So kön nen z.
Axial Compressor The present invention relates to an axial compressor with at least one ring of blades which are fastened at one end to the stator or to the rotor and connected to one another at their other end by a locking ring.
If the flow speed of the working medium is locally reduced in a guide or rotor blade ring, separation can occur, whereby the efficiency of the compressor is reduced ver. The purpose of the invention is to counteract this. According to the invention, this is to be achieved in that there are openings in the vicinity of the ends connected by the end ring through which the working medium can flow from one side of a blade to the other side.
The invention is based on the assumption that a useful effect in the design of the blades, which have a small gap from the adjacent parts at one end, is to be ascribed to the fact that a mixed flow between the adjacent blade channels over the blade tips creates turbulence is generated in the working medium near the blade ends. This effect is diminished as the tip clearance is reduced. The invention is directed towards achieving turbulence in the area of the parts connecting the blades, where it is usually strongly inhibited in previous designs.
In the following, exemplary embodiments of the invention are described with reference to the multi-stage axial compressor shown in the drawing Ausfüh. In the drawing, FIG. 1 is part of a longitudinal section through the axis, from which the blades of the individual blade wreaths can be seen; FIG. 2 is a section along the line II-11 of FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 is a section along the line III-III of FIG. 1, the projection plane being folded over by 180 into the plane of the drawing.
The compressor shown in the drawing has a stator housing 1 and a rotor 2, which can have any known shape in and of themselves. The stator housing has a ring of inlet guide vanes 3 and successive rings of stator blades 5, 7, 9 and 11, while the rotor carries successive rings of blades 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12. The blades of each ring form a plurality of passage channels for the working medium.
Each rotor blade 4 has a blade root 13 with projections 14 which are inserted in a groove 15 of the rotor. At the radially outer end of the blades 4 is an end ring 16. This ring can endlessly surround all the blades 4, or it can be interrupted at one or more points, it only being necessary that each part is attached to several blades. The end face of each blade 4 has a radially extending extension 17 which passes through the locking ring and is deformed and thus holds the latter on the blade face.
The closing ring lies in an annular channel 18 of the stator housing and limits the path of the pressure medium through the compressor. According to the invention, the end face of the vane 4 has recesses 19, so that the end of the vane has several rectangular end tabs, since the recesses extend through the entire thickness of the vane. In this way, the working medium can flow freely from one side of the blade to the other.
Each stator blade 5 has a pin 20 at the blade root which is inserted into a corresponding recess 21 in the stator housing, where it is fastened with the aid of the threaded bolt 22 and the nut 23. In addition to the pin 20, the blade has a ge know distance from the stator housing. Through the gap 24 formed in this way, the working medium can flow from one side of the blade to the other.
The radially inner ends of the stator blades have an end ring 25 which corresponds to the end ring 16 of the rotor blades 4. The end ring 25 is similarly located in a channel 26 of the rotor and is attached to each blade 5 by a protruding part 17. Just next to the end ring 25, the blade 5 has recesses, which thus each form a gap on both sides of the projection 17.
The rotor blades 6 have blade roots and an end ring 16 like the rotor blades 4. This also lies in a channel 18. In the vicinity of the end ring 16 are openings in each blade 6, which can be round like the hole 28 or rectangular like the hole 29 or which protrude into the blade from the blade edge, like the notch 30. Similar openings 31 and 32 are located in the vicinity of the blade root 13.
Each stator blade 7 has a blade root 23 with projections 34 which are embedded in a corresponding recess 35 on the circumference of the stator housing. The blades have an end ring 25 like the blades 5, which is located in a channel 26 of the rotor. In this case, the closing ring has depressions which are spaced apart from one another and which are somewhat longer in the circumferential direction than the blade thickness. The indentations are made so that they reach under each blade so that the working medium can flow freely under the blade end.
The rotor blades 8 also have blade feet 13 and an end ring 16 like the blades 4 and 6. However, the end ring 16 has a plurality of expressions 37 which are axially distan and extend in the direction of the circumference at least over the area of each blade. The end face of each blade 8 stands on some of the features so that the working medium can flow through under the blade end. Each blade root 13 has a blind hole 38, the surface of its one side runs obliquely to the blade profile and from branch holes 39 and 40 on both sides of the blade profile.
The working medium can flow through these holes from one side of the blade to the other. When the blade root sits in its groove, the open end of the blind hole 38 is closed on the side.
Each stator blade 9 has a blade root 33 like the blades 7, and these stator blades 9 be seated an end ring 25 like the blades 5, which has space in a channel 26 of the rotor. Here round holes 41 and 42 are drilled radially into the end ring 25, which are arranged distributed on both sides of the end face of the blade. Here too, the working medium can therefore flow freely through the holes and thus from one blade side to the other.
In the rotor blades 10, the blade roots 13 and the end ring 16 correspond to the blade roots and the end ring in the blades 4. Rectangular openings 43 and 44 are arranged radially in the end ring so that they fulfill the same function as the holes 40 and 41 of Shovels 9.
In the case of the stator blades 11, the blade feet 33 and the end ring 25 correspond to the blade feet and the end ring in the blades 9. Elongated slots 45 and 46 are arranged in the end ring 25 near the blade leading and trailing edge. They serve the same purpose as the holes 41 and 42 in the blades 9.
Each of the rotor blades 12 has a look fuselage 13 like the blades 4, but these blade feet abut one another along surfaces 47 inclined to the rotor axis. Each surface 47 has radially extending cutouts 48 and 49 which are spaced apart from one another in the axial direction. These cutouts on adjacent blade roots together form holes that extend radially into a cavity 50 at the bottom of the blade root channel. The blades 12 have a connecting ring 51 with surfaces 52 which abut one another and which are inclined longitudinally to the rotor axis.
The surfaces 52 have axially spaced cutouts 53 and 54 which are connected to the channel 18 in which the locking ring is from. The surfaces 47 and 52 are inclined so ge, and the cutouts are arranged in her so that an effect is achieved in each case, the one of the holes 41 and 42 of the blades 9 is similar.
The constructions used on end rings 16 and 25 of blades 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 need not affect the sealing function of the end ring as its edges cooperate with the sides of the various channels to form a rotating seal. In addition, none of the constructions described, except perhaps that of the end ring 25 of the blades 11, will significantly reduce the stiffening effect of the end ring on the blades.
Although the exemplary embodiments described were applied alternately to rotor and stator blades for the sake of convenience, they can of course also be used vice versa. So can nen z. For example, the exemplary embodiments described in connection with a rotor blade and an associated end ring 16 can also be used on a stator blade and the corresponding end ring 25 and vice versa.
The exemplary embodiments that are present at the end of the rotor blades 6, 8 and 12 near the blade roots can of course be used at the corresponding ends of the other rotor blades or at the ends of the stator blades 7, 9 and 11.
It is clear that several of the exemplary embodiments described can also be used together with a single blade. In particular, each embodiment that is described with reference to the blades 4, 5, 6 and 7, can be used in combination with an embodiment as described with reference to the blades 9, 10 and 11.
