95 mm, the tool outside diameter da2 = 269.56 mm.
The pre-machined workpiece described above and the tool are rolled onto each other for fine or finished machining of the workpiece in their teeth without backlash. The choice of the tool and workpiece data listed ensures that only four and two tool and workpiece flanks alternately touch each other at the same time. Each of the two contact sections is thus divided into the so-called four-flank and two-flank contact sections mentioned. One of the two A handle stretches, namely that of the workpiece, is shown in FIG.
The workpiece tooth tip end of the meshing path shown is labeled K and its workpiece tooth root end is labeled F. The four-flank contact section e4 ″ to which the two-flank contact section e2 and then the four-flank contact section e42 adjoin. The rolling point W lies at the transition point from the two-flank contact section e2 to the four-flank contact section e42.
It could also be located approximately at the transition point, at least approximately at one end, or outside the path of contact. During the rolling process, the flank contact points move on the lines of action. At the four-flank contact sections e41, e42, four flanks of tool and workpiece touch each other simultaneously, while on section e2 two flanks of tool and workpiece touch each other at the same time.
In Fig. 2, which relates to a second embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, the work piece data are: the module m = 4 mm, the number of workpiece teeth z1 = 25, the pressure angle a "= 20, the workpiece bevel angle ss01 = 30 (helix direction: left), the Workpiece profile shift factor x1 = -f- 0.968, the workpiece outside diameter d "1 = 129.3 mm. The tool data in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 are: the module m = 4 mm, the number of tool teeth z .., = 61, the pressure angle a "= 20, the tool helix angle, ss" 2 = 20 (helix direction: right), the tool profile shift factor x2 = -f-0.3, the tool outside diameter d, 12 is between 269.79 mm and 270.78 mm.
The workpiece data of the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 differ from those of the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1 only with regard to the outer diameter. Likewise, the tool data of the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 differ from those of the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1 only with regard to the outside diameter. However, this has the consequence that, in addition to the even-numbered flank contacting sub-trees, there are also odd-numbered ones.
As can be seen from Fig. 2, there is a four-flank contact section e41 at the tooth tip end K of the illustrated engagement section e, on wel che, viewed in the direction of the workpiece tooth root F, a three-flank contact section e31, then a two-flank contact section e Connect the flank contact section e42 and finally a three-flank contact section e3,3.
The pitch point W lies within the four-flank contact segment e42. The distance of the rolling point W from the workpiece tooth tip end K of the meshing path is denoted by e1,1 in FIG. 2 and its distance from the workpiece tooth root end F of the meshing path is designated by e1; 2.
In FIG. 2, the distribution of the mean tooth force P, r, is plotted over the contact distance e. P "is the arithmetic mean of the tooth force P1 acting on the left workpiece flank and the tooth force PI acting on the right workpiece flank of the same tooth.
The tooth forces P1 and P are different due to the tooth friction and because of the reversal of the frictional force on the pitch circle; Due to the mostly one-time or frequent change of the direction of rotation, the mean tooth force P, "is sufficient when considering the force distribution. The mean tooth force P," is significantly greater on the central three-flank contact section e32 than on the other two three-flank contact sections e31 and e33 . The mean tooth force P ″ is approximately constant within a flank contact section if the pitch point is not located in this flank contact section.
In the example shown in FIG. 2, the pitch point W lies within the four-flank contact section e42, so that the mean tooth force changes abruptly within this four-flank contact section. At the part e42 'of the four-flank contact section e42, the position of the pitch point causes a reduction in the mean tooth force P ". The same phenomenon occurs at the four-flank contact section e41, at the part e41' of which, likewise caused by the position of the pitch point W, a reduction the mean tooth force is present.
If a tool and a workpiece flank touch each other at the pitch point W within the four-flank contact section e42, then at the same time a tool flank and a workpiece flank touch each other at the same time a base circle division away from it in the four-flank contact section e41.
The reversal of the frictional force at the pitch point W thus also has an effect on the four-flank contact section e41, since the resultant from the tooth forces on the left tooth flanks and the resultant from the tooth forces on the right tooth flanks with the radial force (which results from the contact pressure of the movement stuff) must be in balance at every wheel position.
In the example shown in FIG. 2, even-numbered (e41, e2, e42) and odd-numbered flank contact sections e31, e32, e33 are lined up next to one another, with the pitch point W lying within an even-numbered flank contact section e42 and an odd-numbered flank contact section e32 directly adjoining the part e42 'of an even-numbered flank contact section e42 at which, because of the position of the pitch point W, a smaller average tooth force P "occurs than in the odd-numbered flank contact section mentioned.
In this case, as shown in FIG. 2, an odd-numbered flank contact segment e33 is located at the workpiece tooth root end F of the meshing path.
