Kontakt kommen darf.
Magnetic Pump The present invention relates to a magnetic pump.
The pump according to the invention is characterized by a housing in which a liquid pump space is provided which is delimited by a wall made of magnetizable material, which is thinner than the other delimiting walls of this space and has a conical part protruding towards the space mentioned , a swash plate mounted in this space, a rotor with a magnetically excited or magnetically energized or rotatable axis about an axis running through the center of the said conical part.
excitable core, which has an extension made of magnetizable material, the free end of which is arranged at least approximately parallel to the conical part and at a distance from the same and which extension is asymmetrical with respect to said axis, drive means for the rotor, such that when Drive of the same the extension attracts the swash plate locally and gives it a wobbling motion,
wherein the rotor carries a counterweight made of non-magnetizable material, which compensates for the imbalance of the extension and whose free end face is arranged at a distance from the conical part.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing. There are shown: FIG. 1 a plan view, FIG. 2 an elevation with partial section, FIG. 3 a section along the line 3-3 in FIG. 2, FIG. 4 a section of individual parts of the pump,
5 shows a view along the line 5-5 in FIG. 4 and FIG. 6 shows a part of FIG. 2 on a larger scale. The pump shown has a housing 10 made of magnetizable metal, e.g. B. made of iron, with a cylindrical outer wall 11 and a closed end wall 12, on which a carrier 13 made of non-magnetizable metal is attached by means of bolts.
An electric motor 14 is fastened to this carrier 14, this motor 14 and the housing 10 being arranged on a base plate 15. A cover 16 with an edge 17 closes the other side of the housing 10. It is removably set in a bore 18 of this housing 10 in such a way that the edge 17 is aligned with the edge 19 of the housing. This cover 16 forms part of the housing of a pump 20, which is attached or supported on a removable ble, inserted in the bore 18 partition wall 21.
The housing 10 is divided by this wall 21 into an axially inner rotor chamber 22 and an outer pump chamber 23.
The partition wall 21 has a relatively large central opening 24 with an annular flange 26, the latter protruding to the front, that is to say to the right in FIG. This flange 26 is used to receive and center a corresponding annular seat 25 of a ring 27. This ring 27, the inner surface 52 of which is spherical, delimits the pump chamber 47.
Its flat outer rim 28 is in relation to the plane of the edge 19 of the outer wall 11 is set back slightly. The cover 16 has a central hub 30 which has a flange 29 on the inside. This flange 29 bil det a shoulder surface 31 which rests against the edge 28 of the element 27. Between this element 27 and the cover 16 there is a sealing washer 32 made of a flexible material, e.g. B. made of rubber, used.
The element 27 is resiliently clamped between the wall 21 and the cover 16 by means of a clamping rod 33. This clamping rod 33 has at one end a hook 35 which is retained by a projection 36 of the housing 10, and at the other end means 34 to adjust the pressure exerted by this clamping rod on the cover 16 NEN. In between, the clamping rod is provided with the rounded portions 37 protruding, which are in contact with the cover 16.
The means 34 (Fig. 1) consist of a pivotably mounted on the housing 10 at 39 th bolt 38, the free end of which is guided through a slot 40 at one end of the clamping rod 33 and held by a wing nut 41. By pulling this wing nut 41, the cover 16 and the element 27 are pressed against the wall 21 in a centered manner.
Within the element 27, a relatively thin wall 43 made of magnetizable metal is set in a liquid-tight manner in an annular seat 44 (FIG. 5). The wall 43 is thinner than the remaining boundary walls of the room 47 and z. B.
attached to element 27 by soldering or welding. On the inner side, that is to say on the left in the drawing, an opening 45 in the element 27 is formed. The wall 43 delimiting the space 47 on the inside is frustoconical, has a flat end wall 46 at the smaller end and protrudes towards the space 47.
The concave side of the wall 43 is open to the chamber 22 via the opening 45. The hub 30 or the flange 29 of the cover 16 forms the outer wall of the space 47 and has a likewise frustoconical surface 49 which is net angeord at a distance from the corresponding side of the wall 43.
In other words, the right-hand conical surface of the wall 43 and the surface 49 of the cover 16 form oppositely converging surfaces, the whole being dimensioned and arranged such that a thin swash plate 50 made of magnetizable metal is in contact with parts of the two surfaces at the same time can stand (Fig. 2). The diameter of this swash plate 50 is only slightly smaller than that of the inner surface 52 which delimits the space 47.
This surface 52 is curved, its center of curvature lying on the longitudinal axis 63 passing through the center of the conical part 65 of the wall 43. In all positions of the swash plate 50, the edge of this swash plate 50 is in contact with this surface 52 and can not assume a position that would prevent automatic centering of the swash plate 50 with electrical generation of a magnetic flow in the device.
The swash plate 50 always divides the space 47 into two parts, which are approximately wedge-shaped and each arranged on one side of this plate. These parts of the space 47 communicate practically only through the central opening 54 of the swash plate 50, which opening lies axially opposite the inlet 55 of the cover 16. The flow cross-sections of the opening 54 and this inlet are at least approximately the same.
