Valve The present invention relates to a valve intended, for example, to be mounted as a bypass on a pressurized fluid supply circuit in order to constitute a discharge member which limits the working pressure to a determined adjustable value.
According to the invention, the valve com carries a spherical shutter member guided in a chamber arranged in the body of the valve, and into which open, on the one hand, channels for discharging the fluid and, on the other hand, two coaxial bores the opposite ends of which present the seats for the shutter member and one of which is the channel for conveying the pressurized fluid, while the other ensures the guidance of a sealed piston which rests on said shutter member and which is integral with at least one permanent magnet, the action of which, in the direction of the closure of said born core channel, is adjustable by modifying the air gap.
The drawing shows, by way of example, a particular embodiment of the valve according to the invention.
In the single figure of the drawing, 1 designates the body of the valve in which a cylindrical chamber 2 is fitted which is connected, on the one hand, by a frustoconical bore 3, to a coaxial cylindrical bore 4, on the other hand to channels radial eva cuation 5, and finally to a coaxial bore 6 for supplying the pressurized fluid.
The edge of the upper end of the bore 6 constitutes the sealed seat of a spherical shutter 7. The bore 6 is preferably arranged in a removable sleeve 8 of the valve body 1.
The pressurized fluid supply line. (not shown) is connected to a nut 9 screwed onto the body 1 with the interposition of a seal 10; on the other hand, the channels 5 open into an annular chamber 11 formed in a sleeve 12 centered on the body 1 and on which the discharge pipe is connected (not shown).
In the bore 4 is guided a piston 13 provided with a seal 14 and on which is fixed to the upper part, by means of a screw 15, a plate 16 of non-magnetic metal.
On the plate 16 are fixed, at an equal distance from the axis of the piston 13 and using studs 17 fitted with nuts 18, two permanent magnets 19 formed by cylindrical masses; one could, of course, provide a higher number of magnets whose axes would be uniformly distributed on a circle concentric with the axis of the piston 13.
The gap e of the magnets 19 with respect to a plate 20 is adjusted by screwing more or less, on the valve body 1, said plate which is surmounted by a protective cover 21.
In the rest position shown, the shutter 7 is applied to the sleeve 8 by the action of the magnets 19.
As soon as the pressure of the fluid in the bore 6 exceeds a determined value, the shutter 7 is lifted and establishes communication, through the channels 5 and the chamber 11, with the evacuation pipe.
As shown in the drawing, the stroke of the shutter 7 is very small, just sufficient to allow the maximum flow rate envisaged.
On the other hand, the lifting of the shutter 7 has the effect of increasing the air gap e and, consequently, a decrease in the return action of the magnets 19. The shutter 7 therefore does not fall back on its seat. only when the fluid pressure has dropped to a value lower than that which caused the lifting of the shutter, which makes it possible to avoid the vibrations of the shutter which would occur in the event of a return action which would increase with the lifting of the shutter, such as that which would be provided by springs.
On the other hand, the permanent magnets give, for a low lift of the shutter, a large variation, easily controllable, of the return action.
