Fig. 15 ein Zeltfenster und Fig. 16 den Einbau des Fensters.
Fig.8 zeigt die Verbindung von drei Zelten.
Tent Construction The present invention relates to a construction of a self-supporting, collapsible tent, which is constructed from at least two pairs of legs formed in the same way. The tent can be expanded as required. Furthermore, a complete tent with frame and canvas can be arranged with other, similar tents in a straight line, in Win kelform, arched, forked, star-shaped, etc. to.
Another purpose of the invention is to produce a tent that can be opened and demolished easily and quickly and only consists of a small number of individual parts. When folded, the tent is not very bulky, but when it is open it is very stable and is suitable for withstanding any weather, even without anchoring or stiffening. Due to the position of the legs, the vestibule is reduced. With a framework construction, large spans can be made possible for larger tents, whereby the free space in the tent is not impaired by poles, supports or the like.
The various parts of the tent frame can be designed in such a way that they can be put into separate parts. Several tent screens can e.g. B. be connected to each other ver by means of brackets, eyelets and side. By using an auxiliary canvas, a light- and watertight joint is obtained, which is advantageous for military tents. Tentlet wall to connect tents can, for. B. sewn to the tent and rolled up. A loose canvas can also be arranged in a similar way.
Tubing, angle iron, wooden structures, etc. can be used for the tent frame. The invention is illustrated in the drawing in various embodiments, for example. It shows: FIG. 1 a tent frame with four pairs of legs, FIG. 2 another embodiment of the tent ridge, FIG. 3 a tent frame for larger tents, FIG. 4 different embodiments of a sink protection plate, FIG. 5 another embodiment of a fixed frame part,
Fig. 6 and 7 two interconnected tents, Fig. 8 three interconnected tents, Fig. 9 is a schematic representation of the connection, Fig. 10 the connection of two complete tents with the same longitudinal axis, Fig. 11 a detail of the overlap the tent ridge, Fig. 12 the connection with a loose tent canvas, Fig. 13 a schematic representation of a light-tight tent connection, Fig. 14 a window opening for the light- and water-tight installation of loose tent windows,
15 shows a tent window and FIG. 16 shows the installation of the window.
The tent frame according to FIG. 1 consists of four pairs of legs. The outer leg pairs are each designed in the same way, and the same is the case with the inner leg pairs. Any number of pairs of legs can be used in this embodiment. Each pair of legs consists of a frame part 15 or 16 with connecting pieces 2a and 2b, in which the legs 1 are fastened in a hinge-like manner, so that they partly pivot out into a certain position , can partly be pivoted into a position against the frame part 15, 16.
The connecting piece 2a is seen ver with a hinge-like fastening device for a frame part 4, so that it can be swiveled partly into a certain position in the horizontal plane and partly swiveled into a position against the frame part 15, 16. The connecting piece 2b is provided with a tubular sleeve 5 into which the frame part 4 of the adjacent pair of legs can be inserted and secured by means of a wedge or the like, so that a stable tent frame is achieved. In addition to the pair of legs, in the present case four, the framework is provided with three ridge parts 12, 17 made of pipe.
The outer tubes 12 are of the same length, while the tube 17 is somewhat longer (all tubes between pairs of inner legs in constructions with more than four pairs of legs are of the same length). Thefixing device 6 serves partly as a fastening for the tent canvas wall on the tent frame, partly for connection to a tent peg 18 or the like for the purpose of anchoring the tent Ver.
The ridge tubes 12, 17 are ver see with pins 13 that are inserted into holes in the connecting plates 14 when the tent is opened, the z. B. on the underside at the highest point of the top tube of the fixed frame part 15, 16 are attached. The frame part consists of tube, but it can also be carried out in another way. Another embodiment of the frame part is shown in FIG. Articulated tubes can also be used instead of straight tubes with pins.
By using a loose ridge, which is held by its own weight and by the weight of the suitably designed canvas on the tent frame, you get a light, not very extensive construction in which you, after the canvas is pulled over, everywhere in Can move tent upright, and has a proper rainwater drainage.
The tent frame construction makes it possible to put the ridge system together before pitching the tent. At work you have an ideal working height and a full overview of all the individual parts. Any work above head height is avoided, which is particularly advantageous for larger and higher tents. When the tent is pitched, the canvas is unwrapped along the frame of the tent and carefully pulled down over it. The canvas is then pulled out so that it spans the framework.
When the tent is pitched, one longitudinal side of the frame is lifted so that the legs can slide upright on the ground. The frame is lifted so high that all legs above receive the inwardly inclined position, which position is determined by the connecting parts. Then the other long side is erected in the same way. Larger tents (5 X 8 meters) can be pitched in this way in less than 31 minutes. Corresponding tent sizes known to date often require 4 hours and more personnel.
