Electromagnetically operated diaphragm valve for liquid or gaseous media In known poppet valves with hydraulic actuation of the valve, the various passages necessary for actuation are arranged around the closing body, in particular in the wall of the housing or La gerungskörpers enclosing the latter. The production is relatively complicated and expensive. In addition, whoever the previously known solenoid valves from the closing organs actuated abruptly and therefore the liq fluid suddenly stopped.
As a result, unpleasant line strikes occur which, for example, in electromagnetically actuated valves, can damage the coil tube located between the magnetic coil and the armature moving in the liquid. Soldered connections of such parts are also at risk. The production has hitherto been relatively expensive and complicated due to the need to connect different parts by soldering. Another disadvantage, which afflicts the usual solenoid valves, is the fact that when they are revised, the entire solenoid valve usually has to be disconnected from the line.
The control organs and the flow organs are mechanically connected in such a way that the components subject to wear can only be accessed through complete removal. Likewise, the sealing parts are also embedded in the fixed structural parts that simultaneously represent the housing and, in the event of a leak, can only be replaced by dismantling the entire valve body. The parts that are subject to wear due to opening and closing are also subject to the complicated replacement operations described above.
A well-known valve has a diaphragm as a shut-off device, but the actuation of the diaphragm was not done directly, but indirectly through a separate electromagnetic valve or a shut-off valve.
The subject of the invention is an electromagnetically operated diaphragm valve for liquid or gaseous media, in which the closing body with the diaphragm combines all of the openings necessary for actuating the valve, so that there are no openings for actuation in the other components. Advantageously, all parts that act to seal the passage of the medium are also combined on the closing body. It is also useful to form those sealing parts in one piece, some of which are used for several purposes.
In a preferred embodiment, the closing body is penetrated by a fine opening which connects the inlet side of the membrane with the other side of the membrane having the larger pressure surface. A second opening, which leads from this area to the outlet, is closed by an electromagnetically actuated control needle, which is arranged centrally on directly above this opening.
In Fig. 1 of the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated in an axial section. Fig. 2 shows a detail of the valve, namely the closing body, consisting of only one piece. Fig. 3 shows a somewhat different embodiment of the invention, also in longitudinal section.
The illustrated in Fig. 1, electromagnetically be operated diaphragm valve for liquid or gaseous media has a valve housing formed from two parts 1 and 2 on. The lower housing part 1 has the opening for the connection of the inlet and outlet lines 8 and 9. This has the advantage that the valve can be revised by loosening the easily accessible screws 4 without being dismantled from the line.
Seals exposed to wear are completely replaced by exchanging the closing body 5 as a whole detail of the valve, which can happen in a few minutes. 3 is a membrane made of synthetic rubber, which is clamped between the edges of the housing halves 1 and 2 connected to one another by the screws 4, which are pressed against one another, and at the same time acts to seal the housing parts. In a concentric arrangement, the membrane carries the closing body 5, which is pressed with a sealing ring 6 against the annular seat 7 of the inlet opening 8. 9 is the outlet opening which is arranged in the lower housing part 1.
When the closing body 5 is lifted off the valve seat 7, a direct connection between the inlet opening 8 and the outlet opening 9 is established. The closing body 5 has a fine bore 10 connecting the inlet opening 8 with the housing space 11 located above the membrane 3 and a further bore 13 connecting the housing space 11 with the drainage space 12 located below the membrane. The leading into the housing space 11 mouth of the Boh tion 13 is closed by a valve needle 14 made of rustproof, non-magnetic material, which is arranged directly above this opening centrally.
The operation of the valve described is as follows: If, for example, water flows through the opening 8, a small part of it flows through the fine bore 10 into the space 11 of the valve housing located above the membrane 3 and, when the bore 13 is closed, causes the In this space now increasing pressure acting against the large surface of the upper side of the membrane 3 causes the inlet opening 8 to close slowly by the closing body 5.
If the valve needle 14 is now lifted from the opening of the bore 13 so that the pressure medium can flow out of the space 11 through the bore 13 to the outlet opening 9, the water pressure acting on the smaller end surface of the closing body 5 may move the closing body 5 upwards to press so that the water can now flow freely to the outlet '9. During the closing process, the valve needle 14 falls back onto the opening of the bore 13 and closes it, so that the pressure in the space 11 rises again and the body 5 moves downwards.
On the upper housing part 2, a cylindri cal housing 15 is placed, the end walls of which are penetrated by a coil tube 16 made of non-magnetic material. In the space of the bobbin case 15 there is a solenoid coil 17 seated on the bobbin tube 16. An iron core 18 is guided axially displaceably in the bobbin tube 16 and is pulled into the middle position with respect to it when the coil 17 is excited.
The iron core serves as a driver for the valve needle 14 and is penetrated by this in an axial bore 19. The two ends of the valve needle 14 protruding from the iron core are each provided with a stop collar 20 and 21.
When the coil is de-energized, the iron core rests on the inner collar 20 of the valve needle 14 and presses it onto the upper mouth of the borehole 13. When the coil is energized, the iron core 18 is pulled into its central position, against the upper collar 21 of the The valve needle strikes and lifts it off the closing body. The coil tube 16 passes through the upper end of the upper cover of the coil housing 15 and the lower end of the lower cover of the coil housing and the cover of the valve housing part 2.
The lower end of the coil tube 16 has an outwardly folded edge 22 with an elastic insert ring 23, while the upper end of the coil tube 16 has an inwardly laid edge 24 with an insert ring 25. In the upper end of the coil tube 16, a piston 26 resting against the insert ring 25 is also used, which bore 27 is provided with an axial thread.
A screw 28 screwed into this pulls by means of an abutment washer 29, which is supported on the upper cover of the coil housing 15, the coil tube 16 against the abutment 29 and thereby the housing 15 against the valve housing part 2, the elastic insert rings 23, 25 being an elastic Allow absorption of the clamping pressure caused by the screw 28. An elastic spacer sleeve 30 is inserted between the cover of the housing 15 and the coil 17, which secures the coil 17 in its position.
The bore 10 opens on the underside of the closing body 5 in a recess 31 in which a fine sieve 32 is inserted and is held in place by a clamping ring. This sieve secures the fine bore 10 against clogging and ensures high operational reliability of the valve. The bore 10 is divided into a larger bore and a short piece with a fine bore due to manufacturing advantages. The short piece with the fine bore consists of a plastic tube and forms a permanently set throttle opening 33. The closing speed of the valve is set with the diameter of this throttle point. The throttle piece is made of a material that is insensitive to the build-up of calcium.
It can also be built in the manner of a spinneret. Fig. 2 shows another exemplary embodiment from the closing body 35, the valve being only partially shown. The same consists entirely of a plastic and contains the openings 36 and 37, which correspond to the openings 10 and 13 in FIG. Fig. 3 shows a longitudinal section through a further embodiment of the subject invention. The essential parts of this example agree with the parts of FIG. The coil tube 38, however, is longer and has a sprung piston 39 at the top, which seals the spring chamber from the valve chamber 40.
This execution is particularly suitable where large fluctuations in the fluid pressure occur in the company. In such cases, the valve needle 14 often closes too quickly, so that the pressure in the space 40 would increase suddenly, which is undesirable given the thin walls of the coil tube is. The resiliently inserted piston now absorbs this pressure surge. This damping can be measured in a suitable manner by a fine drilling in the piston 39, which connects the space 40 with the spring space.
The valve described is particularly suitable for controlling the water supply in fully automatic washing machines and other automatically controlled processes in which liquid or gaseous media are used.