The invention defines a small dimension range of the workpiece or tool dimensions in which the most favorable dimensions are. Especially with small numbers of workpiece teeth or a large module, especially with straight toothed spur gears, small flanks pitted on the workpiece tooth flanks occasionally occur in the aforementioned dimension range, which can be switched off by the measures mentioned below.
If workpiece flank pits with a sloping tooth tip occur during the fine machining of the workpiece tooth flanks, these can essentially or entirely be avoided by reducing the dimensional ratio
EMI0003.0021
z. B. by 0.02, where at (as can be seen from Fig. 2) e represents the length of the path of contact and c represents the distance of the workpiece tooth root F of the path of contact from the center point A of an even-numbered flank contact section.
A flank pit with a sloping tooth tip is present if the flank diagram curve from the workpiece tooth tip to the workpiece tooth root, viewed from the workpiece tooth tip to the workpiece tooth root, increases from a mean value to a maximum value, then drops to a minimum value and then rises again. In order to achieve a reduction in the dimensional ratio dl, the tooth tip height of the tool can be reduced by a small amount before rolling, e.g. B. 0.1 mm, can be reduced, e.g.
B. by blending. Furthermore, a reduction in dl can be achieved in that new workpieces are used, the tooth tip height of which by a small amount, e.g. B. 0.1 mm, is enlarged. Furthermore, a reduction of dl can be achieved by the fact that the profile shift and the tooth tip height of the tool before rolling by a small amount, e.g. B. 0.1 mm, can be reduced.
If, during fine machining of the workpiece tooth flanks, workpiece flank pits occur with flank shapes incorrectly deviating against the direction of the tooth profile center line at the tooth tip (in short: workpiece flank pits with rising tooth tip), these can be essentially or completely avoided by increasing the dimensional ratio
EMI0003.0042
z. B. by 0.02.
A flank pit with a rising tooth tip is present when the involute diagram curve from the workpiece tip to the workpiece tooth root drops from a maximum value to a minimum value (flank pit), then rises to a second maximum value and then drops again. An increase in dl can be achieved in that the. Tooth tip height of the workpiece compared to the previously used tooth tip height by a small amount, e.g. B. 0.1 mm, is reduced.
Furthermore, an enlargement of dl can be achieved in that a new or different tool is used, the tooth tip height of which is reduced by a small amount before the Ab- rolling, e.g. B. 0.1 mm, ver is larger. An increase in dl can also be achieved by reducing the profile shift of the tool by a small amount before it starts rolling. Amount, e.g. B. 0.1 mm, is reduced without changing the tool tooth head height.
The purpose of the invention is achieved in the simplest way that a tool is first processed and / or used with dimensions that match the workpiece dimensions of the condition
EMI0004.0004
correspond to the fact that then the tool tooth head height is gradually increased by small amounts, e.g.
B. 0.1 mm, ver is shortened until the tool produces perfect workpiece flanks (without flank pits), where v = 0, 1, 2 ... and 43 represents the reciprocal value of the intervention time. The procedure here is that a tool is first made or used with such a profile shift that matches the dimensions of the work pieces to be processed
EMI0004.0012
corresponds, with the distance of contact between Werk- ze.ug and workpiece by a small amount, z.
B. 0.25 - m, is greater than the contact distance between the workpiece and its counterpart, and with such a tooth tip height that by a small amount, z. B. up to 0.5 mm, is greater than that of the condition
EMI0004.0020
appropriate. In the numerical example on which FIG. 2 is based, an outer tool diameter da2 = 269.78 mm would correspond to a dimensional ratio d1 = 0.5. The tool is, according to the previous explanations, so expediently initially with a larger outer diameter, z. B. with d "2 = 270.78 mm, and then the outside diameter of the tool step by step by small amounts, e.g.
B. each Weil by 0.1 mm, shortened until the tool produces a smooth workpiece flank shape (without pitting flanks).
If the tool flanks are worn out or damaged during the fine machining of workpieces that are approximately the same, the tool can be reworked on the tooth flanks. The procedure here is expediently so that when reworking, e.g. B. sharpening, a tool, the profile shift and tooth tip height of the tool are reduced by such amounts that the dimension ratio d1 after rework is approximately equal to the dimension ratio 41 before rework.
If a tool pits small workpiece flanks and there is the option of changing the workpiece tooth head height somewhat (most gear transmissions tolerate small outside diameter changes), a workpiece can first be manufactured and / or used which has different tooth head heights, e.g. B. a gear with eccentric cal tip circle whose mean outer diameter with the dimensions of the tool of the condition
EMI0004.0031
corresponds. In such a finely machined workpiece, the tooth flanks have different flank shapes. For the tooth that has the best flank shape, the tooth tip height is determined by measuring.