The inlet 55 extends through a nozzle 56 of the lid 16; the outer surface of this connection piece is provided with a thread for the purpose of attaching a connection line (Fig. 2). This line can be connected to a supply source from wel cher the liquid, for. B. milk flows under its own weight into the pump. The element 27 is provided with a tangentially arranged connecting piece 42 which extends through a slot 11a (FIGS. 1 and 4) in the housing wall 11.
The connector 42 communicates with the space 47 via an outlet 42a. The connector 42 likewise has a thread for connecting a line. The clamping rod 33 has an opening 33a through which the connecting piece 56 extends (FIG. 2).
The swash plate 50 expediently has an annular, flat, inclined rib 57 on the side of the wall 43. This rib 57 and the flat part 58 of the swash plate 50 form a concave guide surface 59 of V-shaped cross-section for the angled edge 60 of the wall 43 (Fig. 5, 6). The functional connection of these parts will be explained in more detail later. Thanks to this arrangement, an automatic centering of the swash plate 50 is achieved so that it can easily tumble while the pump is working.
In order to generate such a wobbling movement, a drive shaft 61 is provided which extends from the motor 14 into the chamber 22. A cylindrical rotor 62 made of magnetizable metal is attached to this drive shaft 61, e.g. B. wedged. The water rotor 62 has a one-piece extension 64 with it, which forms an angle with the rotor axis 63 about which the rotor rotates. The face of this extension forms part of a conical surface which is practically parallel to the conical surface of the part 65 of the wall 43 lying on the concave side.
Between these surfaces there is an air gap which is sufficient to allow the magnetic flux to be transmitted through the rotor 62 and its extension 64 to the wall 43. An electrical coil 66 mounted in space 22 around rotor 62 provides a source of constant magnetic flux. The coil 66 is mounted on a cylindrical sleeve 67 made of magnetizable material, which is fastened to the wall 12, an air gap being provided between this sleeve 67 and the rotor 62 through which the magnetic flux from the sleeve 67 to the rotor 62 is provided got.
Since the housing 10 as a whole, that is to say the walls 11, 12 and the cover 16, are made of magnetizable metal, a continuous magnetic flux in the direction of the arrows in FIG. 2 is possible. The rotor 62 is continuously driven by the motor 14 so that the magnetic attraction force acting on the swash plate 50 causes the desired wobbling motion.
In order to avoid vibrations as a result of the design of the extension 64 being asymmetrical to the axis 63, a counterweight 69 made of non-magnetizable metal, e.g. B. made of brass, provided, has the same shape and weight as this extension 64 and is attached to the rotor 62 diametrically to this. This counterweight, the free end face of which is also at a distance from the conical part 65, thus remains without any effect on the swash plate 50.
The pump shown works as follows: If z. B. Milk that gets into the pump under the effect of its own weight, who needs to be pumped, the motor 14 will drive the rotor 62 continuously so that the extension 64 rotates relatively quickly about the axis 63. As a result, a wobble movement is generated thanks to the magnetic force of attraction through the wall 43, to be precise without any significant rotational movement of the wobble plate 50.
This always remains at the same angle with respect to the longitudinal axis 63, since it is guided by the mutually facing frustoconical surfaces of the parts 43 and 29. The swash plate 50 also always remains axially opposite the inlet 55 with its opening 54, since the edge 60 always remains in contact with the guide 59 formed by the rib 57 and the part 58. There are no other means, such as B. pin or tenon, necessary.
The milk that enters the space 47 fills the two parts of this space and is guided by the tumbling movement towards the outlet 42u with increased pressure. It passes through the nozzle 42 into another treatment device, e.g. B. a cream separator.
Thanks to the relatively large opening 54, the milk reaches both parts of the space 47 evenly, and the milk flow through the nozzle 56 remains even and constant. This means that no eddies are formed which could have a bad effect on the milk. The oscillation avoided by means of the balance weight 69 would not only be mechanically damaging, but would also be disadvantageous for the quality of the milk, with an even flow also no longer being possible.
When the engine 14 is switched off, the swash plate 50 is no longer magnetized and falls under the effect of its own weight in any position in which it is on the floor of the surface 52. Such a position is shown in FIG. The swash plate 50 lies against the wall 43 and its center point is slightly below the longitudinal axis 63. The plate is thus free in the rest position of the pump in space 47 and can tumble in any direction. So there are no fixed connections.
As soon as the motor 14 is started, the generated magnetic flux detects the swash plate 50, to be precise first at a point of less resistance, and causes the described tumbling movement. Since the edge of the opening 54 is within the movement path of the flux field generated by the movement of the extension 64, there is a tendency for the disc 50 to be drawn axially in a centered position. This position is then obtained as described.
In the dairy industry in particular, it is desirable that all machines can always be kept very clean and hygienic. The described pump is completely sealed against the entry of dirt into the space 47, be it from the outside or from the chamber 22 or from the chamber 23. It is sufficient to loosen the wing nut 41 to remove the rod 33. The cover 16, the seal 32, the swash plate 50 and the element 27 can then easily be removed from the housing 10. After cleaning, all these parts can be used again just as easily.
This pump is particularly useful where the treated fluid must never come into contact with bearing grease or oil.