The wear and tear is also not so great because the tent canvas does not have to be pulled over the tent frame at a great height. Even very large tents can therefore be made with a single piece of canvas. The weight of the canvas is irrelevant because it is placed at about the same height.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the tent ridge is made in two parts. Each part is attached in a hinge-like manner, so that the tubular parts can be swiveled against the top tube of the fixed frame part. A combination of hinges and pins can also be used. The one frame part 4b is provided with a pipe sleeve which receives the end of the other frame part 4a.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the fixed frame part is designed as a framework. In this construction, a stiffener is not required Lich, but such can be arranged, for. B. as at 19, 20 has been indicated. In the case of large, heavy tents, plates 21 must be used to protect against sinking. These are also required for tents that are pitched on very soft ground. The plates can be fixed or detachable on the legs. FIG. 4 partly shows a sleeve 22 with a plate, which sleeve is pushed onto legs without a stop ring, and partly a loose plate 23 for legs with a stop ring 24.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 5, the fixed frame part is made in two parts in order to facilitate transport. 25, 26 denote Ver connecting plates for the two sections.
The tent frame can be expanded with any number of pairs of legs. The connection of several tents in a straight line is shown in FIG. In Figs. 6 and 7, the connection of two tents is shown at 90 degrees. However, any angle can be selected. In the example shown, inner leg pairs of standard construction are used. On two pair of legs, one frame part 4, fastened in a hinge-like manner, is pivoted against the fixed frame part.
Each 45 segment also includes an extension part 27, a ridge part 28 and a coupling part 29, which is connected in the usual manner and with a forked end and with fastening devices of a suitable type, for. B. screw and wing nut is provided.
Fig.8 shows the connection of three tents. An additional pair of legs is not required here, but only two ridge parts 30 and two coupling parts 31 which correspond to the coupling part 29. In the embodiment according to FIG. 9, another tent is connected, which forms an extension of one of the three tents.
In the connection according to FIG. 10, only a framework extension in the form of a ridge part 32 is required, which is inserted through a hole in the gable top of the tent canvas, so that the tong-like extension 33 rests directly on the rib, while the, for example, tubular end rests against the gable of the framework.
FIG. 10 also shows permanently sewn-on tent connecting canvas 35, which are arranged in such a way that they can be connected to one another without the use of special connecting devices and can be rolled up and fastened outside the gable when not in use. In this embodiment, the connecting small wall extends over half of the joint and a little over the ridge. A double cap 34 is sewn on the other half, on the outer part 34 of which (FIG. 13) the inwardly directed brackets 3-8 are riveted.
During the connection, the tent canvas 35 is inserted into the cap 34, the bracket 38 is guided through the eyelets 39 in the tent canvas 35 and in the inner cap part, whereupon the locking rope 40 is pulled through the bracket. The locking rope 40 is provided with a tip, e.g. B. made of brass, so that it can be easily pulled through the bracket. A suitable number of ropes is used for the closure, these being designed in a suitable length. One rope should extend to the attachment of the next rope. 11 shows the overlap of the ridge 32. This is pushed into the lower canvas 35 so that it cannot fall down.
The tube is held in place by straps 37 or is completely sewn in. 36 be denotes a water drainage cap that covers the eyelets 39 in the upper canvas. The part of the cap resting against the lower canvas is bent upwards when the bracket 38 is inserted. When the stirrup has been inserted, the rope 40 is pulled through it in the usual manner.
When connected to a loose canvas (Fig. 12), a double cap is placed around the edges. Of course, other alternatives are also conceivable. So z. B. the whole Ver binding canvas according to Fig. 12 on .einem tent are firmly sewn, etc.
In the connection according to FIG. 13, a bracket 38, rotary handle or the like is arranged on the inside of the outer part 34 of the double cap and is guided through the eyelets 39 in the connecting canvas 35, 43 and the inner cap 42, whereupon the securing with locking rope, rotary handle or the like.
In the window opening according to FIG. 14, the opening 44 on the lower edge is seen with an incision 45 so that a window arranged between the tent canvas 52 and a cap 46 can be inserted with its lower edge into the canvas from the outside. On the inside, a loop 49 with an eyelet for attaching the locking ropes is seen easily. One of the ropes (50) is passed through the bracket 38 'vertically downwards and then along the underside of the window in the horizon tal direction, while the other (51) is drawn first in the horizon tal and then in the vertical direction.
The window 48 (Fig. 15) consists of transparent plastic 54 or the like with festgenäh th or glued strips 55 as Fenstereintei development. On the outside, a strong frame 56 for fastening eyelets 47 or brackets 38 'is seen before. At the bottom a cap 53 is attached, which grips over the lower edge of the window opening during installation.
During assembly (FIG. 16), the brackets 38 'are guided through the eyelets 47 in the same way as in FIG. Above and on the sides, the window engages between the tent canvas 52 and the inner cap 46, and below the cap 53 engages over the tent canvas 52. This gives the window a light-tight seal all around, which cannot be opened from the outside. Since the lower edge of the window only faces outwards, accumulated rainwater cannot flow into the tent.