A series of workpieces can then be produced with the tooth tip height determined in the above manner and then finely machined with the tool.
The relationship between the usual gear data for module m = 1 and '1 and 43 is given, for example, by the following relationships:

Other, but equivalent mathematical relationships to the above mathematical relationships, which relate to the dimensional ratios Al and A3 and the flank contact sections, are described in Austrian Patent No. 188627.
Finding the flank contact sub-sections is explained below with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4: In FIG. 3 there is an engagement image between a tool Wz and a workpiece Ws for the purpose Case shown that a tool tooth is symmetrical to the connecting line MM of the two wheel centers. In this position, the tool and workpiece flanks touch at four points A1, A3, B1, B3 on the contact paths e. One of the two engagement stretches e with the head end K and the foot end F (based on the workpiece tooth) is shown in FIG.
The distance between the flank contact point A1 and the point A3 (as well as the distance between the point Bi and the point B3) is equal to the basic circle t .. If the tool Wz (shown above in Fig. 3) rotates by a small amount, so that a flank contact point migrates on an engagement path e from A 1 to K, the three remaining edge contact points A3, B1, B3 also migrate by the amount A1K on the engagement paths e to the left. During this small rotation, four flanks of the tool and workpiece touch each other at the same time.
The section A1K is thus part of a so-called four-flank contact section e41 (FIG. 4), just as the section of the amount A1K adjoining A3 on the left is part of a four-flank contact section e42.
If the tool rotates from the position shown in FIG. 3 so that the four flank contact points of A1, A3, B1, B3 wan to the right by the amount A1K (= BA on the contact paths e, four-flank contact also takes place. The flank contact points A1, As, B1, B3 thus represent the center points of the four-flank contact sub-sections e41 and e42 of equal length (as is indicated in FIG. 4 for one of the contact sections e).
If the tool Wz is rotated by half a pitch from the position shown in Fig. 3, a workpiece tooth is symmetrical to the connec tion line M-M of the two wheel centers, and so only two flanks of the tool and workpiece touch at points A2 and B2. With a further rotation clockwise or counterclockwise, two flanks touch each other until a third flank of the tool and workpiece on the work piece foot end F of an engagement path e comes into engagement.
The transition from a two-flank contact section e2 (FIG. 4) to a three-flank contact section e31 is a base circle pitch t "away from the workpiece tooth root end F of an engagement section (corresponding to the flank distance). A2 (as well as B2) represents the center of a two-plane - the contact segment e2.
In addition to the even-numbered flank contact sections e2, e41, e42, the three-flank contact sections e31, e32, e33, which have the same lengths, also remain on the engagement sections (FIG. 4).
With the help of the distance e of the base circle division tg. and the position of a symmetry point Ai (where i = 1, 2 ... ) (in the following, the flank contact points are referred to as symmetry points in such a wheel position in which either a tool or a workpiece tooth is symmetrical to Connecting line MM of the two wheel center points), the construction of the flanks contacting partial sections can be carried out easily. For this purpose, it is necessary to enter the symmetry points Ai on a contact path e (similar to Fig. 4), the mutual spacing of which is half the base circle division (in Fig.
4 with
EMI0005.0033
marked) is the same, and the basic circle division t6 is to be removed from the head end K and foot end F once. For each engagement change point obtained in this way (in Fig. 4 the transition points from e31 to e2 and from e32 to e42) as well as to K and F, a further engagement change point can be set symmetrically to one of the symmetry points Ai (e.g. with a compass) enter.
Thus, in FIG. 4, the distance A2e31.2 (e31,2 means the transition point from e31 to e2) can be plotted from A2 to the right in order to obtain e2,32 (transition point from e2 to e32). By subtracting the distance A3e32,42 from A3 to the right, the change point e42,33 'results. Finally, by subtracting the distance A1K from A1 to the right, the change point e41.31 can be found.
In Fig. 5 and Fi'g. 6 shows how the tooth forces acting on the workpiece tooth flanks during the fine machining process can be determined in a simple manner.
In FIG. 5, in the normal section of the teeth, the tooth forces PI and Pr acting on the workpiece at the flank contact points A2, B2 are plotted, the lines of action of which are inclined to the engagement distances e by the friction angle o, in the event that the tool rotates clockwise according to the arrow n. The radial contact pressure AR (see FIG. 6) of the tool can be used as the unit of measurement. From the closed static force corners (similar to FIG. 6), the tooth forces PI and Pr for each point of the workpiece tooth flanks can be determined in a known manner.
The mean tooth force Pm is then the arithmetic mean of the tooth forces P1 and Pr - A (see Fig. 6) and represents the total force exerted by the tool on the workpiece.
